In a city where there are SO many great night spots, this place is a joke. A poorly placed candle right behind a chair literally burned a hole in my coat. When we very politely requested to speak to the manager, our waiter barked, "I already know he isn't going to do anything." When the manager did come to the table, he snarkily replied, "We can't put up 'beware of candle' signs everywhere." If he couldn't offer to reimburse me for the coat (which I believe he should have), he could have at least offered a sincere apology, not dismissive condescension. In this day and age, one would think managers would strive to deliver a positive experience for all patrons, even in the face of unfortunate events. A little professionalism can go a long way. Unfortunately, this place had none. Citysearch won't allow me to rate them with zero stars, so I am begrudgingly giving them one.

The Albert is a great place to find friendly faces, a fun atmosphere, and great food. The BBQ is the best I've ever had!

Pros: the people, the food

.

I love the menu, it's not too much... and offers just the right type of food to go with the atmosphere. The service doesn't bother me at all, and so far it's always been fine. Fun, nice and attentive. I'm not here cause I think it's a fine dining place, where I would hold the level of service alot higher, so for the envirmonment, the food, the people and the service have been right on par. I loev that it's a family place then morphs into an actual bar at night... and the weekend BBQ is to die for.

Pros: neighborhood feel, great people, lots of variety

.

Service can be spotty, and why oh why did they get rid of their old menu? The new menu is 1) way more expensive, and 2) they took out all the old bar favorites. This was a fun neighborhood pub that is trying to become a gastropub. Prediction: old menu returns in a few months when they figure out people don't want to pay $15 for a fish sandwich in a smoky bar.

i moved recently to inman park and have quickly scouted out what would be my new favorite neighborhood hangout and this is it! They say the menu is new, and they've done a great job. I had the fried green tomatos and 1/2 chicken, it was perfect! pair that with the chilled red wine my server suggested and my meal was great. My service was great, she kept me engaged and was totally attentive. besides the servers being dressed all in black which was a tad weird, and the lack of a special to tease me with everything was perfect. i very much will be back again!

Hamburgers are great, but I rarely go to a restaurant hoping to order one. I heard the Albert was launching a new menu, so I was excited to go and see what they had to offer. It was awesome! I ordered the Mahi mahi and my husband ordered the flank steak. Both were delicious! I will definitely go again. And for those of you who do enjoy a good restaurant burger....they are top notch. I suggest ordering sides. The green beans and the fried green tomatoes were also delicious. I never thought of the Albert as more than just a bar, but the new menu sets them apart! It's an Inman Park Gem!!!!

This place could be really good, but it just isn't.

1. The service is THE WORST. I mean it. It doesnt matter how many people are in the place. Unless you have a set of Double D's, good luck getting a drink from the big pirate looking bartender.
2. The place gets packed with people that live in the expensive run of the mill "loft" style apartments across the street. I'm sorry, but those people are lame, bigtime. If you like listening to "Me so Horny" on the jukebox at FULL VOLUME, you'll think it's great.
3. Park at your own risk. You'll get towed to a lot in Zone 3 if you're not careful.

Pros: Nice. Clean. Close to my house.

Cons: Slow service, lackadaisical staff, loud idiotic patrons and an even louder, more idiotic jukebox

.

it is like a bar I loved in Georgetown, true neighborhood feel. good drink selection and friendly local service
Especially like the place on Friday nights. I could make it a regular stop with just a little more upscale food items.

You can relax, chat it up, or grab a quick bite. That is what I love, the feel

Been here a few times over the past year and quite frankly I've given up hopes of this place ever becoming a mainstay of the Inman Park social scene. From bartenders who serve inept drinks to the inconsistant grub that comes out of the kitchen and the forgetful waitstaff that serves it. The Albert has been a total letdown and clearly an example of too many restaurants in Atlanta and not enough good talent to support them all. I shall not dine here again.

Pros: park there and go to Zaya

Cons: it's a total complete waste of space

One of my girlfriends takes me to The Albert for lunch today. Question how do you screw up a salad? It's a salad green leafy vegetation and assorted veggies! To top it off it took 35 minutes for our server to return with our order. 35 minutes for two salads in a bar that wasn't even busy! Not a very good first impression and they definitely will not get a second effort.

Pros: Not busy

Cons: Bad service which is hard to figure out since it was slow.

