Shortly after their opening in Rockwall's The Harbor, when I ordered a Shrimp Cocktail, I was served twelve (12) "LARGE SHRIMP" with their great cocktail sauce. This trip, when I ordered the same, I was served about 20-25 "small shrimp" with cocktail sauce. Boy was I SHOCKED & DISAPPOINTED!!! However, I must admit that the small shrimp did have a good taste. Dodie's Lakefront needs to know that when their patron's order a shrimp cocktail", we expect to be served more than the small shrimp that we could have cooked at home ourselves for much less than half the price! In the past, I was a HUGE FAN of Dodie's Lakefront. This trip, I'm not so impressed. Next time, I will stick with their fried catfish and oysters.

Love this restaurant and the fantastic location on the Harbor.

I frequent this establishment and often times split meals with my husband as the portions are quite large. True cajun style seafood at its best!

For the ultimate experience sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Ray Hubbard.

Decent pricing and friendly wait staff.

I've given Dodies a couple of tries & I'm not a huge fan. Crawfish were good & spicy but the fried shrimp weren't anything special. The service was poor - we didn't order drinks so I guess the girl thought her tip wouldn't be big enough. View is lovely. Nice outdoor dining.

It is located in the new Rockwall development called The Harbour. Dodie's has a fairly small seated inside area and bar area inside and a small veranda outside. It is on the boardwalk and all restaurants here face the water so you can't see them from the parking lot. 2008 it hosted the first Rockwall Mardi Gras festivities.

Pros: good cajun food and home to the all u can eat crawfish.
Great location and view
Cons: slightly pricey
