I'll follow Beth Pulliam anywhere!

by loveshay

Beth Pulliam has been my hair dresser for over 5 years now. I have followed her from her old salon where she always did amazing work, to Primp a charming little shop in Southeast Pdx. Beth has a knack for putting together extraordinary ideas and keeping my hair looking fresh and fun. Be it a maintenance cut/color or a completely new look, she always brings her A game and is super fun to spend a few hours with.In a town where salons and stylists are a dime a dozen this girl is a keeper!

Pros: cute, tons of plants, great location

Cons: a little loud

Great place, great products, great stylist!

by Meagan Kennedy

I have been seeing Beth (aka Beth Ann) for years and she is now located at Primp. She has been my best kept secret and now I can point all of the random people who stop me on the street asking, "Who does your hair?" towards this adorable little salon.

If I have nothing in mind or something very specific, I always leave happy. Beth keeps my color beautiful and my cut bangin'. I have pixie-length hair and Beth will always leave me with something special and flattering. Go now!

Pros: Central SE location, make appointments online, talent

few things not right

by kterbo

I went here based on the ratings a while back. The stylist, (I don't feel the need to mention her name) saw me for the first time. I explained what i wanted and she quickly said "got it" and started to cut my hair. She didn't get it nor couldn't possibly for the 3 mins that I talked. Here is what was not right, she asked nothing of my hair type, how it behaves how I style it not my lifestyle. I have very long hair, a lot of it.. it waves half way down my head and seems to b thicker on the ends. ** When I go to a professional they normally take 45 mins to an hour and 20 to cut my hair. She cut it in 15 minutes!! How is this right? Result, two weeks after the haircut my hair looked as if it needed a cut again. It was not straight and quite unruly. Maybe Im use to Salons in NY and Philadelphia but a good cut should last 8 weeks.

I went online and found a very high ranking stylist with may awards and many shows under their belt and got it cut three weeks later, they asked a million questions and took a little over an hour to cut my hair. Guess what? 9 weeks later my hair is still behaving. I'm only getting a cut to shorten it. That is the meaning a an excellent stylist!

It is arrogant of a stylist to think they can cut hair properly in 15 or 20 mins, and that they get you without asking many questions.

Pros: Location, cute salon

Cons: stylist not thorough

Tina is excellent, salon is very charming

by leac

Tina cut and colored my hair beautifully. I have had very long hair for years and have had it colored a few times before. My hair is naturally medium to dark brown neutral. I had a vague idea that I wanted to go a little lighter, much shorter, and have a classic or romantic-looking cut. Tina described to me what she proposed to do, in detail, and also pointed out a color mistake that a previous salon had made about six months ago. Her color choice, application, and cut were all-- and I don't use this word often-- perfect. I am not a fan of highlights, especially on me; I dislike the stripey look and think they give a harsh and kitschy feel to one's style. Tina, though, gave me these precise highlights made up of individual strands of hair here and there. She took her time and was great conversation, so the three or so hours went by quickly. I am thrilled with the results; it's like getting a present every time I look in the mirror or go out. Also-- and this is important to me-- she seemed to use the right tone for my skin color. I always worry that my hair will look too coppery, even when neutral. I have checked out my hair in all lighting situations now. There is just enough warm in the hair for it to be vibrant, and it is not coppery. There seem to be cool and mostly neutral tones, all are shiny and pretty and completely natural-looking. The cut is lots and lots of fun, neither boring nor tendentiously coiffed.

The salon has no silly pretensions, just real professionalism. It is basically expensive but not overly so. It is well worth it. They are upfront and conscientious about the cost as well. I definitely recommend this salon and specifically Tina to anyone wanting a color, natural-looking highlights, or a cut.

Pros: perfect results, expertise, cool place to go, friendly

Cons: pretty spendy-- not overpriced, but not cheap

Tina is an excellent colorist and a lifesaver!

by chuston

Tina rescued my hair! My original stylist colored it blond and the roots turned orange. Before finding Tina, I went to a second stylist for a color correction who colored my hair brunette without my permission (see my other reviews). After hearing my story, Tina stayed late on a Sunday to have a consultation to make sure she could correct my color without causing further damage. She took me on and the next day, she was very generous with her time as the process had to be done over almost three hours to insure the integrity of my hair. When I saw the results, I was thrilled. It was perfect! She returned my hair to normal and I have no damage from the process. She is truly fabulous (and very fun too).

