Saint Anthony of the Desert Orthodox Mission in Las Cruces, New Mexico is a great Parish filled with Christ loving and welcoming people. The ancient music (Chants), the smell of the incents, the beauty of the Icons (paintings of religious people/events) surround you. You can feel the fullness of Christ in the Divine Liturgy (Mass).

Ever considered seeing what the ancient Christian faith and liturgies were like? Come and visit St. Anthony Orthodox Mission and take a step back in time. The Orthodox Christian Churches are the same today as they were more than two millennia ago.

The Orthodox Churches we are not Jewish, but we are Orthodox. We are not Roman, but we are Catholic. We are not Protestant, but the Bible came from us. We are not Denominational, we are Pre-Denominational.

Get to know the ??Original? Christian Church?..discover her history, worship and theology throughout the ages. Come and visit St. Anthony of the Desert Orthodox Mission Parish and see what you??ve been missing!

Message from St. Anthony of the Desert Orthodox Mission

We welcome all to "Come and See" this the most ancient of the Christian Churches. We are an all English speaking congregation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA. We are meeting in Kendrick Chapel of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on the NE corner of Hadley and Alameda in downtown Las Cruces.

Father and Pani moved here from Northampton PA, where he was attatched at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He was also professor at St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Seminary in South Bound Brook, NJ.

Here here in Las Cruces you can find Father teaching at NMSU, baking at Mountain View Market Co-Op, biking with the Bike and Chowder Group or walking with Pani and their two Keeshond dogs around Mesilla Plaza near their home.
