"This is one of those places that you just want to keep coming back to, again and again. The owner is "hands on" and the greatest guy, but oh-my-heavens, the food... the food is amazing.

They start with the freshest, mostly organic ingredients and combine them so that you actually think to yourself, "how-do-they-make-this-that-good?!!"

More delicious and fresher than any Mediterranean spot I know in LA (and believe me, I know just about them all), I prayed for a Mediterranean place on 3rd, and then gratefully watched them open last year. The kinks got worked out early, and now it's pure-purfection!

Everything on the menu is oh-so-good and healthy too, but these are my vegetarian favorites: the lentil soup, the hummus and falafel salad, the greek salad, the kafta wrap, the grilled shrimp salad...seriously, I could name the whole menu. I've been on a vege high; when I get into meat again, I'll update.

The portions are generous, the prices are economical, and the food is so fresh and light that you feel like you've done-your-body-good, especially in time for summer.

They're open till 7pm right now, and will stay open later as the summer arrives. There are tables outside, the furniture is comfortable, the environment is tasteful, and parking is easy. I do a lot of take-out because of my work, but they also deliver.

Next time you're hungry, make this the place to try! It will quickly become your new-favorite-place on 3rd! (yes, even over Joan's and Toast!)

Pros: fresh, delicious, healthy, delicious, economical, delicious

Cons: I've yet to find one.

I live a block away from this place -- and I come here three or four times a week. And it is absolutely wonderful. You're treated exceptionally well, and the food is superb, especially if health is one of your standards.

Everything is local and organic, to the degree they can do it, and you can taste it. I like the chicken kebab. The chicken is juicy and the portion is good. The vegetables have that just-come-out-of-the-ground feeling that goes through your body and gives you the sense you've done well for yourself. (Also check out the rice bowls--both vegetarian and with chicken or shrimp: they throw in cranberries, chick peas, and a range of other delectable, healthy goodies.)

When you think about, there aren't that many great healthy spots in LA. And most of them are quite expensive, frequently gimmicky, and take forever. This is first and foremost a great, careful-fast-food Mediterranean restaurant. It's just healthiness is a major part of what they do. I taste the future.

Pros: Super healthy and super good; can eat there fast or can linger

Cons: So far, so good

We went to Natura on a quiet Sunday afternoon after waiting months for it to open. It was worth the wait. The food is fresh, delicious and inventive. Lots of vegetarian options and plenty for the meat eaters as well. Mostly salads and wraps/panninis, with a couple of soups and shish kebab thrown in for good measure. It's simple yet tasty, very reasonably priced and off to a great start. We'll definitely be back.
