If you have curly or wavy hair and would like a skilled stylist to enhance it, I highly recommend Tina. She specializes in curly hair, and really enjoys getting the most out of it. Her friendly personality is a bonus!

I have been going to Summer for over 4 years now and I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. Before her, I wandered from salon to salon searching for the perfect cut. Go see Summer at Primp, and you will never book with another stylist again. Summer has seen me through long layered looks all the way to my current bob. If I'm lacking direction she always has awesome and stylish ideas to help me look my best. Her skill with color is amazing. I have had random people come up to me and complement my hair. Recently my sister also started seeing Summer and loves her cut, too! If you want a professional, friendly person who will help you look your very best, book your appointment TODAY!

For several years now, Jamie has consistently done a great job on my haircuts and color. I always look great when I leave. A great salon, nice atmosphere and convenient location.

Sabrina did a great job on my hair. I had been going to a different salon and was never truly happy with the end result. I will definitely return to Primp, in fact I made another appointment before I left.

I just came back from my second visit at this hair salon. So far I have never visited a particular salon twice because I like to try new things and new places - but after Sabrina made my hair look gorgeous at my first appointment, I really wanted to go back again! \n\nI loved to color my hair with boxed hair dye in the past, I kept dying it somewhat darker because I can never get it lightened the way I want it too, so I wanted to get it professionally done. Sabrina did an amazing job, it looked natural - I'm always afraid that lightening hair will look like thick chunks of super bright highlights but she was very detailed with her coloring - I love it. \n\nThis second time has been my favorite as I cut a lot of length and added more blonde. I'm usually nervous before an extreme hair cut but I wasn't this time because I knew she would make it look awesome. I haven't worked with the other stylists but they seem very friendly as well - just a fun place! \n\nAnd as a side note - I love how there are prices on their website and they have a pamphlet up at the front desk. Most of the salons I've been to seem to keep their prices secretive and I get frightened to see what the bill ends up to be. This way I know up front and feel way more comfortable.

I love my haircut! I can't remember the last time my hair looked and felt this fresh; this could very well be the best it's ever looked!\r\n\r\nI'm simple, but particular...and with Jamie I'm always in good hands.\r\n\r\nJamie is magic! She's talented!......an excellent listener, stylist and artist. Plus she's REAL! (authentic) The kind of company you want around and trust. I wouldn't go to anyone else, ever! \r\n\r\nIf you need a super stylist, she's your super-woman. I emphatically LOVE her!! \r\n\r\nThanks so much Jamie! You're the best! (damn, I feel hot! even my ol' man noticed right away. :)

I hadn't had my hair done in about a year, and it was a complete MESS. The last time I got my hair done had been the final step in returning to blonde from black, a process which began in the Midwest, and involved a lot of pretty awful coloring processes. \n\nI showed up to Sabrina with yellow tinged hair, 5in long dirty blonde roots, darker brown tinted tips, extremely over due for a cut. \n\nShe was super friendly and not at all disparaging about the condition of my hair. I was in a really bad mood when I showed up, and had actually hoped she wouldn't be chatty. I quickly found myself being the chatty one, and was instantly in a better mood, because she is so personable.\n\nShe understood exactly what I wanted, without me having to even fully say it, so I felt comfortable and confident telling her ""just make it look good!!"" \n\nShe did an initial cream rinse to pull out some of the yellow tinge, which made such a huge difference. After the initial rinse it already looked a million times better. She used two colors to help bring it to a lighter, and more natural color, and also help minimize noticeable grow out. \n\nI told her to cut off as much as necessary to get my hair to a more healthy condition, taking into consideration I am in the process of growing my hair. She found the perfect balance.\n\nOverall my hair looks AMAZING. It looks so great that I am actually mortified I walked around looking like I did for so long. I wish I had gone to Sabrina months ago! The length is perfect, and the cut is easy to style, passing the test of still looking amazing after I washed it and styled it myself. The colors are well blended and exactly what I pictured before going in. \n\nI will definitely be back, and recommend Sabrina, and the salon in general. While Sabrina was mixing some more color for me, I had a chance to talk with another one of the stylists, who was equally friendly and pleasant to chat with.

