Dave's Ultimate Automotive

Dave's provided me excellent service. They spoke through my car problems with me and made sure I understood exactly what was needed and what would wait. All of the employees have been very friendly and they even suggested on their own that they would provide me with a rental if repairs took more than the same day. I'm probably like most when I say I'm weary of auto repair places in general, but I trust Dave's.

I've taken my 2001 VW in for repairs and oil changes. I've been more than pleased every time. I actually have a good feeling about getting my car repaired there. My friend recommended them to me and I will do the same to my friends and family.

Wow! What awesome service. I have never been disappointed with any service done on my 2001 F150. The service has kept her running for 160k + miles. I hand out business cards and recommend my family, co-workers and anyone else to Dave's for any service need. My niece brought in her car and received every bit of the service that I told her she would get. I have never dealt with an automotive shop that is more honest and willing to talk you through what's going on with your vehicle. They are not pushy and don't force unneeded service. As long as there is Dave's Ultimate Automotive, I am a customer.

I am somewhat new to Austin. I took my car to a dealer and was dissatisfied w/ the information I recieved about my car. I stumbled upon Daves and they took me dynamicly through every step of my service. I believe they went above and beyond w/ customer service and would reccomend them to anyone. I felt no pressure for alternate repairs and felt every option was was explored and explained. If you need honest repairs by knowledgeable and consciencious people, this is the place to go! Thx M

I recently went to Dave?s north location because I was in the area and needed some repairs right away. They got me right in and I was impressed by how quick they were, along with their professionalism and honesty. Same thing happened again just recently so I took my car to their south location since I live closer and once again, these guys exceeded my expectations. I?ve had some repairs done by the dealership but have gotten fed up over how much they charge so I delayed getting a pretty major belt replaced until I could find the right place. I?m soo glad I found Dave?s Ultimate Automotive.. they charged much less than the dealership would have and now that I am certain that both shops do an exceptional job, it gives me peace of mind knowing that if I have problems again, I?ll be able to take it to either location! Thank you Dave?s Ultimate Automotive!!

A friend of mine recommended Dave's on South Lamar as a good place to have auto work done. Ironically, the next day my Trailblazer started making a clicking sound when I turned it on. I called Dave's and they said they could take me right away. I went ahead and made an appointment for the next morning and took it in. The staff was friendly and honest, and even though I'm a guy that knows NOTHING about cars, they were open and not condescending as some mechanics can be.

Since I'm planning a cross country road trip I had them do a full look over on my car, which took pretty much all day. When they called me to tell me the car was ready turns out I just needed a new battery. They could have GOUGED me and it was so cheap I felt like I owed them more. They even have a FREE shuttle service that took me home and then picked me up later.

I'm so impressed by Dave's I'll be telling all my friends to go there.

Highly recommended. I only came in for an inspection, but was so pleased with the place that I already made my next appointment for some more extensive work on the car. Everything was explained in a way even I could understand. If you need a reputable, professional and friendly service in South Austin, this is the place. Thanks guys!

Loved the service. Very nice and friendly. Quick and good. I was recommended by a friend and tried out. It was everything that they described, and would definetly pass on the recommendation to anyone I know.

We went in to patch a tire and witnessed the rudest customer possible. The customer was completely out of line and the staff treated the situation with such tact and professionalism I was shocked. The staff was so friendly right when we walked in until we left and answered any and all questions we had. I really didn't feel like I do when I go to other automotive shops because of the excellent staff. They apologized again and again about the customer which, by no means, was their fault. We would have gladly paid the nominal price to patch the tire but they kindly waived the fee. We scheduled an oil change for the future. Definitely going back!!! Great staff, and they're local.......beats any national corporation!! By the way, they have a computer to use while you wait.

I have known Dave for years and have watched him grow his business with a very simple business philosiphy. He seems to really care for his customers not just thier cars. I have used him for over 15 years and I send my friends, employees and family to him all the time! I just have a tremendous amount of trust and confidence with all of his employees and certified mechanics that anyone could hope for in an auto repair shop. The best part about it in my opinion is that the place is ALWAYS CLEAN over there! As a very busy small business owner here in Austin, I like the email reminders that I get from Dave's to tell me to just "go change my oil" or "rotate my tires". Time just gets away from me and they keep me on track for the best possible life for MY car. I really appreciate service like that since cars aren't cheap anymore and you really have to keep up with the maintenance for them to last a long time!

I was extremely excited to see a Dave's Ultimate Automotive open in south Austin. I live south, but for years I've been making the trip up north to the original location. Why? Because, without fail, I always received straightforward and honest advice and the best quality care and service I've ever experienced. Now, that there's a Dave's south, it's the best of both worlds. Top notch service and a convenient location. Speaking of convenience, Dave's also has a shuttle service and offers discounts for scheduling in advance on its Web site. Dave's puts customer service and quality care first. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I've lived south of the river & worked downtown for 10 years & the entire time, I've driven to Dave's shop on Howard Lane. An honest mechanic is hard to find & when you do, you'll drive to North Austin. My co-workers go to Dave's shop for their maintenance, from my recommendations, it's worth it. If a repair isn't immediately necessary, they'll tell you what needs to get done now & what can wait. Dave's shop has kept my '96 Pathfinder running smoothly for over 145,000 miles & I plan to go another 100K. With Dave's help, I won't be a problem! Schedule work in advance online, AWESOME! Coupons online, BONUS! I can't say enough about these guys, THEY ARE FAMILY THAT WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT. Go you'll see first hand & recommend them to others as well.

I've been taking my car's to Dave Ultimate Automotive up north for nearly 10 years now. I own older cars and Dave always shoots straight telling what needs to be addressed and what can wait. He always takes the time to discuss recommended repairs so even the layman can understand the issue. Dave has also added many additional services like the AutoCare Credit Card that I found helpful when I needed some extensive work done on one of my cars.

I have been using Dave's Ultimate at its North location for years and I was very excited to see the S. Congress location open. I had my truck serviced there last week and was very pleased to find the same great treatment I have received at the North location has transferred to the South location as well. I love the fact they can work on all of my cars and I don't have to go back to the dealer and pay their huge service prices. Dave's is a good honest shop and I never feel like I am being cheated or having unnecessary repairs done. They also have shuttle service which has come in very handy when I don't have time to wait.

I've had my cars serviced at Dave's north location for more than 10 years. I moved to southwest Austin 5 years ago but have continued going to Dave's on Howard Lane. I can't imagine going anywhere else because I trust Dave with my cars. They offer full repair services and preventive maintenance. If something needs fixing, they fix it. If it doesn't, they leave it alone or let you know when something should be addressed in the future. I'm glad Dave has opened a south Austin location and am happy to recommend Dave's !

I know little about the mechanical aspects of automobiles and I typically do not like having my car serviced because I feel like I am being taken advantage of and I have no knowledge to dispute the never ending recommendations posed by technicians. The local dealer charges me $200+ for an oil change and visual inspection of my European vehicle and I have to schedule the service weeks in advance. I took my vehicle to Dave's new south location last week and I received the same service for a fraction of the price.

The employees were very friendly, the facility was spotless and the location is conducive to dropping off your vehicle at Dave's and then walking to one of many nearby restaurants to grab a bite to eat while your car is being worked on. It was the first time in a long while that I left an automobile service shop feeling satisfied.