Pros: Excellent skills, Very personable

Andrea is amazing

by Janealexandra938

I've been going to Andrea Morrow to get my hair done since I moved to Portland about six years ago. Every so often, I've tried someone else and they just did not even compare to Andrea. I recommend EVERYONE to see her! She's so friendly and she makes sure you are always on the exact same page as far as what you want done to your hair, so there are never any mishaps! She also suggests ideas of her own and they always end up being great ones that I love in the long run. She is truly a professional and I recommend that if you're looking for a salon to go to, go to Primp. And when you go to Primp, ask for Andrea.
The salon itself is very cozy, clean, stylish, and inviting. The artwork on the walls is beautiful and the music is good, which is always a plus.
The girls are all very professional, yet very friendly, talkative, and understanding. Unlike several other salons I've been to in the Portland area, the girls at Primp really do care about doing great work.
This is my favorite salon I have been to.
I highly recommend Andrea Morrow, and Primp in general, to anyone looking for a good salon to visit.

Pros: atmosphere, music, focused caring staff

Cons: none that I can think of

Sabrina is the best stylist in PDX!!

by StephanieG

I've been seeing Sabrina for years and I can contest that she is downright the best stylist out there. After Sabrina left Bliss and was in transition for her new place to open I kept going to Bliss and getting my hair done. The girls at Bliss NEVER got my hair right. I actually had to go back several times after a color b/c it wasn't right, which they never got it right in the end. When Primp opened I came running back to Sabrina and asked her to please fix my hair. She not only got it right, she got it perfect. Some of the things I really like about Sabrina is that she gets to know you and your personality. So if you come in with a new idea for a cut or color she'll work it out with you and help you get what your after but maybe not as drastic as the picture you cut out shows. She cares about her clients and their apperance. She drives to make people feel good about themselves. I can attest that if you make an appointment with Sabrina at Primp you'll not only get a great salon experience, you'll make a good friend also.

Absolutely fabulous haircuts!

by abalone99

I've been getting my hair cut at Bliss since moving to Portland several years ago. I've always had great cuts there by various stylists but I've been very curious about Primp and wanted to try them. Today I finally got my chance. Meaning no disrespect to Bliss and the talented ladies there but I will not be back! The haircuts at Primp are elevated to sheer perfection and cost $5 less!

I booked a very last minute appointment with Sabrina, the owner and former co-founder of Bliss. Having just gone through a break up I wanted something drastic and different. Unfortunately for poor Sabrina I really didn't know what I wanted exactly. I came to her with my very vague wish, my concerns about my hair, but no pictures like I usually do. Sabrina was so sweet and knew exactly how to go about finding exactly what I would be happy with. She asked all the right questions, showed me some pictures of styles she was thinking about, and moved my then long hair around to give me a 'preview' of the shorter styles she had in mind. My hair hadn't been cut in about 6 months, was curly and looked like hell, but Sabrina turned it into a work of art! She even offered to do my cut in steps and check in with me along the way so she didn't take off too much. What a novel and great idea! I've never had a stylist offer that. I felt complete trust with Sabrina and it was clear she was truly concerned with making me happy and giving me the cut I wanted. Sabrina took great care and was constantly doing touchups or using a variety of different tools to get the right look. She must have gone back to do touch ups a good 4-5 times. She got it PERFECT. She also told me she likes using just enough or the right type of product to give hair texture without weighing it down and making it greasy or stiff. YES!!! So many stylists put so much product in your hair that you feel like it's pretty to look at but untouchable or that you have to wash it in a few hours to get the pound of grease out. My hair is gorgeous and I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy my beautiful blowout and style for at least 2-3 days. She worked with my hair and the cut to make sure it would work both curly and straight. It's so fun and unique and I can't wait to work with it and see all the different ways it can work.

The only negative things I have to say (and I hate to say it) is that there wasn't anyone to greet me at the door or check me in. At first I wasn't sure if maybe they hadn't received my online booking. A receptionist or maybe even a free stylist stopping to welcome me and let me know I'd be seen in a bit would have been nice. There were also 2 or 3 employees talking on the floor on their cell phones having very personal phone calls. It ruined the ambiance a bit and made it seem a bit unprofessional. Seriously though, these were very minor things and I'm sure part of the growing pains process as Primp is fairly new. Maybe there's no receptionist due to the recession? In any case, both issues are completely swept out the door and unimportant when you consider the amazing artistry, care, and technique you receive with the haircuts. I can't recommend this salon enough. It took me about half a year to trust my hair with someone once I moved to town and I'm completely converted to Sabrina and her wonderful salon, Primp.