I just returned from having my color and cut done by Andrea. She's cut my hair a few times prior to this coloring event, and I have been happy with the cut...but this color! Perfect. \r\nShe has the magic combination of technique, creativity and authenticity. Run, don't walk to have a chance to try Andrea yourself, you will\r\nbe so glad you did! Yay Andrea.

I have had my hair dresser for 15 years so when I moved I never thought I would find a stylist I loved...but I did! Jamie was FABULOUS....my hair is long and thick so it's not easy but I love my cut and color. I would recommend her to my friends.

I've been seeing Jamie since her pre-Primp days and I'm so dang in love with her. I have long, thick hair that's probably a huge pain in the a** to work with but I'm 100% thrilled with my cut and color every time I leave the salon. She gives me straightforward feedback (""Angie, I don't think you're going to be a happy gal if I give you bangs) and doesn't mess around - she knows I like to get in and out of there as quickly as possible. Get thee to Jamie's chair - you won't be disappointed.

When I first moved to Portland a few years ago, I jumped from salon to salon. Then I found Primp, and haven't been elsewhere since. I have seen both Summer and Lisa many times, and they are both absolutely wonderful and talented. The space is open and inviting with a lot of light, even on the grayest of days. I have recommended Primp Salon to tons of people and will continue to do so.\r\n\r\nThank you!

Beth P is the most amazing and skillful hairdresser I have ever had. I'm the type of woman who needs to change my hair constantly, the color, the cut, the eyebrows....I have always left Beth feeling more beautiful and sexy than when I walked in. When I serendipitously met Beth, I already had a hairdresser who was really really good, but Beth's electrifying and magnetic personality drew me in. On my first appt I told her that I want her to do what she thinks would look best. Now I have always wanted a hairdresser where I could just sit and add a bit of input, but mostly leave it up to them. Beth is the first hairdresser who is comfortable and strong enough with her skill set that she can do that. I literally let her do whatever she wants and I love it every time!. I used to spend upwards of 140$ getting my hair done and then go home and cut it more....i was never satisfied, but with Beth I don't even think of taking scissors to my hair until I see her, she even does free bang trims, if you need a little freshen up, which I always do or I will definitely break out the scissors and do something totally outlandish to my hair. Beth also really listens to what you want so if you are looking for a specific hair style or color, she'll do it perfectly. Thanks Beth P for my amazingly awesome sexy hair!

I made an appt with Beth based on some of the reviews. I asked for an A-Line Bob. The next day I noticed that one side was longer than the other and it really wasn't an A-Line Bob, the front did not fall forward as an A-Line should. Beth did offer to fix it, but it was hard to go with uneven hair. I made an appt somewhere else and the stylist said the left side of my head was a good 1/2"" longer than the right side. \r\n\r\nAlso, the back wasn't 'bobbed' at all, so she had to take another 1/2"" off the back! \r\n\r\nBeth was kind in that she offered to re-do my hair, but I could not walk around for a week with bad hair.\r\n\r\nI take responsibility for going to someone else to fix it, but it should have been done right in the first place. \r\n\r\nOn the flip side, the salon is cute and the stylist seems very kind and did handle the situation professionally.

I moved to Portland from Alexandria, Va. almost a year ago and one of the hardest things about moving was leaving my wonderful hair stylist who had been doing my hair for several years. I dreaded having to go through the awful trial and error search for someone to replace her. As luck would have it, my daughter moved here a couple of years before I did and after a number of hair disasters ,an acquaintance told her about Sabrina, the owner of Primp. When I saw how consistently great my picky ( a trait we share ) daughter's hair looked I decided to give Sabrina a try - - - and am I glad I did. My hair has never looked better. Sabrina has given me wonderful cuts and I love my color every time.\n\nPat Buckley

Walking the mean streets of Portland-feeling moppy and sloppy and sad I dared to make an appointment sight unseen at Primp. I won the lottery the day I sat in Beth's chair. My hair has never looked so swell.\nCut, devine. Color, inspired. Since my Primp experience I feel like a million bucks and still have some cash in my pocket. Beth saved my hair from boredom and eased up my mind with her witty, open and endearing conversational skills. A true blue talented hairstylist. So rad.

