A day at Fenway Park is a great time. No matter where you are at in the park you can see everything going on in the game. The crowd is into it and it's a very family friendly place. It can be expensive for food and drinks so make sure you bring cash.

While in Boston, we stayed with some die-hard Red Sox fans that wanted to do this tour...since we are baseball fans (in general) we agreed to go. I am glad we did! The tour was very informative, the guide friendly and it was nice to be at one of the oldest stadiums around!

We just returned from tasking my husband to Fenway for his 40th b-day and we did the tour. It is well worth the time and money. A young girl lead our tour and she was extremely knowledgeable, not only did she provide all the facts she was taught for the tour but she was able to answer all the questions asked. If you want a chance to sit on the Green Monster, take the tour!

For members of Sox Nation, as far as sports-watching experiences go, arguably nothing could compare to actually being able to see the team live in this historic green monster of a ballpark surrounded by thousands of other Sox-crazed fans. The beer is expensive, the seats aren?t always comfy and not all views of the game are great (especially from the outfield), but Fenway is home for Sox fans and nothing can match the electricity of being at the ballpark on game day? especially when the Yankees are in town.

We attended the May 20, 2008 game at Fenway. We always park in the lot closest to the park (at the end of Yawkey Way), and have never had a problem. However, this time the parking lot attendant waved us in, yet wouldn't take our cash (even though we had our arm out the window with cash in hand as we pulled in), and all he said was "you need a permit" but he waved us in. He then turned his back to us and approached the driver of the car behind us, and we had nowhere to go, but straight ahead into the lot. After parking, we approached him to try to pay him again, but he now said (for the first time), you have to move your car or you'll be towed. I was with a 5-year old who wears orthopedic braces and has difficulty walking and asked him where else we might park, and he ignored us several times, then started shouting "I'm busy, I'm busy, can' you see I'm busy - I have work to do". He appeared to be very stressed out and irritated and treated many patrons rudely. We tried to talk to him several times, but he kept ignoring us (all the while continuing to yell at other patrons who were trying to park). He eventrually extened his hand and said "Just pay me $30 and then move your car to another spot), which we did, but his attitude was way out of line. Don't know if he is a subcontractor who works at the lot or if he is affiliated with the Sox of Fenway in any way, but this man should definitely NOT be the first contact that fans have when they arrive at friendly Fenway. A Fenway or Sox administrator should casually hang around that area prior to the next game, and they will assuredly witness firsthand what I'm talking about and witness his extremely rude behavior.

I like Fenway but the people that worked there were entirely out of line and made me embaressed to be a red sox fan. I was refused service and refused help, and was robbed by actual employees which made me regret the entire experience. To make matters worse I spent 20 minutes trying to find a way to contact fenway park making the entire experience that much worse. Now, I have to spend my Monday I usually spend working, trying to replace my stolen ATM card that was taken by an employee. I suggest you find better ways of serving Fenway costumers.

Prices are about average.

View from the front seats are awesome.

Nice friendly family atmosphere.

I would recommend this venue on almost every area except parking. But I recently found a way rounf that using www.parklet.co.uk who rent out parking spaces nearby.

The tours at Fenway Park gives you behind the scenes look at Americas favorite ballpark. Our tourguide was funny, patient, and very informative. He told of much of the history of the park. We got to see many different areas, and things that the public doesnt get to see. The highlight had to be being on the Green Monster! Especially since the chances are slim to none that I'll ever have a seat there during a game. A must do for any baseball fan, but an absolute thrill for Red Sox fans.

