First time there, was blown away! Excellent taste, great recommendations by the staff, fast but not too fast great service, atmosphere can be romantic or casual, complimentary crispy flatbread with sauces to start the meal (excellent stuff!), clean place, friendly staff, medium spiced foods were just right, awesome flavor. Highly recommended.

The vegetarian options were very limited. However, I really enjoyed my experience here. The samosas were delicious and mouth watering. I really recommend this place to those who want to try Indian cuisine, especially, those who are trying it for the first time.

I've gone here a few times trying to find a new Indian favorite after moving here from Atlanta (go to Bhojanic in ATL!!!!). It has a nicer ambience than other Indian places, white tableclothes, the tables aren't too close. I wish the thali platter could be customized a little. But the lamb curries are wonderful! And so are the samosas.

The Food is Yummy! Love the Buffet, it changes daily. Service is Good. Well, waiters are sort of pleasant. It's worth the experience if you have never had Indian Cuisine. It is still very tasty and a great value. Very nice setting and music in the background to totally set the mood.

Friendly waiters, great ambiance, BEST INDIAN FOOD IN GREATER NASHVILLE(and I've tried a lot of places). Very reasonable and delicious lunch and dinner specials, too.You can order anything on the menu, and you won't be disappointed. I enjoy starting the meal with vegetable samosas. They're not to heavy and are served with 3 delicious sauces (tamarind is my personal favorite). The mango lassis are fantastic, Well, enough said.I would recommend this restaurant for Nashvillers who want to experience a different part of the city. highly recommend it to others

I had a good experience on Friday, 7/18/08. I attended the dinner with my clients. The food was good and tasteful. They have a great selection of various dishes, and your choice of "spiciness"!The reason why I rated the restaurant excellent, is because I have experienced better as far as indian food and atmosphere are concerned. Great taste (authentic), clean, quick service and wonderful customer service.

i have been to this place twice with a group of friends (10+ people) and enjoyed both experiences there. The food was fantastic, this is the only time I eat lamb, especially the lamb & spinach dish, love it! I have been to quite a few Indian restaurants but have to say this one is my favorite. Service is friendly and fast. Because we are always such a large group, we always preorder and it works out perfect. I would recommend this place in a first.

I would say this is a very good restaurant with excellent authentic food. I just loved everything they served. I am planning to go here again with a group of friends. The food is wonderful, especially at their lunch buffet (which is also inexpensive) The naan is fluffy and delicious, and the variety of food (paneer, dal, curry, and dessert) is exceptional. Their food is the best blend of spices my tastebuds have ever encountered and I would definetly recommend going here.

Pros: Parking, its just behind the restaurant, convenient to other great spots, attentive waiting

.

This is one of the best places for North Indian food in Nashville, the restaurant is spacious, with a very good and impressive spread. They have fresh kabab's and tikka's from the Tandoor, unlike other restaurants who serve the standard red color chicken tikka. The service is also very good. The buffet is definitely the best in town.

Everything I've had here is fresh and flvaorful. I especially like their saag (spinach) dishes and their tandoori shrimp. Chicken tikka masala is good too.The food looked very appetizing and delicious since it came on a variety of fancy plates. We ended our great experience by having Gulab Jamun (dessert) recommended by the waiter. I thanked my friend who recommended me this restaurant and will certainly recommend it to others

My father-in-law recommended this restaurant after I had arrived in the city for the summer. I was craving aloo gobi and roti, but found another dish that tickled my fancy; chicken vindaloo. To warn anyone out there that has not had this dish, its hot, very hot. However, it is hot in manner that is not pure pepper or temperature. The spices which season this dish are subtle but combine to make a powerful statement. It was wonderful. I cooled my palate down with a nice mango lassi. I have been back twice and have found the food to be always consistent.

This is a really nice place for lunch. The buffet changes periodically, but has some of the usual Indian dishes daily. the staff is courteous, the place is clean, spacious with large windows and a nice place to have lunch. I come here frequesntly and always have a good meal.

It's pretty hard to make Indian food bad but they have done it and continue to. I've tried it several times - a few times just out of politeness to friends but I can't do it anymore. It's like the KFC of Indian food.

Pros: What difference does good service and good price mean if the food is bad??

Cons: Sorry, just really bad food. Get a TV dinner instead.

Went to this place on Saturday night. Someone suggested it. What can I say.... We have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the USA and this has to be one of the worst. I am a lover of Chicken Tikka Masala. They had used far too much food coloring (very red) which is not needed. Also, the chicken had a funny aftertaste. The only saving grace was that the Garlic Naan Bread was ok and so was the Pakoras. I ate 2 pieces of the chicken and dipped some of the bread in the sauce and then sent it away. The girl who was our server was a right misery guts and her comment was "oh you didn't eat much did you". I told her I didn't like it and she went "oh I'm sorry"... Also, just to add my husband left all of his meal too. So I think we should just stick to where we know the food is good. This place isn't a patch on the Sitar.

One of the first times I went I told the waiter I had some questions about the menu and he said "Ask me a thousand questions sir, I will answer them all correctly." I love this place. These are wonderful people. The buffet is the freshest most well kept of any kind of buffet I have ever been to. Everything I try I love. The sag the tandoori, the curry, the naan, the pakora, it's all wonderful. A wonderfully rich eating experience. The best rice pudding I've ever tasted. The quality is extremely consistant. Never a bad meal here.

Cuisine of India offers a medium-sized lunch buffet that's a pretty good deal for those on a budget, and it always includes at least one vegetarian dish. This is a good place to those new to Indian cuisine who aren't ready to be adventurous with their food choices, as most of the dishes are not too spicy or unusual.

This is by far THE BEST Indian food in Nashville, and I have eaten at all of the Indian restaurants in Nashville, numerous times each.

I always go back to Cuisine of India, and am never disappointed. Food is always fresh and has a rich and full flavor. The prices are right, and the staff is friendly and very attentive to the customer. One true test...my water is never empty.

I prefer to order from the menu, but the buffet is excellent, awesome price. Very vegetarian friendly (as most Indian restaurants are).

I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
