We've had excellent experiences here! The food is amazing (much better than at your typical Mexican restaurant) and there are some unique menu choices that you won't find other places. The portions are huge and the service is outstanding. It's a little bit pricier than some other places, but it's totally worth it. It's always packed!

My favorite place to go on Tuesdays has now become my favorite place to go on Thursdays too! Why? $1 Tacos at Taqueria El Azteca! Taqueria El Azteca is one of the last thriving businesses at Quaker Village and there's a reason for that. For months, we have been enjoying the $1 taco special on Tuesdays. Their tacos are served American or Mexican style, both of which are wonderful. I prefer the Mexican style which consists of your choice of meat, onions, avocado, cilantro, lime and radishes. They also have a green spicy salsa that is a great topper. The American style tacos are more filling (and fattening) and are covered with cheese.
The tacos aren't the only thing keeping them in business I assure you. I have also tried the fajitas, enchiladas and burritos , all which rival any local Mexican restaurant. The waitstaff is also great. We have never had poor service and the place is usually packed. It's great to find a local restaurant that is consistently great as far as food and service goes. Yay Taqueria El Azteca!

Taqueria El Azteca recently opened in Quaker Village and my friends and I went to try it out. We had a large table, I'm sure we were a little loud because we all laugh loudly and we were having a good time catching up. I know we were probably a little difficult for the waiter because we had a little girl who didn't feel well with us and she didn't like what she ordered. It didn't matter. The waiter was great, he took the soup she ordered off of the bill (without being asked to do so) because she hadn't eaten it, he refilled our drinks constantly, he checked on us several times and none of the staff ever acted like we were too loud or were there too long (which we were). The food was terrific and plentiful. I have never seen a cheese dip that large in my life and it was the same price as others that are about a third as big. We got a wide variety of food and I believe all of us were pleased. The only drawback was a fairly strong disinfectant smell, other than that, I would have put a perfect score. Oh, and for those on a budget, they have a Taco Tuesday and I believe tacos are a dollar on that day. I haven't gone in on a Tuesday but I've been over at Quaker Village and they are packed.