Talk about your classic ballparks, Fenway is one of the best classic ballparks still standing in the country today. You got the green monster, very dedicated Red Sox nation, some seats along the third base line that's been there since Fenway opened, and the good ballpark food. This is the most Authentic Ball park left.
Unfortunately, while the park is authentic the parking is archaic. The easiest way to find a spot is, www.parkatmyhouse com. just search around fenway. There are lots of driveways available for cheap rental during game time. It beats paying the exorbitant garage rates, and/or walking from a distant lot. I would highly recommend this park to any baseball fan.

let me start out by saying i LOVE the red sox, but fenway park is a joke!! forget this nostalga stuff (i guess all you fenway lovers like to sit in front of your old time mono radio and listen to the games instead of your wide screen hi def tv, and of course you take your horse and buggy to the game!) lets get real! it is way too small , very very uncomfortable ,horrible food , and the prices for every thing are just outragious!! , it is cheaper to fly down to baltimore and stay at a hotel and get great seats at camden yards(now thats a ballpark!!) than it is to go to a game at fenway with dredfull obstucted view seats! i live less than 15 miles away from fenway and i would rather stay home and watch the sox on tv even if i got the tickets for free!! NOT worth the parking nightmare or the uncomfortable overcrowded seats

Fenway is a classic old stadium --one word... character-it brings you back to the days of old when people where smaller and life was simpler.. The Food is average --stick to hotdogs and sausage --do not go with anything else-- The tap beer (bud light) will stay with you for 2 days --the bathrooms are tight and the people rude. With the new management the team and the city have gone totally corporate.. do not be conned into thinking this is an small market town team --they are not -look at the dunkin donuts signs on every wall (some in Japanese) and you will see for yourself..If your looking for a good time go when they are playing a bad team --ie the DRAYS or the Royals.. You will hear less of the trash that has become the norm and has made this Place a terrible family event.. The other thing is the ticket prices which have become outrageous.

Fenway is the best stadium period. Sure it might have high prices, tiny seats, and obstructed views but the atmosphere in and around the park makes it all worth it. When you go to other cities like New York or Chicago you can go into a sporting goods store to buy a team jersey or hat. However, when you got to Boston every vendor in the city has at least one type of Red Sox memoribilia in their store. I was at the Boston aquarium and they were selling Red Sox keychains in the gift shop! This just goes to show that the Red Sox aren't just part of the city, they are the city. I was in Boston one time and I didn't even have a ticket to the game but just walking around the park before game time seeing the masses of people and all of the excitement before the game was an amazing experience. There is no other place on earth like Fenway!

My Boyfriend is originally from New Hampshire so when he wanted to head back home for vacation I made it a point that we needed to see a Red Sox game! I mean walking into Fenway was unbelieveable!!! The people and the ambiance made the 7 hour flight so worth it!!! To the comment when a man said they need a new stadium....I can feel your pain but you have no idea how much Fenway park is soooo much better then the NEW Arizona Diamondbacks stadium! I think it would break the hearts of many red sox nation fans to build a new stadium! Being my first time there I can see how Fenway Park has a special bond to red sox fans. I plan on heading back this year to see fenway again and to cheer on the red sox while they play the diamondbacks in June!! Go Sox!!!

I go over to Fenway 2 or 3 times a year from New York, mainly because I love the Sawx. I would go more often but the prices are skyrocketing. That being said, it is easily one of the best baseball experiences, for Sox fans, and for baseball fans in general. It is a place whereyou can feel safe, bringing your wife, and little ones. I have been w/ the family, and without....(more fun without)!!!! It is family oriented outside on Yawkey Way, which is closed to ticket holders only, before the game. There are bands playing, clowns on uni-cycles, and jugglers all around. There is also some of the best sausage sandwiches I have ever had, along w/ BEER, and other drinks for the kids. Now when I walk into the PARK, i still get chills when I see the MONSTER, and the perfectly groomed grass...it is awesome. Also, make sure you don't leave your seat during the 7th inning stretch, as they will be playing Sweet Caroline, and the whole PARK sings along..............It is an awesome experience, every baseball fan should see at least once.......I hope they never tear it down!!!!!!

Fenway park is not just a place where our current baseball stars call home, but a place so rich and full of history. You can almost feel the baseball players of times past sitting in the seats with you. It's a place where your grandfather took your father and your father took you. There is a huge sense of pride and joy. It's always a happy place whether it is a rainy october day or a hot July night. You don't care because you are there with the Sox. The greatest place on earth. The Chapel, Fenway Park. Hailee Martin

Fenway park is someplace that is so rich in history. But the people and fans are so fun and the players so friendly. I love bringing my children to fenway it may be very expensive to eat and park but the experience is well worth it. If you are a fan of the Red Sox or a true base ball fan you have got to come to Fenway and help cheer us on. Don't worry if you are clueless on baseball there are enough fans who will help you out with a smile.

