I went in this morning not really sure what i wanted to get done but i had an idea of what i wanted. Brittany ran some ideas by me and she ended up doing a stacked bob. It came out really cute and it was just what i was looking for. I wish i would have took her recommendation and got bangs like she suggested. She does a really good job and caters to your desired look.

Felicia has really opened my eyes to possibilities that I've never considered for my look. Beyond just hairstyling, cutting and coloring, which are sublime, she has a keen eye for several little things that really make a man's look pop and a woman's features sparkle. My hair is pretty simple, but I've seen her work on other male clients who demand more from her and she delivers every time.

I started going to Felicia several months ago after years with the same stylist. While I could go on and on about how much I've loved the cuts I've gotten from her, I think the best testimonial is that since I've been going to her, people frequently stop me and ask who cuts my hair. That's never happened to me before!

Quite a few of my friends have also abandoned their long-time stylist to go to her and call me as soon as they leave her chair to tell me how much they love her!

She's a pro a giving a modern cut that fits one's facial features and personality. Love her!

Felicia is my stylist from Altitude and she is awesome!!! I always get exactly what I ask for and if I want to try something different she knows what will look good with my skin tone, bone structure, etc. She has a fun personality and is a wonderful stylist!

I'm delighted that Felicia has settled in at Altitude salon. It's a good match! I trust her with my hair and believe I could go to any of her co-workers with confidence.

Felicia has been my stylist for five years, and she has transformed my experience of having hair. I've never been one to spend time with styling products, curling irons and blowdryers, and most of my past cuts have been pretty boring. Felicia has given me a variety of interesting cuts that have all been simple to maintain. She has also taught me a couple of quick tricks to turn my windblown mess into something more respectable. She's very good at understanding what I mean if I say I want my hair "wispy" or "flipped" or "angled."

I would recommend Altitude and Felicia to any of my friends!

I followed Felicia to this salon earlier this spring and I love it! It's so easy to get to and very relaxing--great music too! I love my stylist. I read on this board someone saying they felt that the stylists at Altitude did not seem that into advanced training. I don't know what the other stylists are like (other than that they are really nice!), but this is not so in the case of Felicia. She has received years of advanced technical training and it really shows!

She is simply a joy to have appointments with--professional, always leading me into new styles and out of old ones with grace, makes wonderful suggestions and always helps me out of a jam. She always takes her time with me and I never feel rushed or unimportant. Something I also really like about her is that she always tailors her services to my needs. For instance, I stupidly colored my own roots for a last minute night on the town and missed some spots around my face. She mixed up a tiny amount of color and applied it to my spots for me--without being asked and free of charge! She appreciates my budget and patronage and always makes allowances for me. I highly recommend Felicia Felicia Felicia! I just can't say it enough. I just think she's the best. Go see her!

I came to Altitude salon referred by my friend who sees Felicia. It's like the gates of hair heaven were opened and rain drops of pure happiness washed over me!

This woman is simply amazing. I've been to her 4 times now for cut and colors and eyebrow waxes and I simply can't believe how my hair looks! Every time I sit in her chair, she takes it from the top, asks me how the style is working, what I like and don't like. EXCELLENT consultations while drinking a glass of wine. You never get the feeling she is just waiting for you to shut up so she can start cutting away.

I came in stuck in a style rut for ten years. She has gradually brought me to a new style that I never thought I could pull off and every time I see myself in the mirror, I love the way my hair looks! She give amazing tips and pointers on how to do my own hair to look as good, too.

If you want a stylist who will make you feel comfortable the instant you sit in her chair--do yourself a favor. Go see this angel!

I was referred to Brittany by a close friend of mine. She came waltzing into work with a great color and cut a few weeks ago and I had to get mine does as well. About 20 years ago, I told my mom she could not cut my hair and I started going to professional salons. I never went back to the same place until I met Meaghan. Part of it was that I don't really worry about my hair but mostly it was because I never loved the cut I ended up with.

I saw Meaghan last fall and asked her to do whatever she wanted with the cut and color. She said okay and did what she thought would be great and it was!!! I have never been happier and I have been back several times and won't even think about seeing someone else. The hair cut was perfect for my face and was easy to take care of... I love Meaghan and Altitude salon and recommend it to everyone!

