Mellow Massage Therapy Ctr

We live in Seattle and wanted to give ourselves a day of special treats in Philadelphia when we visited our hometown to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. So my wife and I went to Mellow Massage for a couples massage. It was one most calming, comfortable and pleasurable hours I have ever spent. The ambience was relaxing, and we were in great hands with therapists Shannon and Marissa. Shannon was my therapist, and she worked through all my problem areas with the perfect amount of pressure. After the massage, my body felt so much better and my mind was in a harmonious place. My regret is that I live 3,000 miles away and cannot return regularly. When I do travel to Philadelphia, however, Mellow Massage always will be part of my itinerary.

A lovely time with Marissa and Susan. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a couple's massage together. The staff is gracious and well versed in delivering a soothing, relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend trying them out if you find yourself in East Falls (though make sure to make reservations).

After several months of working extremely hard I decided to get a massage to help relieve all the obvious tension that my body had. I made an appointment with Juanita and upon my arrival she was welcoming, prompt and although it was the first appointment, I didn't have to wait to begin the service. She was very sociable, but not overly talkative. I felt very comfortable, which can sometimes be difficult when you are naked in the presence of a stranger. Her technique was great and she found the perfect amount of pressure for my achy tissues. It was great and to top it off I got a discount for my birthday, but that also applies to the first visit. I will definitely be back.

What a great experience. One week after a c-section and the delivery of my first baby, Merissa was ready to offer a perfect-match massage for the state of my body. She was highly conscious of my scar and hesitant to put extra pressure there, so she arranged me in a position that worked especially for me. Never had a massage on my side that was just as effective, and her pressure level was exactly perfect. Turned out I was okay on my stomach after all, and she was patient while I experimented and found the perfect position. She was gentle, firm, and managed to find all the knots -- kneading them out like a pro, and avoiding pain. Good music, warm environment. Totally relaxing and positive experience. I recommend Mellow Massage and Merissa highly.

I have been going to Mellow for over a year now. I was lucky enough to stumble upon it one day when I was in desperate need of a massage. Needless to say, I've never left! It is extremely clean, quiet, and has a great ambiance. I've been to several therapists, and never had anything less than an excellent experience. Recently, I've been seeing Merissa, and I can't begin to describe how amazing she is! Definitely the best massages i've ever had!

I bought a groupon last year for Mellow and have now been twice. Both visits were positive. I've been very happy with what I received for the price. Mellow has very friendly staff, a small and warm environment and is clean and relaxing.

If you are not familiar with East Falls, it can be a little confusing to find the center but a GPS comes in handy. Parking is free and the building (old warehouse?) where Mellow and several other businesses are located is pretty cool.

My first massage in June was good. My second massage today (Oct) was great - with many thanks to Victoria! The athletic store next to Mellow was holding some type of competition, with runners everywhere and music blasting, but the massage room in Mellow was still quiet and serene.

I have had a great experience with everyone I worked with so far: Shannon, Damon, Vanessa, and...oh shucks, was it Amanda? Well, my point is, they've all been wonderful. And I am discriminating...

I'm middle aged, very athletic, and I have arthritis and stenosis in my spine. Massage has great theraputic benefits: a quality massage gets me out of pain and I heal much faster.

The therapists listen when I make requests and some have generously worked over my alloted time when needed and when possible. All of the therapists I've worked with seem to love what they do...no negative energy here!

We bought Groupons for massages at Mellow Massage, and it was more than worth it! Shannon was excellent. I hold a lot of stress in my neck and shoulders, and she used just the right amount of pressure to make me feel great. I also have arthritis in my hands and fingers, and my hands don't feel as sore as usual right now. I just wish they were closer to New Jersey!

Stepping into Mellow Massage is calming in itself. The staff is helpful, and the massage I received was I had a deep tissue massage professional performed by Damon which left me feeling relaxed--I could feel the blood flowing to those muscles that had been sore and stiff. Well worth every cent.

This place is phenomenal! From the moment you walk in the door, there's a sense of calm that surrounds you. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. And that Victoria worked out all the knots out of my back! I'm happy that I was able to explore this place with a groupon but I would gladly pay full price for their services. I'm already looking forward to my next massage there.