Fenway Park should be a place that all baseball fans visit once in their lives. Is the stadium old? Yes, but with that comes a history rich in tradition. I'm sitting in the seats that my great grandparents saw games in, Watching the mechanical scoreboard move just like my grandfather did, it's amazing. Going to a game is not a cheap trip at all, but it's worth it. There's more to Fenway than just the park. Unlike some stadiums (ex. Yankee stadium), you can hang around outside, before and after the games.

Fan attendance is outstanding, and you'll never find a more knowledgeable group. If you ever get a chance to go, you should.

It's not just the seat that you are sitting in that is small it's that the seat in front of you is caste iron and it rides right in middle of your knee cap! And it hurts! I'm 6ft and have short legs and I only made it to the 6th inning!
As for the rest of the park ist like stepping back 50 years, a real treat but I won't want to go everyday! Once in a life time, yes but not everyday!

Parking? That's a ratings category for a BALLPARK? What a joke! As ballparks should be, Fenway is urban. If you're dumb enough to not take the T, you deserve to pay $50 to park. America's Most Beloved Ballpark is, simply put, the best place on earth to watch a ballgame. As Derek Lowe recently said, "At other stadiums, you look into the stands and you see colors. At Fenway, you see faces." The same is true when watching the game from the stands. Tickets are nigh on impossible to get, but well worth the effort. Baseball the way it was made to be seen.

Fenway with my dad in the 80's, these are memories that can't be replaced. Truth is this place is not worth visiting anymore. Tickets, parking, food, for one game is the highest in league. If you can even ticket, they are all sold out to corporate.I'm treated like a terrorist if I want a beer because I have a NH license, they don't accept that and food, big bucks.Bathrooms/Seating sucks Don't let you in anymore to see batting practice/warmup.Parking wretched, take the green line and cram in.Those great suasage vendors.Go elsewhere. Pittsburgh is amazing. Miss the Big O, served beer right at your seats, as many you wanted, there was no cut off,for less than 20bucks I could sit back and V. Guerro do his warm ups in the outfield yards away. New stadium in Manchester, Fishercats, can't wait to relax, bring the kids, sip a beer, hold the wife and watch Americas past time.

Pros: tradition

Cons: price

The city of Boston and Red Sox fans around the world can breath a sigh of relief. Sox ownership has announced that Fenway will be the teams home until at least 2012. Let me promise you that the seats and prices have no effect on the deep emotions being inside the stadium conjures. If you have not seen a game here, you should, and if you have, you cannot deny the lure to see another. The curse may be broken, but the soul of Fenway will always inspire each individual who sits in her seats.

There is no other experence like going to Fenway. The most historic and the most fun with the best team, plus if you can some how get tickets to a Yankee game it is a once in a life time experence.

If you are a baseball fan and in Boston, go to a game, period. I also recommend the tour of the park ($8).
Don't believe people that say most seats are obstructed or that the seat are unbearable. If you can't fit in the grandstand seat, which are original, you should be worrying more about your weight than how small the seats are. They aren't that small. And Fenway is so small that you are never that far from the action.
Don't drive to the game, take the T to the Kenmore stop.

There's a reason that all the new parks have copied various features of Fenway. Go see the original.

The seats are tiny, the tickets, food and souveniers are expensive and then there is the question of where to park. Even so, I make the trip to Boston (from Maine) at least once per season and always have a fantastic time. The atmosphere at Fenway is phenomenal, the fans are immensly loyal and I get chills every time a ball goes soaring over the green monster. I would recommend visiting this historic park at least once. If you aren't a Red Sox fan when you enter, hopefully you will be when you leave :)

Cons: , No parking..., Did I mention $$$?

1st of all, I am not baseball's biggest fan. We took a tour in June while the Red Sox were in L.A. BUT, the second you enter the vacant park, it comes to life within you. the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, the history encourages that feeling even more. Check out the dents in the green monster. Everyone in Boston kept asking "Have you been to Fenway yet?" Now I can say "yeah brother, I've been to Fenway" and it ranks way up there in life's experiences for me..& it was my wife's idea!