The Albert has really good mid to upscale bar food with great service and nice decor. Great place to watch some sports, drink some beer (good tap selection) and get a decent sandwich or gyro. it's about $1 or $2 above other bars in the area - but it's about right.... I'll go back...

Consistently great food - not at all your basic pub food. Get the fresh veggies as a side! I recommend the veggie burger and any daily special. Fun atmosphere, definitely worth a trip to Inman Park if it's out of your way.

The first time I went to The Albert, I wasn't impressed with the bartender. He wasn't friendly and probably should've been security instead of behind the bar. I left feeling indifferent, but the place itself is cool, it's a good location and there's a mixed crowd, not too pretentious. It really is a neighborhood bar.

Last week, I came in with some friends to eat and the food was really good. I got the wings and they were great. We shared the hummus as an appetizer and it was also great as well. My friend got the special and really liked it. I read in the other reviews that the food was bland. It looks like they have a chef in there now so it seems like they are improving their menu. All of my friends liked the food and everyone else in the restaurant seemed pleased.

As for the bar, I've been bored with the bar scene in Little 5 Points, so this was a nice change and I'll probably keep coming back.

Pros: Parking lot in the back. It's brand new and clean. Organic ingredients.

My husband I go to the Albert a lot since it's in the neighborhood. We've been on weekend nights, weekday nights, lunch and Sunday nights. The food is always good. It seems like they're still trying a few things out. The pasta salad is great even though they keep changing it slightly. I saw a few people give the burger a bad review. We've always thought the burger was good, and we're picky burger people. Mine was overcooked once, but other than that, it's consistently good. The crabcake sandwich is my favorite...BY FAR. It is spicy and delicious. The atmosphere is great, but it does get a little crowded after 9 on the weekends. The service is usually good. Last time we were there, the service got bad by the end of our visit. But, I think that was because the person was training. Friday night is not a good night to train new staff. All in all, this is a great spot to wind down after a long week. One more thing....PLEASE PUT PAULANER BACK ON DRAUGHT!!

I love this spot and I want to love the food. The owner is amazing! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The food however is bland and not very good. We have tried this place 3 different times and the food is consistently poor. The burgers are very dry and tasteless and the fries were cold. The desserts on the other hand are out of this world! Fun crowd great neighborhood spot; please do something about the food!

Since this new restaurant opened I go almost daily. I like the atmosphere and the neighborhood. Everybody seems to enjoy being there no matter what time of day. It's a place you can go to alone and make new friends or go with a group and have fun.

I live close by and love that I can go grab some food and a beer (or two) in the afternoon. WIFi access is a huge plus so that I can go work outside my office for a break. There is no pressure from the staff if you wanna hang-out with your laptop for a while. Food is good, better-than-average-bar food with a couple surprises. Really chill vibe til about midnight when things get a little more, ...."bar'ish". I like that it's clean but not corporate. Best Bloody Mary's on the weekends.

This is my favorite new neighborhood bar in Inman Park. I love going here to grab a beer and watch a game on the flat screen tvs around the bar. They have the best wings and dessert around the area and I have to recommend the portabella sandwhich! They have great parking here too!

locally flavored organic grub and full bar pub in the old Austin Avenue Buffet digs. Good food in yer belly, buy the owner's ma a grandma or 3 to feel like one of the family, or just give the restaurateur a big balloon. - decent service, though not always given with a smile, unless your waitress resembles a smiling french actress (but give up fellas, she's married!) and this is intown beeattch, go to applebee's if you want flairy waitrons!

I've been to this place about a dozen times now and the food is always very inconsistent with the preparation. Once I got an absolutely devine soup of cream potatoes and two days later it was a totally different soup and the presentation on the salad less than delightful. The service particular in the bar area is greatly lacking. The burgers never seem to weigh out to a standard 8 ounce patty and are often dry overcooked hockey puck replicas. Once I waited 20 minutes for a bowl of luke warm soup that I dared not sent back and though it was an surreal combination of tuna and spinach it might have made a splendid meal if it were served hot not cold. Even service from the bar tends to be a crapshoot depending on who is tending the bar on any given night and what mood they happen to be in. On many a night I've gotten a moody bartenderess. The crowd itself tends to be a bit pompous for a neighborhood bar. All in all the only consistent bright spot for this pub is the ample parking. Overall it's a very depressing addition to the Inman Park pub scene.