Oh, and I almost forgot! It was POURING in a freak thunderstorm by the time my cut was done so Sabrina ran through the back and got me a bag to cover my head with so my beautiful cut and style wasn't ruined! I must have looked like a freak running down the sidewalk with a bag over my head, but it saved my hair. Haha, thanks, Sabrina! You're a true gem, and I can't wait to see you again!

Pros: Super attentive hair stylists, willing to listen, and nice!

Cons: Some people talking on cell phones, not greeted at door.

Tina is a great hairstylist

by sherrill13

I have been with Tina for sometime know, I have gray hair and it is straight, its hard to curl my hair, the perms would fall out quickly , Tina has found the best perm for my hair, it stays in for a long time know, I also have it colored , she is the best for color, I have many shades of color in my hair and since it is part gray she uses a couple of different colors at the same time to even it out and it comes out great and even all over.she worked at dirty little secrets for years but they closed this year, I would follow Tina anywhere she goes, I really like the new salon.

Pros: great with perms for gray hair

Cons: none

Go See Tina at Primp!

by muse987

I have extremely curly hair and if you have curly hair you know how hard it is to find a good stylist. If you are still searching for the perfect hairdresser to rock your curls look no further than Tina at Primp. I just visited Tina in her new location at Primp (Tina is formerly of the now-closed Dirty Little Secret Salon which was known for their stylists who specialized in curly hair) and I love the new, beautiful space. Tina is friendly, energetic and fun to talk to. She sincerely loves doing hair and making people look pretty and will go the extra mile to make sure you get the cut you want. If you have curls, kiss those frizzy, strange shaped styles goodbye!

P.S. I've also seen Tina's work on other textures of hair besides curls and she is equally fabulous.

Pros: Tina rocks!

Cons: None that I could see

Sabrina is the best!!!

by HappyHeather

I've been seeing Sabrina for about three years - when she was still at Bliss and now owns Primp. I used to hate having my hair cut! I would go home and wash my hair and cut bits and pieces off after paying someone $30 to cut it. My first cut with Sabrina was just a trim - and I didn't feel like I had to go home and do anything with it! Since then, I have had Sabrina cut my hair in many different styles and she always cuts it just the way I wanted it with hardly a direction from me. She is the definition of professional. I think that someone who knows what they are doing doesn't take long to do it - and I've never had a drippy back! I've stuck with Sabrina even after moving to Vancouver. And I'll stick with her as long as I can! Thank you for always making me look fabulous, Sabrina!

Not quite, Primp....

by chanjyinger

So I had read good things about Primp from this site and others so I decided to go there for my haircut. I went, despite the fact that when I asked the receptionist to recommend someone who had experience working with Asian hair, she dodged the question and said "Um... well everyone here is a really good stylist...." But, the scores on here made me take the chance. When I got to Primp, everything looked fine--it was nice and clean inside. I had Sabrina and first we talked about how I wanted my hair done for a little bit, and it seemed like she understood. But when she washed my hair, she didn't put a towel down for my neck and I got all wet and she definitely rushed through the shampoo job. The cut was much worse. She brushed my hair for a second, then started cutting big chunks of my hair off, very nonchalantly. She didn't cut the bottom layer first, didn't make sure it was even, and didn't even cut any of my hair with vertical strokes, like I know you're supposed to. As a result, I have a blunt looking bob that has "volume" in random areas, is longer on the left side than the right, and has too-long strands of hair in other places. The whole process took 15 minutes. I don't know what the rush was, but now I have to get it cut again before my first ever job interview. Maybe she can cut other peoples' hair well and just had a really really off day with me, but I won't be returning.
********
So about 5 minutes after I posted this review, Sabrina called my cellphone to apologize. While I appreciate that, I felt calling me to reply to an internet review was really intrusive and intimidating. Moreover, she wasn't very polite and she bluntly implied it was my fault for not telling her I didn't like it (I didn't even realize it was uneven until I got home). But she never thought that maybe I just left because I wasn't comfortable with her fixing it! In any case, she ended the phone call by hanging up on me while I was still talking.

Amazing hair by Tina

by zoeypetunia

I spent yesterday afternoon having my hair colored by Tina at her new location. As always it was a relaxing experience which left me feeling rejunivated. She has an amazing ability to visualize the end result even when I have trouble describing what I want. Tina has created a variety of looks for me over the past couple years and I have loved them all. I have never felt such a degree of trust and loyalty towards a stylist and wouldn't dream of seeing anyone else. Check her out she ROCKS.

