On February 23rd my son had a surgery at Kaiser Zion. The attention was very good. At the monitor at the room is a good tool to keep the patient??s relatives inform. In addition assigning a number to the patient is a good way to keep privacy. However all the efforts made by the hospital are destroyed when some doctors violate the patient??s privacy.
When I was in the waiting room a doctor named Dr. Lee, maybe a neurosurgeon discussed very private information about the patient. I am not going the talk about the details I heard. He did not call the relative to a more private environment to inform about the patient. He loudly disclosed private information which I heard as a third party which I am not interested. It is not my case, the doctor that performed a surgery to my son call me to a more private environment to update me about the procedure went.
I think Kaiser as Hospital most to enforce privacy policies and immediately stop those practices that can hurt the reputation of the institution.

I am So Disappointed with this Pregnancy Experience through Kaiser. I have had my other children at a Private practice. This was my first baby at Kaiser. WOW what a shocking sad mistake. The OB will spend 2 to 5 minutes with you at the most. They are Rude women who are condescending and make Comments to you. You never get to add you input. Which ever OB is on call will deliver you. Yet my OB neglected to tell me that she would be leaving the Week Before and Week of my EDD so She would NO Chance deliver me. A stranger would. My LO is Breech. They have no plan for my Delivery and I am at 37 weeks. So I expect an Emergency C section any day now.

The nurses were good. Doc could have done a politically correct way of telling me i had advance heart disease instead of slapping a nitro patch on me. Kaiser doesnt do bypasses, had to be sent to La jolla scripps. They had good food! Amazing!

Zion is the worst hospital I've ever been to. I've gone into the ER for miscarriages, and ended up on a gurney in the hall with no clothes, draped with a sheet. Complete strangers walking by gawking at me because they don't know how to manage their patient income. When I had my son, my birth experience was awful from start to finish. I was induced, then given an epidural that didn't work, another anesthesiologist came in saying the one before him was a complete idiot, because he put it completely in the wrong place. I had a hard birth, so I was screaming most of the time, which my husband heard the doctor say bitchy things about me before she was to do my c-section. Then, when they should've had me take my staples out in only 3 days, as they do with everyone else...THEY said to leave it in for 10 days, causing me to get a really bad infection.Unfortunately, I don't have much of a choice going there, because my insurance is through them, but if you do, avoid Zion at all costs.

This Kaiser gynecology dept is wonderful. I had to have surgery and my doctor was wonderful. He explained everything that was to be done, and took away my fears and made me feel safe in his care. The hospital staff was very caring and supportive, and saw to my every need while I was in the hospital. I've always had good care.
