Suncraft did an amazing job on our room addition! It started with Dave, the designer & the time & patience he demonstrated in the design and planning of our project. He came to our house many times & answered all of our questions & addressed any concerns we had along the way. We are very happy with the craftsmanship & the on-site workers. Everyone has been professional & they finished in a timely manner. We would recommend their services.
We were very close to committing $50,000 to this company. I really liked the designs and my husband wanted to wait until after the home show to commit. The sales lady was good in designing and understanding her design layout. I started feeling uncomfortable when she would keep all her calculations held close to her and would then just write down a new price and her numbers didn't calculate correctly. When I gave her a story about my boss having an issue with work he had them do that was not resolved, she quickly dismissed it by saying he should have called "her" to fix it.
When she was at my home, she walked over to my nearly new stainless steel French door bottom freezer refrigerator and attempted to measure at the top when she dropped the tape measure and it fell down front of right door and hit floor. I didn't look at the door right away. Today, as I was cleaning kitchen, I noticed the scratches that had been left. When she was called about this, she actually called us liars and said that we only wanted a new fridge. Sorry lady, the fridge is already new and your reaction today is what we can expect of Suncraft if we signed your agreement. So, I will go with another contractor to put in my new kitchen sunroom. Beware of this group, not to be trusted.
I'd give them less than one star if possible for construction of our pergola. Should have known better when the sales/design guy had a problem looking me in the eye. The sales and design process went okay but it was interesting how they were so dilligent about collecting their money, then how intentionally vague they were about when the job would begin. Be sure to tack 6-8 weeks onto whatever they promise you.
Weeks after they said work would begin, a pile of crappy lumber showed up on our patio. I had to call and tell them the rotten stuff wasn't acceptable. They did swap it out for better materials.
The kicker was when they annoucned the job was "complete" and it was time to hand over the last check. I have basic carpentry knowledge--thank goodness--and was able to identify the places where they failed to nail key structural pieces or just did a crappy job (the nail bent and they just hammered it in.) It was structurally insecure and dangerous. Absolutely horrible work. Insulting that they would have considered that a finished job.
What I really liked was the jerk carpenter who acted like he was going to take a swing at me if I didn't give him the last check. I told him he'd get the check when the job was complete. Don't be fooled by any of their promises. These guys are low-class thugs.
I will say that the work was ultimately finshed to our satisfaction, but only because I checked it out closely and didn't have a problem calling some jerk carpenter's macho bluff.
Just a bunch of jerks.
We had Suncraft remove an existing paver patio and reinstall a larger patio, steps to our sun-room, rail, seat wall and pillars. The patio was out of plum at the time the work was complete, but they refused to fix it properly. Their intimidation tactics were of concern to us, therefore we reluctantly paid the final cost of the job. Now 3 years later, the patio, steps, and rail have sunk to the point where it is now below code and water is building up around the egress window at the foundation. The seat wall is leaning toward our neighbor's property. It took them 4 months to start the job they were contracted to do while having a large portion of the payment upfront. When trying to cancel the project before it started, they refused to refund our money. The experience as a whole was quite disconcerting.

We are very pleased with our basement project. Suncraft gave us exactly what we wanted. Their price was better than the other bids we got and the workmanship was second to none. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to finish their basement. Our neighbors used them for a room addition and they were equally pleased.
We hired Suncraft to build and new sunroom and remodel our kitchen. We talked to several contractors but chose Suncraft for their professionalism and design capabilities. We are so pleased with the results. We could't be happier with our ""new"" house.
We had Suncraft remodel our kitchen and add a new sunroom to our home. They were very professional and easy to work with. We highly recommend this company.
We contracted with Suncraft to remodel our 4 season room. The owner, i assume he was the owner, came over to discuss our needs. he was patient and asked a lot of good questions. He actually came up with a couple of great design ideas that we ended up using. The price was very fair (we checked with a few local competitors) and the workmen were very nice and clean and professional. The job was completed on time with no hassles. I read the other reviews and I can tell you we had no problems whatsoever. I will be using Suncraft again next season to build a large addition.
