Pure Nails a Natural Nail Studio

I have been to countless places looking for the perfect nail shop! This place is clean and they are professionals that do not rush you out the door and do a horrible half job just to get your money. TRY THEM OUT, you will see what I am talking about. You will not be disappointed.

Great, great, great place for nails. You will feel like a queen when you walk in. Extremely comfy chairs for pedicures, tons of magazine to read, selection of bev's, plus, chic flicks on a giant t.v. to watch while you are getting beautiful . . . can't beat it! The use mainly SpaRitual products, which I love. Very clean environment.. Great mani's and pedi's in a pampering atmosphere, it's never a bad idea to call ahead to make an appointment.

I found Pure Nails on this site, and went because it was so highly recommended. It was for my first manicure ever, having finally quit biting my nails. I had just a basic sport buff, since i couldn't decide on a polish color. I was excited about their "no chemicals" concept, and still think it's great. They make pretty much all of their products except the nail polish.

When my manicurist started on me, she didn't really say anything to me. She was watching TV over my shoulder for most of the manicure. I tried to start a conversation several times, and she would respond, and then go back to looking over my shoulder. She also was chatting with someone in the back room during my manicure. While cutting my cuticles, she also cut my finger. I didn't notice until later that my finger was bleeding. It still hurts. Also, the gloss applied to my fingers isn't evenly applied, and their are areas that don't have any shine to them.

So while I love the concept, I was less than impressed by my first manicure. I can't say I'd recommend it to anyone, except on the basis of their products.

I didnt have an appointment but stopped in to see if I could be fit in and it must have been my lucky day because I only had to wait 15 minutes! The lady that waited on me (Audrey) was very pleasant and THOROUGH! She helped me pick a dazzling color while we chatted about what I liked, disliked in regards to my nail service. (length, shape, etc.) Anyway, she did an amazing job on my hands & feet; pushing back my cuticles, massaging my feet and calves & meticulously applying my polish.

I plan to go back frequently for mid-day pampering because they are so close to my office in Downtown Austin.

If you get your nails done once a week, then I envy you. If you get them done every other week, then I still envy you. Me? I get mine done whenever I'm feeling lucky. These days I feel lucky about once a month. A fresh mani for me, then, is a very happy thing. Only problem is that happiness doesn't seem to last very long. I'm a fitness trainer so for me a typical manicure begins to chip somewhere near the end of the second day. I always look down in sadness the moment I discover that first chip, thinking 'Can't you ever stay for more than two days?' So Today I'm writing about my nails because finally I've made it past 4 days without a chip or a scratch. Today in fact marks day seven. That's right, SEVEN! And to tell you the truth these nails look just as beautiful as the day I left Pure Nails a week ago. Not only did they do a beautiful job on my nails, but the atmosphere there was very pleasant. They only use fresh, sealed, sterile tools and environmentally friendly chemicals. I felt very welcome there, and look forward to my next visit.
