Fun but never changes

by Mindy W. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 15

It's like Groundhog Day every night at Ernie Biggs. The same drunk people requesting the same songs. If you go once or twice a year, it maintains some novelty, but definitely not an every weekend place.

Crappy parking

by Tiffany G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,358

Ernie Biggs Dueling Piano Bar is a very fun and exciting bar to attent... However the parking is horrible. I guess this is what you get for attending a semi classy bar next to America's pub.

We have been here several times now and each time it is different as to how the piano players perform. The constant is the bar tenders and servers - they are great.

No consistent show

by Anonymous

It seems like there are always different players and they don't appear to even know each other - very individual show - maybe that is what a dueling piano bar is supposed to be, but it was hard to see any consistency where they were going last night.

Loved It

by lawsongirl

I loved this place. I had the most fun here. I talk about with my friends, and we created great memories here. The enviroment was awesome. There was not anybody there that was not having a great time, The bartenders were great. I don't think i had to wait for a drink on a crowded saturday night. And the guys at the pianos were fantatastic!

Pros: Great enviroment

Cons: parking

Not the best time, 2nd rate piano bar

by kcroyal1

I went to Ernie Biggs expecting a great show. I was sadly disappointed. I am from Baltimore and they have a great piano bar up there. I actually saw a couple of player working at Ernie Biggs that used to play up there??It seems that they are stealing or retreading their talent from other piano bars, rather than hiring and training their own. The show was ok, but the sound and the lighting is terrible. The crowd was disengaged from the show and the service was non existent. It took forever to get a drink and the servers were not very helpful. Every time I go here it seems that they add something else to their show as to compete with the other piano bar in KC. Not original. If your looking for a great piano bar head downtown and stay away from Westport.

Pros: crowded

Cons: bad entertainment in a bad location