Pros: Professional, good pricing, great work.
Absolutely fantastic experience. great design ideas that really came to life in my ""Florida"" room and deck. First class materials, workmenship and follow through. I am extremely pleased with the job they did and i should have had them do an additional room. I will be using them again next season!!
Pros: Top notch designer, straightforward pricing, great work
Cons: I should done another room with them!
Had a sun room added, they talked the talked but don't walk the walk. They used very cheap material, thrown together, now having many problems, windows leak and cold air blows in badly, I was told they used the best meterial, would hate to see their cheap material.\r
Very bad smells coming from room, Called many times to see if they would help me with problems, of course they said sure BUT never did, call again get the same. Not worth the hassle, called outside company who told me they have to repair MANY of these jobs done by this company (suncraft). There is just too much here for me to list. Paid WAY too much for said room, like 3 times too much. I strongly urge you to get as much information about the job you want to do and get many quotes! and remember the cheapest one is the cheapest one and that is what you will end up with. pay more to a good company and have a good product that stand behind it, GET IT IN WRITING! or use a company like this one.\r
Pros: talks the talk
Cons: cheap mat'l, poor follow up
The other complaints on this site about this company are absolutely true down to the details about the degrading treatment of customers once the job has started. It would take us a book to list all the problems that we had, and as another member posted .... do not expect them to correct faulty workmanship or stand by their product. It's true that the president of this company has an extreme attitude problem and lies, hurls insults and basically treats his customers in a degrading fashion. They will request a large figure upfront and once that is secured, the nightmare starts. We stronly recommend staying away from this outfit at all costs, but if you choose to use them, beware!
Cons: The list is too long!
We contacted them to remodel our basement. Our neighbor used them for a room addition and they recommended we call them. The salesman they sent out was a pleasure to work with. He had wonderful ideas for us. We had other basement companies out and they gave us a better layout for a lot less money than the others. We wanted drywall. The other companies tried to sell us fabric covered wall panels and ceiling tiles which we didn't want. The workers showed up every day and cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling work.
Pros: Did what they promised. No hassles. Great price. No surprises.
This company came to our house and gave us wonderful ideas. Our salesman was very knowledgable and creative. He looked at our back yard and then was able to come up with a design that fit in perfectly. The prices they quoted us were in line with others but we feel we got much more than offered by other companies. The sunroom they built looks like it was part of our original house. The workers showed up every day and kept everything very neat and clean. We were quite impressed with how organized they are. We wish these guys had done our garage. We highly recommend hiring them if you want a quality job!
This company really knows it's stuff. The designer we met with was very creative and was able to provide the whole project at a price we felt was very fair. He came up with a design that blended in with the style of our home perfectly. It looks like it was built with our house originally. The guys that build our project were very hard workers. They showed up every day and hardly stopped for a break. Suncraft took out a window and installed a door and barely made a mess. We got several estimates from other companies that were much more expensive for the same thing. We give them a first class rating.
Pros: High quality at a fair price!
DO NOT sign with Suncraft. They look nice up front, but they are horribly mean and angry people. They do not honor their word nor their guarantee. Their owner doesn't care what happens to you or your patio and he will rip your head off for asking anything. This mentality trickles down to their sales force (once they get their money)\r
If you should happen to try and use their ""satisfaction guarantee"" the answer is something like ""no I don't think so.""\r
If you should happen to be uphappy with the work, you'll need a lawyer to get it resolved.\r
Pros: The workers were nice, the work was pretty good
Cons: Doesn't honor guarantee, mean, angry owners and sales force, dishonest management
We were attracted with the price they offered for what they said they would do. Unfortunately 2000 characters are not enough to list what they did wrong although they always had bad excuses prepared.\r
Some contractors they(suncraft) sent was very nice, but Suncraft does not treat you as customers. They actualy shout you on a phone if you say something they don't want to hear such as the door they installed does not latch. Be aware.
Pros: nothing I experienced
Cons: service. some work quality. and it is not the cheapest either.
