Yummie  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

This place has amazing cupcakes. Whatever taste of cupcake you are in the mood for Puddin' Out Cupcakes has them. The only thing that I didn't like was the decoration of the place but there cupcakes are okay.

My friend works here: Cupcakes NOT WORTH IT!!! Bread Pudding is GREAT tho! 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I'm a cupcake lover (luv-ah) and was so excited that a new cupcake joint (with late hours) was opening up so I got a PT job there to quench my desire for CUPCAKES. Anyway, I was majorly bummed to find out that the cupcakes, even with a price hovering around $3, was made from a premixed generic cakemix from the supplier. Also used: artificial flavorings and spices found at Smart and FInal. I agree - Betty Crocker makes a better cupcake then these ones...

The bread pudding is AMAZING tho! I guess that's what the owner originally wanted to sell exclusively but the other owners wanted to bring in cupcakes because they were "trendy". The bread pudding is fresh, made from three different kinds of bread (brioche, challah and sourdough, I think) and it super tasty delicious. I love it. The other puddings (sweet potato, ricotta, chocolate lava) are pretty tasty, too.

Cupcakes: C-
Bread Pudding: A-

Another gripe I have is the poor design aesthetic. Generic pink bakery boxes with a cheapo stamp on it... plastic clamshell containers lined with crappy orange tissue paper. For real? Take a note from Sprinkles and move along.

The sad part is that the owner (who has NO experience in the food industry at all - he's a plastic surgeon) honestly thinks his cupcakes are better than the competitor's i.e. Sprinkles, Leda's, Yummy, etc. They're certainly better than a Ralph's cupcake but no match for a sweet delish cupcake made with REAL butter, Nielsen Massey vanilla and other yummy natural flavors.

Pros: Late hours, tasty bread pudding
Cons: Generic cakemix, artificial flavors, food prep stories that would horrify you

Puddin' Out Cupcakes... NOT worth the trip.... 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

We are BIG fans of cupcakes! Generally, we will go to Sprinkles or Jones on Third, but was thrilled to find a cupcake specialty store on our side of the hill... What a disappointment. VERY little variety available. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and expected a good selection. All that aside, we decide to buy a cross section of flavors that were in the case. The cake was DRY.. Betty Crocker cupcakes at home taste more moist. The frosting was hard, as though it was sitting for sometime, similar to that of cupcakes you would buy pre-packaged at Ralph's Bakery. The stores appearance was not inviting.. very messy, unclean and looked as though they were working on it still. There was only one person working and his shirt was FILTHY..
The sign in the window offered free cup of coffee with every cupcake purchase, however, we were only offered drinks to purchase like bottled water or soda. All in all, we spent $18 on cupcakes.. Waste of money and time.

Don't Bother 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Believe me when I tell you "I KNOW CUPCAKES" and this place is not worth your time. They need to decide what they do best and stick with it and there are never enough flavors available...what cupcake place would ever run out of Red Velvet...shameful. Want good cupcakes? Go go Suzie Cakes in Calabasass!

Too much junk and perving for a 'CUPCAKE' shop 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Upon walking into Puddin Out Cupcakes, Im highly disturbed with the horrible decor, with modern and kid like design, it was most undesirable. The shop was overly cluttered with an arrange of food and drinks, extremely too many things to choose from for a cupcake shop. I approached the cupcakes and saw that they looked rather appealing and decided to try 2 different flavors, Fudge those Figures and a Banana one. the chocolate was different, and pretty okay in general. But the Banana was amazing, i definently recommend that one. Now are you wondering why I'm giving it 1 star if the cupcakes were pretty good? Well, the service was exceptional the young red headed girl behind the counter was more than helpful and never loss her smile which suprised me with that atmosphere she was working in. I'm assuming that the gentleman that walked into the kitchen was the manager or owner, he was MOST unpleasant. He gocked at my wifes breasts, after making us wait 15 minutes while he was getting his 'GAME ON' with the plastic barbies that were infront of us. He walked away and told the girl working to ring us up. She apologized for the wait and inconvience and wished us a great night. Now, if you'd like to go to a bakery where there is a perving middle aged man working, than I totally recommend this place. And make sure that you get one of the tank tops that say 'I LOVE PUDDIN OUT'.

Pros: Cupcakes we're pretty okay
Cons: Perving middle aged man manager or owner?

Great product, SLACK service---- they should show up. 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I have to say that the actual product here is superior. The reason I give them two stars rather than four or five has to do with the service. I LOVE these cupcakes. They are moist, flavorful, and the ingredients taste very authentic... even the peanut butter, (which usually tastes synthetic in other bakeries). The ultimate favorite is "Black Hole in One" a vanilla bean cake, chocolate pudding in the center, topped with a combo of chocolate and vanilla cream cheese frosting---- SO GOOD! I love these cupcakes so much that I wanted to surprise my best friend with a dozen for her birthday. I show up on Sunday morning at 10AM when they are listed as opening (even on their front door).... I waited almost 45 minutes because on the other side of the door they had written "back in 5 minutes". So after 45 minutes i leave. There is no sign that anyone has even been there and there were no cupcakes in the case. I actually think the "back in 5" had been written at different time. I completely support independent stores and like the relaxed vibe, but i really think there is too much competition to be this SLACK- especially when the store just opened. So disappointing. I hope they get their stuff together.
