Pros: great sushi

Cons: sometimes they automatically add tip (i had party of five)

I have been here once, it was pretty good. I think the portions were a little small for the price. But the food was great. Service was good, food came out pretty quickly.

Akashi is our new fave sushi restaurant in the area. The sushi never fails to satisfy and the you can't beat the prices. Try the tuna jaw appetizer...you won't be disappointed!!

They food is fantastic and cheap. Also they are usually pretty fast even at lunch when they are super busy. The sushi chef's are super nice and we love sitting at the sushi bar and chatting with them.\r

Pros: Cheap and Fast, Excellent Sushi!

Cons: Closed Sundays, Strange Location

.

I LOVE AKASHI! Sushi is buy 1 get the 2nd 1/2 off. The sushi menu is pages long. the service is quicker than most sushi places. If you're like me and not a big fan of raw fish--there's plenty of options for you too! I must try. Nice crowd at lunch, but no wait. Dinner can be very pricey--so lunch time is recommended.

Pros: Outstanding food, service, and amazingly cheap price

Cons: Location in run down strip mall, so-so decor

Rolls were marginal, nigiri was just okay. Careful when ordering the "Crab" nigiri; they don't tell you its actually the artificial stuff and has all the appeal of fish flavored spaghetti. Yikes.

My wife and I eat at Akashi easy three nights a week, just discovered it on Citysearch and were shocked at the low number of reviews and criticisms! They have taken us away from Kanki all together - we just tried Shiki down the road.

This place has so much potential, but I give them a low rating for low-potency wasabi (just isn't as hot as it is elsewhere) and the dipping sauce (teriyaki?) that's watered down. Service is slower than it should be.

Claims to hold half off sushi, but 50% off=30% off the very small, very warm sushi roles. 30% is close to 50% isnt it? Id rather pay full price and enjoy the meal
