Our dog was bitten by a rattlesnake. My complaint is with their charges, billing, and business model. They required a credit card before they would proceed with treatment, then they come up with a very high estimate of charges, which I was able to bring down by questioning it and going through it with the vet. I requested that they call me, regardless of the hour, before doing anything beyond the single dose of antivenin, pain meds, and the bloodwork, and despite their request for authorization ahead of time for "additional things that might come up", I refused that request, and asked them to call me first for anything and everything. Despite my request, they still did things beyond the scope of what I limited it to, running up needless, excessive charges.
Being an MD, I know what is going on, what is reasonable and what is not reasonable, and they were way beyond what I would do for my human patients. But by getting your credit card ahead of time, you become their captive, and they hide behind vague excuses they call "medical necessity" to pad the bills and run up needless costs. The care was fine, but the charges and their business model is excessive and abusive. Beware before you go there.

EAC has a great reputation for being an emergency animal hospital to which I can bring my exotic pets. There are not any emergency hospitals that keep exotic pet veterinarians on staff 24-7. In fact, most of them don't have such staff. However, at EAC, veterinarians are trained in caring for exotic pets in case of emergency, which is extremely important. If you have an exotic pet and the exotic animal hospitals are closed, consider visiting the EAC nearest you.

I placed a formal written complaint to the clinic. Upon the front desk receiving the complaint, three staff members discussed the complaints at the front desk and said only one of the items was true. Two days later, I received a follow up call from the clinic. It just happened to be one of the three staff members that discussed the complaint on the day the complaint was submitted. To no surprise he said that all complaints were false but 1. I was not alone and two other people saw and experienced the same things that were voiced in the complaint. The staff member that followed up informed me that there are other choices in the valley besides their facility. All tests had to be run again the next day at my regular vet. I have not found a way to contact the board of directors and at this point I can only assume that it is policy for the offending staff to follow up on complaints. Therefore I will take their advice. There ARE other OPTIONS in the valley. I would strongly recommend other pet owners to seek out other options.