My Husband found an ad on craigslist for 50% off color with Brittany and booked me an appt. last Saturday for a mothers day gift. I was a little nervous trusting someone new with my hair, but I am so glad that I did. I wanted something new and she was able to give it to me. She gave me some really great blonde highlights with a sassy little bob that is so funky in the back. Overall it was a great experience and I will be recommending this salon and stylist to my friends and family.

I have been getting my hair done by Meaghan for 6 months now. I was referred by my sister who has been coming to Meaghan for a little over a year. I can honestly say that I look forward to seeing her every time I have an appointment. She is a wizard with her comb and scissors. She gives me what i ask for with a little flare in return. It's like going over to your girlfriends house. You chat it up, have a glass of wine, laugh your socks off, and leave looking great. I love this place and I will always return. I went to this salon because it's convenient and the reviews were consistently positive.
The room is nice. I just was not impressed with the stylist. I don't write reviews based on a single visit, because there's always the possibility a business is having a bad day.
I've been several times, and have been disappointed on every occasion. It seems like it's a good salon if you're not looking for anything "cutting edge". I didn't get the impression the stylists have spent much time on continuing education. Technique was very basic, with little creativity. This place is perfect if you're looking for an adequate style, but if you want anything special, you may want to look elsewhere.

I've been using Meaghan as my hair stylist for 3 years now. I was thrilled when she opened up Altitude Salon last year - she's an amazing person and nothing short of genius when it comes to cutting and coloring hair. I was uncomfortable with my looks when I first came to Meaghan - my curly hair was difficult to cut and I ended up looking prepetually frumpy before I met Meaghan. I walked in and said,"Do something with this!" Meaghan TRANSFORMED me with an incredible cut, in a style that was not only managable for me at home, but truly picked up my best features and camouflaged my weaker ones. Her cut changed the way I felt about myself. I walked out feeling confident, beautiful, and fashionable. Since then I haven't let another person touch my hair. A year ago I started having her put in highlights, and the transformation took on another level. She's amazing with hair color and I often get compliments on what a great job my stylist has done. I tell my friends that Meaghan may work with a different medium than Picasso, Matisse, or Monet, but like them, she is a true artist. Although I haven't personally used Brittney, I can tell Meaghan choose a stylist with matching talent to work in her salon. Brittney's clients walk away looking polished and gorgeous, like models from a magazine. I'd recommend Altitude salon in a heartbeat!!

I went for an appointment with Brittany at Altitude Salon after putting off getting my hair cut for months. The reason was that the last person at another place I used to go didn't listen when I said I did not want short layers and also cut a strange chunk out of one side of my hair. I finally got the nerve to try someone new and I'm glad. Brittany was very inquisitive throughout the process to make sure I was getting the cut I wanted. She also did a great job of blending the out of place short layer back into the rest of my cut. She is good at giving suggestions but honors what you ask of her. She styled my hair with a simple procedure but it looked very high class. She also did a great job at coloring my thick wiry massive hair. I will definitely go back. The evening after my hair appointment I even felt like dressing up and going out with my husband for some music. I saw myself in the mirror at the place we went and I looked ten years younger. Thanks Brittany!

I google searched salons around the area my mom lives in because I was looking to get a haircut over my spring break vacation. Several places showed up but Altitude Salon's website impressed and informed me. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were friendly and got me an appointment promptly. Brittany did an awesome job achieving the haircut I wanted (I brought a few pictures in) and she used great products on my hair leaving me feeling refreshed and confident! I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone living in that Colorado area!

I typically cut and color my own hair but need some expert help to get black box color out of my hair. Brittany handled this problem with ease and came out with a great natural looking color. She also gave me great types and recommended shampoos I should try. Im definitely done with the days of doing my own hair and will be returning to Altitude Salon from now on. Great atmosphere and great stylists.

I also found Brittany's ad on Craigslist this week and gave Altitude a try this evening. I'm usually nervous and skeptical about going to a new colorist, but the highlights and cut that Brittany did were even better than the services I'd pay closer to $200 for at my old salon. The whole process even took an hour less than usual. She was also really cool about booking me for a 6pm appointment since that was the only time I could make it this week. I'm now converted and plan on visiting Brittany the again next time I need my hair done!

as of recently, money has been an issue due to my music career and lifestyle. I needed a new hair style for a photoshoot that I am in for my new CD cover but did not want to pay the amount a regular stylist would charge. I came in and got a great hair cut and a sweet dye job as well. Photoshoot went well, especially because my new Hawk hair do just stands out. loved it. thank you. Photos to follow.