I came to Primp about a year ago. My hair had recently been butchered at a certain chain salon here in Portland. I was so unhappy. I had super short hair and awful layers. Over the course of a year, store owner Sabrina helped me grow my hair out. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and she paid specific attention to how my individual hair grows, so that I could get the best cut and look possible for my face and type of hair. Recently, I mentioned that I was feeling insecure about some grays that were popping up. She suggested highlights. I went through with the highlights and I am so happy that I did. She knew exactly which colors would look best on me. I was even happier to find that the cost of the highlights was half what I had been quoted for highlights at that same ""butcher block"" hair ""salon"" that I had been to before. Oh and one more thing-the people at Primp are nice!

I moved to Portland and did not have the best of luck finding a stylist. All I wanted was a certain cut and blonde highlights. I have had orange with blonde, blue with blonde, and not so great cuts etc. I spent the better part of the holidays wearing hats. I was driving down Division the other day and Primp caught my eye. I called later and explained my situation with Sabrina, the owner, and she set me up with Jaime. Jaime was so great! She listened to my hair needs and didn't rush into anything. Jaime cared about the look I was trying to achieve and ACHIEVED IT!!!! YAY! I have found my new stylist! Thank you Jaime :)

I have curly hair and it can be difficult to cut. Sabrina does a great job EVERY time! The shop is very cute and professional without being stuffy. The staff is always curteous and upbeat. The prices are VERY REASONABLE for the quality of cut and styling. It's also in an easy to get to location and there's plenty of free parking. FIVE STARS!

I have very long, thick, wavy hair and most people have not known quite what to do with it. Thankfully, I found Sabrina four years ago and she has done such an amazing job with my hair I can't imagine going anywhere else! She thins and trims my hair perfectly and it looks great for months. She is also a great person and easy to talk to. I really like the atmosphere at Primp - very warm and stylish. Anyone looking for a salon would be crazy not to give Primp a try! \r\n\r\n

I've been to see Beth at primp salon twice now and have nothing but great things to say about both visits. I am trying to grow my hair out for my wedding. This has been difficult as I am easily bored and want something new. Beth, however, has managed to ease the process and keep my on track by giving me cute cuts that add umph and style to my otherwise lifeless thick thick hair. I have already booked my next appointment at Primp and look forward to seeing Beth for years to come.

As the title says, I will keep this short.\nI needed a cut before the holidays, saw that Primp had a special going and got an appointment with Beth. I had a really nice experience with her. Beth listened to my wishes she asked lots of questions while we were working on my color and helped me to find the perfect haircut for me. Beth Pullum is a fantastic hair dresser and I look forward to seeing her again.

Beth Ann Pulliam may be new to Primp, but this girl has been cutting and coloring some of the best hair in town for years! Beth is upbeat, witty and makes the time you spend getting ""primped"" fly by. She has an interesting perspective on life, works well with any ideas I have and here is the clincher, this girl LISTENS. I love her amazing razor cuts and fun color choices.( plus I always get a kick out of what she is wearing and doing with her own hair) I have really fine limp hair and always feel like I have triple the amount of hair after her services. Beth works wonders with depth of color and layers. One really nice thing about Beth Ann is that she doesn't over style your hair she teaches you along the way and leaves you with a hair do you can recreate at home! Love her, love Primp!

Beth Pulliam has been my hair dresser for over 5 years now. I have followed her from her old salon where she always did amazing work, to Primp a charming little shop in Southeast Pdx. Beth has a knack for putting together extraordinary ideas and keeping my hair looking fresh and fun. Be it a maintenance cut/color or a completely new look, she always brings her A game and is super fun to spend a few hours with.In a town where salons and stylists are a dime a dozen this girl is a keeper!

