My husband's rear-end in his '99 Chevy Silverado 1500 went out and a blind quote was given from another mechanic shop. I contacted Christian Brother's off of 1960/Champions area and was quoted $1500-$2000 over the phone, but the whole kit could be purchased for $2500. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 3/22/2010, my wife took her 2006 ToyT Sequoia to the Space Center location after exp. problems with the check engine light. We were told that a computer diagnostic would be done at a non-refundable cost $89.00. We left the vehicle there and approx. two hours later received a call from Robert regarding the condition of the vehicle.

We were told that VSV Valve and Charcoal Cannister Assembly were not working and the parts needed to be replaced - Cost $9.17.00 for parts and $629.00 for labor. This seemed very expensive, especially for the labor cost. Repair Order #0008654; Estimate #0009871.

We elected to not have the vehicle repaired at that cost. Subsequently, taking the vehicle to Bill Lowery Automotive, who conducted a computer diagnostic (free) and the mechanic found that that a hose/tube had come loose from the cannister, which prompted the engine repair light to come on. They re-attached the hose and the computer reset itself - thus indicating no other problems. The VSV valve was checked and it was in good working order. We were charged $80.00 for the repair.

Not sure what kind of scam you guys are running, but you almost had me for over $1,600.00. Thought I could trust your business, especially after hearing Dave Ramsey make positive comments in regard. However, I'm not sure where this behavior fits within his baby step program for becoming financially indpendent. Fool me once - but not twice.

I will forward this complaint to the Better Business Bureau, Automotive Review and of course Dave Ramsey will be notified.
PS. Does your mechanics actually ever physically inspect a vehicle?

We brought in 2 cars for repair. First noticed that the personnel up front were professional closers. (Pressure Salesman that Sell, Sell, Sell). Since we read good things about their service, we overlooked this issue.

The first car that we got back had to be returned the very next morning due to an oil leak. This leak was bad enough that the car had to be returned to a location that was closer to our house. I was told they would look at it immediately. After several hours of waiting, I was informed that the parts house brought over oil filter with no o-ring. So they had to wait for another delivery. Over 3 1/2 hours later, I was out the door.

The other car was brought in for several things. One of the main issues turned out to be an exhaust leak. After getting conflicting _stories_ for 4 days about how hard it was to get the gaskets from the local dealer, the exhaust leak was fixed. The other issues that were present was a tune-up and brakes. When we got the car back, the brakes were noisy as ever. I called the sales person and asked if they fixed the brakes and performed the tune-up. After several minutes of waiting on hold they returned to inform me that they had no clue if these items were looked at while in the shop.
The Work order clearly stated both. The sales person then proceeded to tell me that I could bring the car back in and they would have a look and then proceeded on trying to sell me additional services that I may need. Once again the pressure sales hat was on!

2 Cars, both had problems. We will be looking elsewhere for our repair work.

We have brought our car here and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and seemed to really take their time to make sure they got it right. Made us feel comfortable.

I have nothing but respect for the owners of this business. Although they are expensive, their work is top-notch and they are very honest. They gave me a ride to/from my home. They quickly diagnosed an A/C problem w/my daughter's car that was misdiagnosed by a competititor on 10 different occasions! The owners are very polite and I've had nothing but good luck with them.