If you want a Great Clips haircut at a salon price then this is the place for you! Actually, I think Great Clips treats their customers with more courtesy and respect then this place. The stylist was rude: she complained the entire time about her previous client not showing up, rushed through my haircut and made it clear that she did not want to be there. The result was an awful haircut and a bad experience. The cut was uneven in places, too short in others, and have no idea what the heck she did to the back. It was the kind of haircut you have to go home and try to salvage yourself. No way would I ever go back there!

I just got my hair done at Altitude Salon by Brittany Amos, this was my first time at the salon and having my hair done by Brittany. The atomosphere of the salon is very casual and fun! I got red low lights and carmel hightlights throughout my hair and the colors came out exactly the way I described them and wanted them. The compliments keep rolling in! I have crazy thick hair and Brittany knew exactly what to do to make the cut and style managble for me which is a plus because I don't always like spending hours doing my hair! I would recomend Altitude Salon and Brittany Amos to anyone who want a professional stylist in a great atmosphere!

Meaghan has been the first to really "get it right" with my naturally curly hair. Her experience matched with her artistic flair brings fantastic results. The whole experience has been a positive one for me. After spending years trying many different products and styles to "manage the curls", I have finally found someone who really knows what to do. I've had long hair for several years, but Meaghan just recently did a short cut for me (which is risky when you have naturally curly hair). I love it and have received many compliments. I highly recommend a visit to this outstanding salon!

Meaghan has the inside track on what will look great on you and the experience to back it up. I have been getting my hair highlighted for a few years and have spent time and money looking for someone who can do a great job getting down to the root and using the best color to compliment my skin tone. Meaghan gets it right every time! I can acutally make it 8 weeks between appointments, before I had to go every 6. The prices are much more reasonable and her hair cuts are awesome! Trust her you will not be disappointed!

This salon is brilliant! My sister and I went to get our hair cut while donating to locks of love, which this place sends the hair in for you and often by the sounds of it. Brittany Amos did an amazing job for both of us. Everyone I have seen since then has complimented on my cute cut! The salon is hip and fun with fun and entertaining people there. I have to say Meaghn at Altitude salon is not only a great hairstylist but also a great person. I really enjoy her company and her scalp massage is to die for. My haircuts always comes out first rate, and since my very first visit Meaghn was able to give me great suggestions on styling my hair, which have earned me many compliments. I love this place. I was taking my dog to the groomers when I noticed a salon in the same building. I decided to check out their prices. I am so glad i did because my hair looks great and it was resonably priced. I got my hair highlighted and cut by Brittany ( hope i spelled that right). She listened to what I had to say and gave me what I asked for with a dash of her salt and pepper. I am so glad I took this chance. The place is great because it is newly renovated with a hip vibe and friendly staff. I will return.

and that is the truth. I am a man that got lost looking for a chinese restaurant and stumbled in to ask for directions. I was greeted promptly and before you know it, my mop of a hair is gone. I even have red highlights in my hair now. Prolly the best hair cut I've gotten in a very long time and it was alot cheaper than I expected to pay.

I can't praise Altitude Salon enough! As a blonde, I have struggled to find a stylist who creates the right balance of highlights, while making sure my natural color still shines through. Many times I have walked out of expensive and reputable salons with orange, gray, or even purple color. When Meaghan and Altitude Salon moved into my neighborhood, I booked an appointment on a whim and crossed my fingers...After one visit, I knew my hair prayers had been answered. I have been back several times since. Meaghan always does a fantastic job on my highlights. She works quickly, is friendly and personable, and the color always comes out looking great. I have very fine hair and Meaghan somehow manages to send me out with "Victoria's Secret" hair every time. Her cuts are awesome, and she is really good about explaining how to achieve the same results are home. She also does great men's cuts. My boyfriend gets his hair cut while my color processes. If you are looking for a laid-back salon where the stylist is fun and the results are unmatched, I would highly recommend Altitude Salon!

Going to a hair salon should be just like going to your friend's house for a visit (and even to enjoy a glass of wine). The atmosphere that Meaghan has created at Altitude Hair Salon is just that (including the wine)! The salon brings class and an upscale feel to the good ole neighborhood that you grew up in. Meaghan's skill and ability to make 'subtle' suggestions is only topped by a personality that makes you instantly a friend. And, you'll love the salon even more when you find out about its history and the drive that one woman had to create such a great space. Check it out!