I have been seeing Beth (aka Beth Ann) for years and she is now located at Primp. She has been my best kept secret and now I can point all of the random people who stop me on the street asking, ""Who does your hair?"" towards this adorable little salon. \n\nIf I have nothing in mind or something very specific, I always leave happy. Beth keeps my color beautiful and my cut bangin'. I have pixie-length hair and Beth will always leave me with something special and flattering. Go now!

Every time I go I feel very special. Jamie does an awesome job with my color, I also have very fine hair and she knows just what to do. They get you wine or coffee to drink and make you feel very comfortable. Jamie is a very sweet person who is fun to talk to, I really look forward to going!

I went here based on the ratings a while back. The stylist, (I don't feel the need to mention her name) saw me for the first time. I explained what i wanted and she quickly said ""got it"" and started to cut my hair. She didn't get it nor couldn't possibly for the 3 mins that I talked. Here is what was not right, she asked nothing of my hair type, how it behaves how I style it not my lifestyle. I have very long hair, a lot of it.. it waves half way down my head and seems to b thicker on the ends. ** When I go to a professional they normally take 45 mins to an hour and 20 to cut my hair. She cut it in 15 minutes!! How is this right? Result, two weeks after the haircut my hair looked as if it needed a cut again. It was not straight and quite unruly. Maybe Im use to Salons in NY and Philadelphia but a good cut should last 8 weeks. \n\nI went online and found a very high ranking stylist with may awards and many shows under their belt and got it cut three weeks later, they asked a million questions and took a little over an hour to cut my hair. Guess what? 9 weeks later my hair is still behaving. I'm only getting a cut to shorten it. That is the meaning a an excellent stylist! \n\nIt is arrogant of a stylist to think they can cut hair properly in 15 or 20 mins, and that they get you without asking many questions. \n

Tina cut and colored my hair beautifully. I have had very long hair for years and have had it colored a few times before. My hair is naturally medium to dark brown neutral. I had a vague idea that I wanted to go a little lighter, much shorter, and have a classic or romantic-looking cut. Tina described to me what she proposed to do, in detail, and also pointed out a color mistake that a previous salon had made about six months ago. Her color choice, application, and cut were all-- and I don't use this word often-- perfect. I am not a fan of highlights, especially on me; I dislike the stripey look and think they give a harsh and kitschy feel to one's style. Tina, though, gave me these precise highlights made up of individual strands of hair here and there. She took her time and was great conversation, so the three or so hours went by quickly. I am thrilled with the results; it's like getting a present every time I look in the mirror or go out. Also-- and this is important to me-- she seemed to use the right tone for my skin color. I always worry that my hair will look too coppery, even when neutral. I have checked out my hair in all lighting situations now. There is just enough warm in the hair for it to be vibrant, and it is not coppery. There seem to be cool and mostly neutral tones, all are shiny and pretty and completely natural-looking. The cut is lots and lots of fun, neither boring nor tendentiously coiffed. \n\nThe salon has no silly pretensions, just real professionalism. It is basically expensive but not overly so. It is well worth it. They are upfront and conscientious about the cost as well. I definitely recommend this salon and specifically Tina to anyone wanting a color, natural-looking highlights, or a cut.

Tina rescued my hair! My original stylist colored it blond and the roots turned orange. Before finding Tina, I went to a second stylist for a color correction who colored my hair brunette without my permission (see my other reviews). After hearing my story, Tina stayed late on a Sunday to have a consultation to make sure she could correct my color without causing further damage. She took me on and the next day, she was very generous with her time as the process had to be done over almost three hours to insure the integrity of my hair. When I saw the results, I was thrilled. It was perfect! She returned my hair to normal and I have no damage from the process. She is truly fabulous (and very fun too).