Everyone at Mellow is so welcoming and they make you feel at ease. This is my second time going to Mellow for a massage with Shannon. She is wonderful and finds all of my problem spots, including many I didn't even know I had! She always asks if I'm having any trouble with any particular areas and whether I want her to work on those areas or if I would prefer she avoid them altogether. In addition to all of these wonderful things, Mellow is also very reasonably priced. You can't beat it.

I had never had a professional massage and was intimidated by the whole process. Ellen was great - she put me at ease right away as she asked what I was and wasn't comfortable with. She even checked in throughout the massage to make sure I could handle it. She was extremely professional and courteous, but boy could she work my muscles! I felt so relaxed and serene, I didn't want the hour to end. I will definitely be back...

The atmosphere is very inviting and warm. You feel like you've stepped into serenity. The staff is friendly. My therapist was GREAT! She even offers suggestions on how to keep the feeling going after you leave. I felt very energized and rejuvanated (thanks Vanessa!). I will definitely go back and am looking to trying a different massage technique.

I had never dealt with a more accommodating and helpful person when scheduling a massage appointment (thanks Gerrae!), been greeted by a friendlier / more down-to-earth staff upon arrival, had the problematic areas in my body better addressed in 60 minutes, and walked out of a massage feeling lighter and more rejuvenated than after today's visit to Mellow (thanks Ruben!). I went with my mother and she likewise had only praises to sing about her massage with Victoria.

We will most definitely be back. :)

Had a one hour massage and foot scrub with Victoria and was so pleased. It was my first time there and I was greeted immediately upon entering, asked if I wanted a drink and got to choose my aromatherapy scent. The massage room was quiet, nicely lit and very cozy.

Victoria was very attentive, asked about my medical issues and planned a massage to help with my ongoing muscular issues. She was wonderful and the foot scrub at the end was icing on the cake!

I dont usually write reviews online, but I really feel like everyone needs to know about this place. They made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in, actually from the moment I first called to book my appointment. She even gave me good detailed directions to follow to get there (it would have been a little tricky getting there otherwise.) I have had a few massages before but this one at Mellow blew them all away. Shannon is amazing. I felt like I was high when we finished! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a good deep tissue massage- trigger points be damned! She found every one! Every single one!! amazing :)

Just came from a massage with Victoria and it was so wonderful - she's really strong and worked hard on the problem areas in my shoulders. I've been other places where I didn't feel they were applying enough pressure and you don't feel like you're getting much. Not the case at Mellow - it's a great massage with nice people in a relaxing atmosphere. I'm hooked!

Maliam did a very thorough job of getting all the knots worked out with just the right amount of pressure. I've had many massages over the last 40 years and this one is near the top of the list. It makes me not want to wait so long for the next one.

I have had 2 thai massages from Vanessa, her technique is great and continues to evolve. After this massage your muscles and joints feel great, but it tunes you up on a more subtle energetic level too. AND, it was so fun, i couldnt stop myself from saying "wheeee!" at several points during the massage. It's like doing an intense yoga class and getting traction on spine and extremities, but you do no work. Highly recommend!

From my very first massage, I've never concidered going elsewhere. My first visit with Laura was for an achy shoulder and neck. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after my very first visit. Her hands are magic! I continue to go back approx twice a month, as I always leave feeling completely relaxed and just overall wonderful! The rates are so affordable and the hours are accomodating to practically any schedule.
The atmosphere is so warm and relaxing with heated cozy tables, personalized aromatheropy and tranquil sitar sounds.
My boyfriend, who had never had a massage before and was completely apprehensive at the thought of a stranger massaging him, left his first deep tissue massage completely surprised at how he relaxed he felt, almost instantly, and forgot where he was. He kept telling me how limber and relaxed his body felt for days afterwards and raved about it to anyone who would listen!!
I honestly have never felt better! My neck feels amazing and I look forward to my next massage as soon as I leave each appointment!
I highly recommend Mellow Massage to anyone and everyone! I also personally recommend Laura, as she is very knowlegeable, caring and makes you feel completely comfortable and relaxed, immidiately.