Pros: Tina's creativity and presence

I am so happy with Tina. She gave me a great cut and color. She listened to what I wanted and had helpful ideas/ suggestions. She is fun and makes you feel comfortable! Thanks so much Tina!

Tina is the Bomb, a sage in the world of hair

by mlgriffin12

Tina is new to Primp, but I have been seeing her for the last two years. I am a hair perfectionist and I hate to admit this but I was never fully satisfied with my hair until I found Tina. I like super strait hair which means the person cutting has got to be on their game with those fine layers. She is also a color master, it's like she can read minds or something when it comes to color. The color line she uses always leaves my hair shiny and luxurious. The last time she did my hair she left me feeling like a bronzed goddess. Oh and did I mention she can cut curly hair really well too. My husband has crazy curly hair and she has always made it better rather than pouffy like so many other stylist have done to him. Go see her, you wont regret it!

Pros: Great hair stylists, the owner is great

Go see Tina!! She is THE BEST!!

by oregondoglover

Before finding Tina, I was never committed to one stylist. I would hop around from person to person, not really understanding people that only saw one stylist exclusively. However, after Tina first cut and colored my hair several years ago, I would never go to anyone else! Not only is Tina warm, friendly, and fun, she is also extremely talented. I am constantly getting compliments on both my color and cut. She can do things with color that I thought only Hollywood stylists could do ( no kidding!). I cannot say enough good things about Tina. Primp is so lucky to have her!!

Pros: TINA! TINA! TINA!

Cons: None, a great space!

Been goin' to Sabrina since Kalista (5yrs ago), Bliss(4yrs ago), and now finally she has her own place! Good for you girl....truly gifted, and an all around good soul, you can't miss with this chick. Seasoned but not snobby, she knows her stuff and from what I can tell all the girls working there are as knowledgeable and artistic as she. If you want a great hair do, good time, and be in the presence of some real people then give these girls a call. The salon itself is beautiful, lot's of lush green plants and just really warm and inviting, great neighborhood and easy parking....always offered tea, wine, water or coffee, really feels comfy and like they appreciate my biz. And to be honest in todays economy it is important to feel like my biz is appreciated.

Pros: parking, hospitality....talent of course

Cons: none really

Best Haircuts, Laidback and Relaxing Atmosphere - a fun sassy salon!!

by agua01

So I thought it time to actually write a review for Primp Salon & my hair stylist Andrea. I moved to Portland about three years ago and went to see Andrea when she was at another salon. Since then, not a single other person has been allowed to touch my hair ;-) I followed Andrea to Primp because she gets what I like and strives to give me the cut and color I am looking for. And ladies, remember to be super clear and honest with your hair stylist. They can't read your mind, even though we wish it so. So if I am wanting to try something new out - I bring pictures and we talk about it and she usually steers me the right direction if I have a kooky idea she knows won't work with my hair type. THAT is the mark of a great stylist. Listening and being creative and honest. If that's what you are looking for, then try Primp.

And on a final note, Andrea styled my hair for my wedding just a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how many compliments I received from my friends and family. So if you're looking for a special do, I also recommend Andrea ;-)

Cheers!!

Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Close in SE.

Cons: none so far!

HORRIBLE customer service

by rowboat24

I went in based on the reviews I saw here on city search. I ended up seeing Lisa. She was very quiet and hardly talked at all, which I was a bit disappointed in. Most stylists are engaging. When she washed my hair, she got water on my face, and then got a TON of water down my shirt! She didn't stop and help me get dry or give me a towel or anything, she just kept on going, even though I told her it was now down my shirt. So, I was soaked for most of the haircut. When she was blowing out my hair, she was pulling my head so hard tears formed in my eyes. She styled my hair fine, but the cut just hasn't been good at all, and I've been wearing my hair up just about every day since then. Consequently, I do not recommend going to this place.

Pros: close in distance

Cons: horrible customer service, high prices

I have been trusting only one person with my hair for the last several years, and that would be Andrea! I recently came to Primp and got a cut, color, and style done and I am very satisfied, once again. The salon is relaxed and inviting, yet still has a very professional vibe to it. I feel confident saying Andrea is the best stylist I have ever come to, and I will continue to come to her for as long as I can. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for fantastic results, and for an extra great experience, ask for Andrea! You wont regret it.