I've been going to Andrea Morrow to get my hair done since I moved to Portland about six years ago. Every so often, I've tried someone else and they just did not even compare to Andrea. I recommend EVERYONE to see her! She's so friendly and she makes sure you are always on the exact same page as far as what you want done to your hair, so there are never any mishaps! She also suggests ideas of her own and they always end up being great ones that I love in the long run. She is truly a professional and I recommend that if you're looking for a salon to go to, go to Primp. And when you go to Primp, ask for Andrea.\nThe salon itself is very cozy, clean, stylish, and inviting. The artwork on the walls is beautiful and the music is good, which is always a plus. \nThe girls are all very professional, yet very friendly, talkative, and understanding. Unlike several other salons I've been to in the Portland area, the girls at Primp really do care about doing great work. \nThis is my favorite salon I have been to.\nI highly recommend Andrea Morrow, and Primp in general, to anyone looking for a good salon to visit.

I've been seeing Sabrina for years and I can contest that she is downright the best stylist out there. After Sabrina left Bliss and was in transition for her new place to open I kept going to Bliss and getting my hair done. The girls at Bliss NEVER got my hair right. I actually had to go back several times after a color b/c it wasn't right, which they never got it right in the end. When Primp opened I came running back to Sabrina and asked her to please fix my hair. She not only got it right, she got it perfect. Some of the things I really like about Sabrina is that she gets to know you and your personality. So if you come in with a new idea for a cut or color she'll work it out with you and help you get what your after but maybe not as drastic as the picture you cut out shows. She cares about her clients and their apperance. She drives to make people feel good about themselves. I can attest that if you make an appointment with Sabrina at Primp you'll not only get a great salon experience, you'll make a good friend also.

I've been getting my hair cut at Bliss since moving to Portland several years ago. I've always had great cuts there by various stylists but I've been very curious about Primp and wanted to try them. Today I finally got my chance. Meaning no disrespect to Bliss and the talented ladies there but I will not be back! The haircuts at Primp are elevated to sheer perfection and cost $5 less! \n\nI booked a very last minute appointment with Sabrina, the owner and former co-founder of Bliss. Having just gone through a break up I wanted something drastic and different. Unfortunately for poor Sabrina I really didn't know what I wanted exactly. I came to her with my very vague wish, my concerns about my hair, but no pictures like I usually do. Sabrina was so sweet and knew exactly how to go about finding exactly what I would be happy with. She asked all the right questions, showed me some pictures of styles she was thinking about, and moved my then long hair around to give me a 'preview' of the shorter styles she had in mind. My hair hadn't been cut in about 6 months, was curly and looked like hell, but Sabrina turned it into a work of art! She even offered to do my cut in steps and check in with me along the way so she didn't take off too much. What a novel and great idea! I've never had a stylist offer that. I felt complete trust with Sabrina and it was clear she was truly concerned with making me happy and giving me the cut I wanted. Sabrina took great care and was constantly doing touchups or using a variety of different tools to get the right look. She must have gone back to do touch ups a good 4-5 times. She got it PERFECT. She also told me she likes using just enough or the right type of product to give hair texture without weighing it down and making it greasy or stiff. YES!!! So many stylists put so much product in your hair that you feel like it's pretty to look at but untouchable or that you have to wash it in a few hours to get the pound of grease out. My hair is gorgeous and I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy my beautiful blowout and style for at least 2-3 days. She worked with my hair and the cut to make sure it would work both curly and straight. It's so fun and unique and I can't wait to work with it and see all the different ways it can work.\n\nThe only negative things I have to say (and I hate to say it) is that there wasn't anyone to greet me at the door or check me in. At first I wasn't sure if maybe they hadn't received my online booking. A receptionist or maybe even a free stylist stopping to welcome me and let me know I'd be seen in a bit would have been nice. There were also 2 or 3 employees talking on the floor on their cell phones having very personal phone calls. It ruined the ambiance a bit and made it seem a bit unprofessional. Seriously though, these were very minor things and I'm sure part of the growing pains process as Primp is fairly new. Maybe there's no receptionist due to the recession? In any case, both issues are completely swept out the door and unimportant when you consider the amazing artistry, care, and technique you receive with the haircuts. I can't recommend this salon enough. It took me about half a year to trust my hair with someone once I moved to town and I'm completely converted to Sabrina and her wonderful salon, Primp.\n\nOh, and I almost forgot! It was POURING in a freak thunderstorm by the time my cut was done so Sabrina ran through the back and got me a bag to cover my head with so my beautiful cut and style wasn't ruined! I must have looked like a freak running down the sidewalk with a bag over my head, but it saved my hair. Haha, thanks, Sabrina! You're a true gem, and I can't wait to see you again!\n

