I have gone several times to this new restaurant on University Avenue and want to publicize it so it stays around. I discovered it by walking by. I have had a lovely dinner there on New Year's eve and last week ate lunch there with other moms from my daughter's school. I have also bought desserts and chocolate and coffee a few other times. Everything is elegant, flavorful and beautifully presented. My only complaint is that the portions are small for the price. I appreciate the healthfulness and beauty of eating a few courses in small portions, but the prices for each should be lower.
So, If it is a special occasion and you are ready to fill up not by eating one large entree but by tasting wonderful appetizers, small entrees, different side dishes prepared beautifully in small portions, and saving room for the beautiful (and quite adequately sized) desserts, drinking an aperatif, appropriate wine with each course, and after dinner drinks, and therefore spending a lot of money to have a beautiful experience, this is the place. (Don't go with your guy who loves a 20 oz steak).
Very nice and attentive service and a very sleek and elegant room, too.
Place was empty first few times I went, and pretty full last week for lunch after the good review came out in the Mercury News.