I am so happy to have found Andrea at Primp salon. I moved away for a year and when I got back I realized I had to find someone new to do my hair. Andrea had done my hair for several years before I moved away and wasn't sure if she was even still in Oregon. I got in touch with an old friend who let me know where she was working now. I am THRILLED. Andrea has always done a great job, she listens and is always friendly. I am a satisfied customer. By the way, Love the new salon.

Not Impressed

by greenfrog05

I really wanted a new hairstyle and was anxious to get bangs. I had read alot about primp salon and all the people that work there. I have always been used to $15 hair cuts thought that was alot. I was very timid of going there and paying $50 for hair cut, but they had good reviews and went for it. I really wanted the new eyebrow bags that are so cute right now, but bangs for me was a really big jump and i was very nervous. So now i am in the hole $50 and a hair cut i absoultly hate. Andrea cut my hair and even though she was nice, my hair turned out horrible, now i have to find somehow to hide the hidous bangs till they grow out. I am so dissapointed. They raved i would walk out of there looking fab and now i just want to wear a hat 24/7. i hate my haircut and paying that much was not worth it, i had a better haircut from my $15 lady. Thanks alot primp and andrea

Pros: close to my house

Cons: small, too much $$$

Best little hair salon in downtown Portland

by julez23

I have lived in Portland, Oregon for 10 months and up until this point I never thought I would find a hair stylist who even compared with my wonderful gal in North Carolina. I have read reviews until I am blue in the face and unfortunately my initial choice resulted in a cut that I would regret for the next several weeks. But I didn't give up and in my research I learned about all the wonderful stylists at Primp Salon in downtown Portland. The salon itself is beautiful! My appointment was with Sabrina. She is awesome!!! I brought in pictures and with her magic fingers she created one of the best cuts I have ever had! She is truly amazing and very kind! I can't thank you enough, Sabrina!

I just recently went into Primp after hearing my close friend rave about it, and she has specifically told me to go to Andrea. I trusted her and asked for stylist Andrea for a cut and color, and I couldn't be more happy with the results! I went in expecting the results to be like every other salon I've been in. But Andrea had great ideas, she made suggestions for my hair that I would have never thought of, and it turned out looking amazing! I don't think I'll ever go to a different salon after having gone to Primp. I would recommend this salon to anyone. Andrea is the hair master!! Thank you!

Pros: great atmosphere, highly skilled stylists, great results, good conversation

Rhonda rocks!!!!

by janefitness

I followed Rhonda from another salon because she is amazing! She is down to earth and easy to talk to while she works her magic. She is a whiz with color- I change up my color almost every time I see her, and the results are fantastic. Rhonda knows to give me a low maintenance style that looks great even as it grows out. She has even let me come back without charge if color washed out too quickly or a style needed tweaking. She did it all without making me feel like a chump. She is the best! She did my hair just yesterday and I feel like a million bucks!

Pros: The salon is a really nice space, Rhonda works there :)

Cons: none that I can think of....

Thank You Lisa!

by lola2002

I've been meaning to write a review, I got my hair done a few weeks ago by Lisa, and it's wonderful! I have very difficult hair and have had some awful hair cuts because of this, and she totally knew how to best deal with it all! The color was very rich and pretty and the cut was way too super cute! She seems to have a knack of looking at your face shape and matching you with a great cut, especially since I was a little vague on the style I wanted. The salon itself is very pretty, great open windows and the staff is super sweet. I WILL BE RETURNING!

Pros: great staff, great color products, parking available

Primp it yourself

by vanloon

If you don't mind your hair smelling burnt when you leave, dye left on the side of your face, and you understand the name of the salon means YOU will be the one to have to 'primp' your own hair for the next 2 months until the awkward choppy hair cut and fried dye job grows out, this place will be for you!!!

Pros: Friendly Down to Earth Staff

Cons: Burnt hair, dye on the face, long hair will be cut too short despite specific instructions

New favorite salon

by lennydog

I have not been spurred to write a review before, but I was so impressed with Primp that I felt like I had to actually take the time to let other people know what a terrific salon this is. I went to the salon looking for help in fixing a bad cut and color that I was unable to live with any longer. I had been referred to the salon by a friend and I hoped that this referral, as opposed the last one, would work out a little better. To my delight it was everything I was looking for and more. When I called to set up the appointment they did everything to accommodate my schedule and got me right away. The salon has a great open feeling and it is a very relaxing environment. The hairstylist was Sabrina and she is also the owner. I immediately felt at ease with her abilities and trusted her to correct the previously botched job and she did just that. I couldn't be more satisfied with the work that she did and I now have the pleasure of being able to say I have a stylist. It is the best cut and color I have had since moving to Portland 9 years ago.