I have been with Tina for sometime know, I have gray hair and it is straight, its hard to curl my hair, the perms would fall out quickly , Tina has found the best perm for my hair, it stays in for a long time know, I also have it colored , she is the best for color, I have many shades of color in my hair and since it is part gray she uses a couple of different colors at the same time to even it out and it comes out great and even all over.she worked at dirty little secrets for years but they closed this year, I would follow Tina anywhere she goes, I really like the new salon.

I have extremely curly hair and if you have curly hair you know how hard it is to find a good stylist. If you are still searching for the perfect hairdresser to rock your curls look no further than Tina at Primp. I just visited Tina in her new location at Primp (Tina is formerly of the now-closed Dirty Little Secret Salon which was known for their stylists who specialized in curly hair) and I love the new, beautiful space. Tina is friendly, energetic and fun to talk to. She sincerely loves doing hair and making people look pretty and will go the extra mile to make sure you get the cut you want. If you have curls, kiss those frizzy, strange shaped styles goodbye!\n\nP.S. I've also seen Tina's work on other textures of hair besides curls and she is equally fabulous.

I've been seeing Sabrina for about three years - when she was still at Bliss and now owns Primp. I used to hate having my hair cut! I would go home and wash my hair and cut bits and pieces off after paying someone $30 to cut it. My first cut with Sabrina was just a trim - and I didn't feel like I had to go home and do anything with it! Since then, I have had Sabrina cut my hair in many different styles and she always cuts it just the way I wanted it with hardly a direction from me. She is the definition of professional. I think that someone who knows what they are doing doesn't take long to do it - and I've never had a drippy back! I've stuck with Sabrina even after moving to Vancouver. And I'll stick with her as long as I can! Thank you for always making me look fabulous, Sabrina!

So I had read good things about Primp from this site and others so I decided to go there for my haircut. I went, despite the fact that when I asked the receptionist to recommend someone who had experience working with Asian hair, she dodged the question and said ""Um... well everyone here is a really good stylist...."" But, the scores on here made me take the chance. When I got to Primp, everything looked fine--it was nice and clean inside. I had Sabrina and first we talked about how I wanted my hair done for a little bit, and it seemed like she understood. But when she washed my hair, she didn't put a towel down for my neck and I got all wet and she definitely rushed through the shampoo job. The cut was much worse. She brushed my hair for a second, then started cutting big chunks of my hair off, very nonchalantly. She didn't cut the bottom layer first, didn't make sure it was even, and didn't even cut any of my hair with vertical strokes, like I know you're supposed to. As a result, I have a blunt looking bob that has ""volume"" in random areas, is longer on the left side than the right, and has too-long strands of hair in other places. The whole process took 15 minutes. I don't know what the rush was, but now I have to get it cut again before my first ever job interview. Maybe she can cut other peoples' hair well and just had a really really off day with me, but I won't be returning. \r\n********\r\nSo about 5 minutes after I posted this review, Sabrina called my cellphone to apologize. While I appreciate that, I felt calling me to reply to an internet review was really intrusive and intimidating. Moreover, she wasn't very polite and she bluntly implied it was my fault for not telling her I didn't like it (I didn't even realize it was uneven until I got home). But she never thought that maybe I just left because I wasn't comfortable with her fixing it! In any case, she ended the phone call by hanging up on me while I was still talking.

But she never thought that maybe I just left because I wasn't comfortable with her fixing it! In any case, she ended the phone call by hanging up on me while I was still talking.

.

I spent yesterday afternoon having my hair colored by Tina at her new location. As always it was a relaxing experience which left me feeling rejunivated. She has an amazing ability to visualize the end result even when I have trouble describing what I want. Tina has created a variety of looks for me over the past couple years and I have loved them all. I have never felt such a degree of trust and loyalty towards a stylist and wouldn't dream of seeing anyone else. Check her out she ROCKS.

