I've been going to Gifted Creations Hair Salon for almost a year now and I love the service that I receive. When I first went, my hair was thin, short and breaking, possibly from over relaxing. But now, I'm completey natural and love every bit of it. Most people think my hair is relaxed, but she showed me a new way of having the straight, silky look without a relaxer. Shonda is an excellent and professional stylist and explains what she's doing and provide great results. My hair is silky and longer. She uses the "silk wrap" process on my hair and it's bouncy and strong. Shonda uses only the best products and hair tools. I definitely recommend her to other clients. I even sent her referrals.
I been here a few time even though her prices are high, I still want to be a customer. I went there one evening and I believe in my heart that she was in a rush to get to an event (over hearing her talk). She gave me the worst hair cut, the front of my hair was short and not even at all. Then she made me look like I was 16 year-old and I'm in my mid 20's. I was so disappointed and her service, (to make matter worst everyone notice the bad service, you want to leave a salon feeling beautiful not the opposite). I??m an African-American, so my hair isn't going to grow back in 3 weeks. It's bad enough she's the only one running the shop, if she had more help I would not be in this situation. I would not advise this salon to anyone.
A little hidden secret in Midway. The stylist Shonda really cares about hair. She was so professional. She took the time to explain everything she was doing and what I needed. This meant so much. My hair never felt so soft, shiny and healthy looking after the first time leaving a salon. I had to call my friends. My co-workers that I had weave in my hair. Now they are her clients. So if you were like me, tired of people messing up your hair and not even caring, I suggest you call Shonda TODAY