Pros: Service, expertise and environment

I LOVE Rhonda.. she is amazing!!!!!

by amara75

Rhonda has been my stylist for the past 3 years now. I have followed her desperately :). I have never had anyone else know how to shape hair like Rhonda can. She is truly gifted!! a hair whisperer! seriously though, I have thin hair but lots of it.. been through back surgery and two kids and had the life taken out of my hair.. yet she ALWAYS makes me feel like I was born with perfect hair..her cuts are not only very well priced (along with a scalp message :) THEY LAST! as it grows out.. the hair still looks great. She has great hair insight and always is willing to share what she knows as well. I have started some print modeling work and am happy to always brag about Rhonda :) she rocks!

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Sabrina and Crew Rock My Hair

by annamartin

I've followed Sabrina through 3 salons (the first, I was just a walk-in who got lucky). My entire family goes to her now, including my sister who FLIES IN FROM VIRGINIA. Yeah. She's that good. She does color with a great eye for depth and texture, and for me, has been particularly skilled at making thin, fine hair more interesting by cut and color alone. She listens very well, and knows my ground rules and respects them--doesn't try to change me to fit the requirements of her artistic vision. (E.g., I really need hair that can air dry from a shower with no styling at all beyond a combing and look ok, but I want hair I can pull back and do other things with from time to time, but I hate a lot of product, etc. I'm a pain! Other stylists have nodded and then given me cuts that require 30 mins. and a vat of gel and hairspray to work.) I really like this new space and how comfy but cool it is--the big windows, plants, and artwork all mesh well together. I also love how everyone here seems to get along so well--so many salons seem full of "bad energy," not to get all new-agey, but Primp's staff seem to be people who love to make people look and feel their best, not gossip or stab each other in the back. The drama in some salons can make it very uncomfy--not here! Honest, straightforward pros having a good ol' time.

Pros: parking, location, talented and empathetic staff--can even book online!

My stylist is amazing!

by berrymerry

Sabrina the owner, is a truly talented stylist. I love the way that she takes into consideration my life and who I am, and never fails to impress me with both suttle and sometimes extreme changes. She really listens, and she is a great teacher. I can actually halfway recreate what she has done when I leave. I even like the way she styles my hair...... no need to get to the car and straighten it out, she really does work magic, and I always feel beautiful and well taken care after a visit to Sabrina. Thank you

Pros: Salon is beautiful, Stumptown Coffee is right up the street.

Cons: Can't really think of one

Andrea M. is amazing!

by andimontag

If you want a stylist who needs very little guidance to give you exactly what you're looking for, make an appointment with Andrea M. She has a great personality and is gifted in finding the perfect hair color and cut to suit not only your personality, but the shape of your face as well as skin tone. Andrea M. is savvy, and is certainly not afraid to give constructive suggestions! Moreover, the prices at Primp are outrageously fair to the customer and their service is unmatched by any salon I've visited over the last four years in Portland.

Pros: Everything!

Cons: None.

by xjosiex

I have VERY long hair, and had never had a professional haircut before. Jamie and Lisa are great!!! Long layers, short layers, bangs, whatever, they can do it! Lisa also did my mom and sister, and they both are highly satisfied like me. I made the right choice, and I will be going back for more long layers =] Plus, the environment is very nice, and it's close to stumptown coffee.. Yes, my mom and I got coffee while waiting for my sisters hair to get done. =D But i twas done in good time! They are never rushed, and they give you great beauty tips!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: Can't think of any..

Summer is a hair goddess!

by TKMom

Truer words have never been spoken--Summer is a hair goddess! You will be stopped by strangers on the street to compliment your hairstyle and color! I have naturally curly hair and Summer cuts it to look great curly or straight and the color is always perfect! I have followed her for 10 years now, and by far, Primp is her best location! It is cozy, comfortable, unpretentious, welcoming, and beautiful!! A big plus, only a block and a half from Stumptown coffee, give yourself a few extra minutes to enjoy the best vanilla latte in Portland while you get the best hairstyle you have ever had.

Pros: Summer! (but everyone is really nice!)

Cons: None!