Absolutely the best massage I have ever gotten for the best price. I travel all over the place and I make sure to get a massage everywhere I go but this is by far the best. I paid for a 60 minute massage, and shannon worked on me for two hours because she knew i "needed it." I'm a runner and my legs and back get SO sore...she is amazing and I feel like a million bucks today!

Cat took care of my needs both physically and spiritually. She is truely skilled and I always leave feeling as if a weight has been lifted off me.
I also really enjoy the convenience of booking on-line. The service is quick and accurate.
Looking forward to my next appointment!!!

My boyfriend and I have been to Mellow twice now and both times were great. They were able to accomodate us together which made the experience better. After the massage they were very helpful with water waiting and tips of how to relieve my terrible headaches at home. They always offer good deals so it's best to be apart of their email list.

This was only my second visit to Mellow(not by choice, but we live out of state), but if I lived closer, I would make a regular weekly appointment for an hour or two!!! I feel so relaxed afterwards. The offices are beautiful and soothing. The staff is pleasant and totally professional and knowledgeable. Bravo to Mellow! A GOD send to the community and beyond!

The mood set by Mellow's environment from the beginning to the end was extremely calming and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, professional and thorough with their massage.

I've been to many centers and Mellow was a cut above the rest. A visit to Philly use to mean a cheese steak. Now it also includes a visit to Mellow Massage.

I visited Philly for Thanksgiving and heard that my wife and I could get an excellent massage together at this salon called Mellow. I am a recent convert to massage therapy and thought I was hooked before. Mellow has taken me to another level. My massage was incredible. They were able to accomodate my wife and I in the same room (which they couldn't in Ohio) and give us both great massages. The Mellow staff was excellent too. Very professional. We got to meet the owner of the salon. Incredible young woman entreprenuer who is all about business and customer service. I was thoroughly impressed. My wife and I will be back every time we are in Philly.

After traveling back and forth out of state to Philladelphia for my job, I sought out a Massage Center to relieve the tension that had built up in my neck and hands. Mellow Massage was just the place I was looking for, especially since they were able to accommodate my need to have an appointment on Sunday. Therapist focus strictly on massage and body work. My therapist Natasha was excellent and the owner greeted me just like I was part of the family. I would recommend this center to anyone.

Go to Mellow Massage!!! It is truly wonderful and the staff there is great! Kate is a wonderful masseuse and the ambiance in the rooms is great! I have been meaning to get back but have been so busy! I truly cant wait to get back there soon. Highly recommend this soothing place to anyone.

I have had a wonderful experience with Mellow Massage Therapy Center. It is so convenient for East Fallsers. Gerrae is excellent with correspondanace and scheduling. And, Laura gave me a wonderful deep tissue massage. I also enjoyed the sound of the water fountain and low lighting in the room.

The atmosphere was so serene at Mellow. As soon as I walked in the door I felt relaxed and at ease. This is the best massage I've had and at an unbelievable price. The therapist catered to what I needed and was very friendly and caring. I also enjoyed the inspirational wall hangings and fountain when you walk in... Check it out. Its right by Kelly Drive so you can even take a stroll by the river afterwards!

Knowledgeable staff, warm and soothing atmosphere. Mellow Massage is in a league of its own! This is the best massage therapy center in Philadelphia...hands down. The minute you step in the door all your stress and tension just melts away...the decor, the owner, the staff are all amazing and very personable. You can't go wrong with any member of this staff, I have been to this place multiple times and tried a different therapist on each visit to test their skills and they all ROCK. Mellow is a hidden jewel of East Falls, you have to stop by.

Well , I had my first hot stone massage and it was great. I saw it in a magazine and was afraid to try it. But
Karen was very friendly and understanding, also answered my thousand questions. and made me feel comfortable. The warmth of the stones along with the aromatherapy was very soothing. That along with the sound of the water fountain I, I have to say was very relaxing. Also I told her I am having trouble with my feet and she massaged them did some stretching exercises . I want to say thanks to staff at Mellow. I will definitely be back for another hour of relaxation.
