My wife and I were in a little 1bedroom apartment in Sherman Oaks, had just moved there and literally unpacked the last box when the apartment manager knocked on the door to inform us that we needed to be relocated due to some major repair work that was about to happen. On top of that, we needed to be out ASAP.
Normally it would have been just a matter of taking a weekend and some friends but both my wife and I had been injured and could not physically complete the move. So I looked around for some quotes.
NorthStar had the best deals for what we needed.
The crew showed up with 2 days notice, bright and early...and on time. They not only relocated my apartment in under 4 hours, they were friendly and professional. They packed our apartment, dismantled our furniture and set us up in the new place.

A friend of mine was moving from one house to another that was about 30 minutes away. She uses NorthStar Moving Corporation and they helped her get all her heavy lifting things into the truck, brought them to her new house and unloaded them and brought them in to where she wanted them to be placed.

It was my first move, so naturally I have lot and lots of questions, and all were answered patiently by the very patient Christel who won my business with the professionalism. Every little detail she gave me and my husband when we conference called about the hourly price and extra cost of supplies, was a big help on the move day. We were packed and ready for the movers, and had an easy, surprise free move. Well, no bad surprises anyway. There were nice ones: they gave me an arrival window of 8:000-10:00am, and arrived on 8:05. That was a good start and I was glad the day kept going in that direction. They were always smiling, even with the super hot day I ended up moving on. They made my move quick and easy.

They sent a great team. David, Elias and Scott were total pros. They were careful wrapping, loading and unloading my stuff, and even protected my carpet as requested. They left us very impressed.

I?ve lived in my apartment for twelve years. I didn?t really want to leave but the new owners were turning the building into condos. Twelve years means I probably had more than the usual two bedroom worth there, and it also meant that I couldn?t handle all the packing on my own (ok, time to be honest: Me & my family were too lazy to pack it all?). Northstar made it all simple and easy. They suggested we add one more man to the crew than they usually would have sent to my size of apartment, and that really helped speed things up. They packed whatever we didn?t finish packing, made sure everything was protected and wrapped and helped us get to the other side of the day all settled in our new place and completely appreciative of their hard work.

They showed up on time ( even a little early, actually), and not only were good workers, they also were nice, polite, and caring: they kept telling me to relax, that my move was one of the easiest they had and they will wrapped my furniture very well before taking them out into the truck. And you know what? They were right. Why be all stressed out about moving? That?s no fun! When you hire the right movers you can survive the fully day stress-free, and have a new apartment with fresh paint smell all around way before the day is done!

I didn?t know what to expect when I hired professional movers for the first time, after hearing so may scary stories, but I just wasn?t about to do another move on my own, I needed help and I am so glad to say the Northstar Moving guys were extremely professional, and quick to accommodate my every request. They were quick and efficient all through the day. It was a smooth move and I am very thankful to them for that.

I don't usually write any reviews, but this company was the worst moving experience in my life.
First of all, the three men were not professional, rude, slow and dishonest.
My new place was just 2 blocks from the old one, yet they charged me $1,500 (for a 1 bedroom apartment), but I didn't see this coming, for they charged me extra after they finished unloading. They told me that they worked extra hours, so they will have to charge more. Did I mention how slow they were? Now I'm pretty sure that was on purpose.
And it's not all. They broke some of my furniture, including 2 floor lamps, and stole some of my belongings - Why? I have no idea, but that painting was very valuable to me.
I'll tell every one and all of my friends not to use this movers and make sure this review gets everywhere online. Stay away from this company!

I must let the world know about Northstar moving company located at 9120, Mason Ave, Chatsworth, Ca, 91311. Its the second time for us using there services. nothing less then excellent service from the start to end. compatible price, professional and courteous movers, showing up on time. fast, clean, pleasant and was well worth every penny. moving was not stressful it was pleasant. Superb service, NorthStar is flawless, Northstar is the diamond in the crown.

I would like to thank NorthStar Moving for our recently completed successful and stress-free move. Our experience with NorthStar met our high expections. Since a colleague of mine recommended them, we were already expecting superior service. We were not disappointed!! The positive impressions started when Sam came to give us an estimate. He was very professional and courteous. The effort displayed by Joe, Alon, Dan and Yohai during the loading and unloading of the moving van on October 20, was outstanding. They were careful, but fast and took pains to protect our home and its contents. I was particularly impressed with the skill they all displayed while moving the heavy piano into our new home. We appreciated their service and would have no hesitation in recommending NorthStar Moving to our friends.

My wife and I would like to thank Ram and the whole NorthStar organization for a very efficient and professional move on October 1 of this year. Everything from the estimate by Mr. Sam to the actual move by Nick and Jose was conducted with utmost courtesy and expediency. Mr. Sam completed his estimate immediately and on the spot. The two movers placed and moved furniture in my third floor apartment until I was satisfied, all with quiet patience and courtesy. We plan to move to our new permanent home in Northern California, near Sacrament later this year. And, you may be assured that NorthStar will receive the call to move us.

Just want to compliment NorthStar's staff on a fabulous, professional, organized move I had!!! They were all so courteous, helpful and I cannot begin to tell you how perfect they did things for us and it made our life so much easier and when we got to the new house, they were so quick and unbelievably ORGANIZED!!!
