Dr. Steven Shoshany

Dr. Steven Shoshany is truly one of the best choices for anyone in New York City area. His staff is not only efficient but understanding, they make you immediately comfortable. His office is beautiful and has all of the latest equipment. I was suffering with a shooting pain from my lower back into my calf, after taking x-rays and explaining to me what he was going to do I started treatment.
I felt better after the first visit and by the third visit my pain has been reduced by 60%. I highly recommend Dr. Shoshany to anyone that I meet that is looking for a Chiropractor.

Im not an active person, not an Olympian, hard core mountaineer or anything like that, just regularly active. I run, ski, work in my yard, build things, pretty much keep myself busy being productive. I am not expecting to do anything out of the ordinary, but at the same time I dont like to be deprived of an activity, because of the condition of my body.

When I hurt my back, the pain would get progressively worse. It would start as a mild soreness in my lower back, and then increase in intensity until my legs felt as if they were covered in Charlie horses, otherwise known as sciatica. Anyway the pain was so debilitating that I had to roll out of bed sideways to get my knees on the floor so I could slowly brace myself against the wall to sit myself up. Once I was up, there was no bending over. To pull up my socks I had to flatten myself on my back, raise my knees to my chest to support my back as I tugged at the soft cotton. It sounds pathetic, but its true - I felt like I had aged 80 years.

At first I was apprehensive about going to yet another Rx who promised to eliminate the pain. I was wrong. The morning after the first session, the sciatica was almost non-existent. After 2 years of morning stiffness and pain, I got out of bed without an ounce of pain. It was incredible. I know its clich, but I felt young again. After the month long treatment, the pain was gone. I could bend over and tie my shoes. I no longer looked at the floor in fear that something would fall and I would have to pick it up.

I am now going to my follow-up sessions to make sure the disc is properly healed so I can get back to my normal active life. I cant stress it enough; spinal decompression works. It has taken away the pain that no doctor, acupuncturist or yoga instructor could do.

Even though his practice didnt accept my health insurance, he quickly worked out an affordable plan that saved me from spending a fortune on an already tight budget. He also didnt charge me for the initial consult, which other chiropractors do.

Ive seen five other chiropractors in the past three years, but the treatment I received from Dr. Shoshany was unparalleled. Dr. Shoshany put me on his state-of-the-art DRX machine (which, unlike other noisy machines, is completely silent), manually adjusted my back and neck on his specialized decompression table, and gave me a four-pronged (normally a two-pronged) stem treatment, which stimulated the nerves below the surface of my back. Suffice it to say that I walked out feeling like a million bucks each time.

I have been a chronic back pain sufferer for at least 6 years now since my ski injury that injured disc in my low back.
I saw some ads in the subway, then in the newspaper and I even saw a infomercial on cable all about this new scientific discovery known as "spinal decompression".

I went in with a horrible horrible neck pain and headaches. By the first adjustment I knew right away that I was in the right place! I also refered my boss who had a disc herniation in his lower back and Dr. Shoshany used spinal decompression on it and resolved his disc herniation!