While it's a great old ballpark, the access is pretty limiting, the seats are tiny, and this attraction is far from free. If you just want to walk around the park, it won't cost you anything, but trying to buy a ticket and the concessions that go along with a ballgame will set you back a pretty penny. Even thought they offer a tour of the park, that costs money too.

Cons: , no parking available, too high prices

On May 3rd 2003 I had my first taste of the MONSTER SEATS. What an AWESOME view!! I can't believe its taken so long to add seats on the Green Monster wall. If you can get seats you wont be dissappointed. The only drawback to seeing a lot of games at Fenway is, what else, concession prices. They will always be high. Pizza will sometimes look undercooked, subs too small, beer will spill, hotdogs are awesome though. Fenway Dogs are cool too. Bathrooms relatively clean. Sometimes Anti-Yankee fans get out of control and yell, "Yankees Suck!", even though they are 5 games ahead of Boston. It actually makes more sense to say, "Red Sox RULE!" or "This is the CENTURY!" Bashing the team in first place makes us sound insecure. When Yankee fans start chanting that we suck, then we'll know the BO-SOX are on their way to a championship.

If you want to see Fenway and can't get a ticket, opt for the stadium tour. I went on a non-gameday, but I believe they offer them early on gamedays.
The tourguides are informational and hilarious. I got to sit in the .406 Club, walk on the field, and stand on top of the Green Monster. The hour tour was amazing.

Pros: Must-see, Air conditioned

You will need to take out a second mortgage in order to take your family to a ballgame. Boston is in dire need of a new stadium, but I don't see that ever happening. They practically sell out the entire season (without ever winnig a World Series...go figure) so I don't forsee any change in the near future. You're better off watching them on TV.

While Fenway Park certainly has a number of faults it is still a truly fun place to take your son and daughter. Hopefully, the new management will make some serious upgrades to the facility.

over priced tickets, over priced beer ($6.50), putting your life at risk sitting in the bleachers and the food sucks. If you want real baseball can I suggest Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, heck even Shea and that place is pretty bad too. Save your money, pick another vacation spot and just watch the game on tv, it'll be better than being there.

Fenway Park stands the oldest park in the Major Leauge baseball. Over 15 years now, the Red Sox has been planning to build a new ballpark, despite of the fans trying to stop them from knocking down a major piece of Fenway Park, the owners has agreed to stop the plan for the next couple years.

Going to Fenway is a great experience and I recommend it. However, be prepared to be uncomfortable. The seats are hard and small. Oh...and the food is extremely expensive. I don't knwo what its like since they've shut off Yawky Way either.

As far as fenway goes. I have to say it is the greatest relic we have in boston and one of the greatest parks in the USA. I never appreciated fenway until I left to go to school in minnesota. I live right off beacon street, ( so close I would jog past it once a week) It was always there, like a blanket or something comforting. Granted, we havent won a world series since 1918, still, Boston has the MOST spirited fans baseball has ever seen. If you go to fenway during any game, I garauntee you will see the crowd that will live and die for the team and that park. When they start playing sweet caroline or boston youre my home, people get up and dance. To those who arent native bostonians, they see fenway as a wonderful, magical, piece of history...in three words: I love it

If you feel like paying 10 times the price for parking, pushing your way through thousands of drunks die-hard baseball fans, paying ridiculous prices for crappy food that you wait 20 minutes in line for all to sit back in your tin seat covered in sode to squint at the field from a far, fall asleep from bordom, haul out of the park with even drunker fools, uncanny traffic and a headache, then yeah, go ahead....go to Fenway.

But only if you feel like it.

I went to my first game at that dump in 1963 and it was outdated then. In my life I've been to ten other major league venues and every one of them has something better than Fenway. That place is vastly overrated. It must have at least a dozen good seats and in some of them you can actually see the entire playing field. If the Red Sox are ever serious about trying to win the World Series they should raize that House of Horrors and build a great stadium like Camden Yards. Only then can they stop putting together teams that couldn't win the championship in 1956