Pros: Tina's creativity and presence

Tina did a great job at cutting my very curly hair. I hate finding people to cut my crazy hair and spent quit a bit of time researching places and people to find the right fit... I am so happy with Tina. She gave me a great cut and color. She listened to what I wanted and had helpful ideas/ suggestions. She is fun and makes you feel comfortable! Thanks so much Tina!

Before finding Tina, I was never committed to one stylist. I would hop around from person to person, not really understanding people that only saw one stylist exclusively. However, after Tina first cut and colored my hair several years ago, I would never go to anyone else! Not only is Tina warm, friendly, and fun, she is also extremely talented. I am constantly getting compliments on both my color and cut. She can do things with color that I thought only Hollywood stylists could do ( no kidding!). I cannot say enough good things about Tina. Primp is so lucky to have her!!

Cons: None, a great space!

Tina is new to Primp, but I have been seeing her for the last two years. I am a hair perfectionist and I hate to admit this but I was never fully satisfied with my hair until I found Tina. I like super strait hair which means the person cutting has got to be on their game with those fine layers. She is also a color master, it's like she can read minds or something when it comes to color. The color line she uses always leaves my hair shiny and luxurious. The last time she did my hair she left me feeling like a bronzed goddess. Oh and did I mention she can cut curly hair really well too. My husband has crazy curly hair and she has always made it better rather than pouffy like so many other stylist have done to him. Go see her, you wont regret it!

Pros: Great hair stylists, the owner is great

Love this salon and stylists! I've been going Summer for 3 years and she truly does the best blonde. I hate chunky haircolor and her colorweave is beautiful and natural looking. Great haircuts and advice as well. Won't do something that you will regret and gives honest feedback. Jamie is excellent, great color and cuts. I even take my husband and son here. Good parking also.

Been goin' to Sabrina since Kalista (5yrs ago), Bliss(4yrs ago), and now finally she has her own place! Good for you girl....truly gifted, and an all around good soul, you can't miss with this chick. Seasoned but not snobby, she knows her stuff and from what I can tell all the girls working there are as knowledgeable and artistic as she. If you want a great hair do, good time, and be in the presence of some real people then give these girls a call. The salon itself is beautiful, lot's of lush green plants and just really warm and inviting, great neighborhood and easy parking....always offered tea, wine, water or coffee, really feels comfy and like they appreciate my biz. And to be honest in todays economy it is important to feel like my biz is appreciated.

So I thought it time to actually write a review for Primp Salon & my hair stylist Andrea. I moved to Portland about three years ago and went to see Andrea when she was at another salon. Since then, not a single other person has been allowed to touch my hair ;-) I followed Andrea to Primp because she gets what I like and strives to give me the cut and color I am looking for. And ladies, remember to be super clear and honest with your hair stylist. They can't read your mind, even though we wish it so. So if I am wanting to try something new out - I bring pictures and we talk about it and she usually steers me the right direction if I have a kooky idea she knows won't work with my hair type. THAT is the mark of a great stylist. Listening and being creative and honest. If that's what you are looking for, then try Primp. \r\n\r\nAnd on a final note, Andrea styled my hair for my wedding just a few weeks ago and I can't tell you how many compliments I received from my friends and family. So if you're looking for a special do, I also recommend Andrea ;-) \r\n\r\nCheers!!

Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Close in SE.

Cons: none so far!

I went in based on the reviews I saw here on city search. I ended up seeing Lisa. She was very quiet and hardly talked at all, which I was a bit disappointed in. Most stylists are engaging. When she washed my hair, she got water on my face, and then got a TON of water down my shirt! She didn't stop and help me get dry or give me a towel or anything, she just kept on going, even though I told her it was now down my shirt. So, I was soaked for most of the haircut. When she was blowing out my hair, she was pulling my head so hard tears formed in my eyes. She styled my hair fine, but the cut just hasn't been good at all, and I've been wearing my hair up just about every day since then. Consequently, I do not recommend going to this place.