Meaghan has been cutting my hair for several years. I travel for a living and on occasion I have to "cheat" on her and get it cut on the road. I'm not a metro-sexual by any means, but when I can tell I got a bad cut, you know it's bad. Of course, Meaghan can tell right away and fixes me up. She's a tall women, and made a point of installing her sinks higher than normal so that her back won't hurt while she gives a scalp massage. It was worth the effort to put the tubs in a better position for her.
Meaghan is an incredible person. Her drive for the best look for her clients is only topped by her passion for life. I challenge anyone to walk out of her salon and not be in a better mood. She's better than Prozac!

I've searched for the "perfect" hair person since 1995! What a journey to say the least!
I found Meaghan over a year ago and can't be more pleased. Prior to finding her, I flew back to DC 3X/year to have my hair fixed. Each time I'd "find" someone here in the Denver area (and I'll drive an hour or more if they're good), I'd have to book a plane ticket just to have my person back east fix the mess!!!

I can't recommend Altitude salon, and more specifically Meaghan, enough! She's professional, creative, and knows how to create for the client!

What a keeper!!!

Meaghan has been cutting my hair for years and she's awesome and always fun to chat with. She gives a great scalp massage and a professional cut. She is the only one that can take some of the gray out of my hair without a perm and in a way that's completely natural looking. Altitude Salon is a cool place with a relaxed casual atmosphere that's fun, has great music (with a great stereo system), and there's plenty of parking space . The salon has a very hip/cool style to it that should appear to both genders; not one of those pink woman's only salons. Definitely two thumbs up for Meaghan and Altitude Salon.

I just went to Meaghan for a cut and color and this is the BEST haircut I've ever had!! I showed her a photo of what I wanted and walked out with the exact haircut - how often does that happen? She has been cutting my hair for a few years and I am constantly changing my style but not matter how I want to wear it she does a great job. The proof is that after washing myself it still looks the same and even after 3 weeks it is easy to style with no 'surprises' - a true test of a great haircut. I highly recommend Meaghan to anyone. Her pricing is great as well!

Meaghan has been cutting and coloring my thick short hair for 2 years now and unless she moves far far away, I will never stop trusting her with my hair. From the very first time she worked on my hair, I felt hair confidence exuding from her every pore; which helped me feel immediately relaxed. She just KNOWS hair. Period. She's been doing it for a while now and well, she's very good at what she does. She was able to make sense of what my hair needed and what I wanted to see, even if they were two different things, to find just the right color to not only cover my gray roots, but also highlight my complexion, eyes, face, etc. I've been using various red tones in my hair, and she suggested a blend of red and brown color that fit me perfectly. I even tried low lights for the first time with her and love them! Meaghan is warm and friendly, creative, confident and very aware of what works and what doesn't. If you have ever felt that your stylist/colorist did not understand you or didn't care, please go see Meaghan at Altitude in Wheat Ridge. It's very easy to find, parking is abundant, and you don't have to deal with the downtown drivers/parkers/and annoyances of being in the city. At 40 (having moved many times and colored my hair since age 20); I've finally found the stylist/colorist for me. She is the BEST!

Aside from Meghan's artistic talent, her energy and entheusiasm keep you coming back for more. Meghan has a knack for designing the best hairstyle to compliment your features and lifestyle. I was apprehensive about going to a new stylist but knew that I?d needed to. When I first pulled up to the salon, I was not at all impressed. However, when I walked in, I thought I was in another world! The decor is FABULOUS, purple walls, art scattered on walls, comfortable waiting area and I was offered a glass of wine, ROCK ON!

Meaghan was nice and approachable. She actually spent time with me to discuss what I didn't like about my "modern mullet fobby (fresh off the boat) hot mess" and what I?d hope to achieve with my stick straight hair. Meaghan worked her magic and through the snipping we kept a friendly conversation. The results: FABULOUSITY! She actually did what I want/envisioned (maybe she's a mind reader).

It's been almost 6 years since I've had a great haircut, so this is great! I've been in a funk all week (mostly due to hair trauma), and after a short visit, I?m on cloud 9!

I strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great style. She is a true artist. She's also great with Asian hair (very few are) and she even cut my husbands! He looks amazing!
