My wife and I came to Bourbon Street with a couple friends to try the place out after I saw it on the local news the other day, and we are so happy that we did. This place is really great, I can't believe we've just driven past it every day all these years. They've got a great feel to the place. I ordered a steak, she had the mediterranean wrap, and my friends got jambalaya and gumbo. We were blown away, it was so good. Juicy ribeye steak, seasoned soooo nicely. I ate every last bite. My wife loved the med. wrap, in her words she said "wow". My friends also liked their orders too. The waitress was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and overall I'd give this place a 10/10.

We will definitely be coming back. If you're reading this, definitely get the steak!

I checked out bourbon street last night, and it was awesome. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and the best food I've ever had in harrisonburg. The place is really chill, and after hours, they have djs and dancing, so the girls and I had a great time. We'll definitely be back.

I thought that Bourbon Street was just a nightclub, but one of my friends told me that they're a full-service restaurant for dinner (i guess before they turn into a nightclub after 930 or something) , so I checked it out for dinner one night, and it was really awesome. I had the burger, my boyfriend had the crabcakes. Both were really good, and the waitress was this really friendly indian woman. We must've chatted for 20 minutes, she was really great.

I'll definitely be coming back!

Wow, Bourbon Street has really come a long way since last semester. We just had dinner there last night, and the food is just incredible, so much better than last semester. The service is a million times better too. And of course, the nightlife is better than ANY place in harrisonburg by a HUGE margin. Me and the girls absolutely love coming out here, especially on Wednesday Nights. Good Job Bourbon Street!

P.S. WE LOVE YOU DJ MASKELL!

I dont know where any of these other reviewers were eating, but the Bourbon St on Main that I ate at Saturday night while watching a live band was awesome! The atmosphere was great ( loved the brick walls that you can chalk you mark on) The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I had the jambalaya, and no where in the description did it say pasta. (there is no pasta in jambalaya anyway). I ate exactly what the menu described and was very pleased that is was spiced as hot as I had requested and the portion was more than ample. My sister had the crabcakes with creole remoulade appetizer. It was fantastic! the remoulade was sweet at first then it hit a different part of your tongue with a wonderful zing. The bartender was a great mixologist. I had the best Blue Motorcycle EVER. Overall, the interior is great, the food is great, the employees are great and the live entertainment was great. for a great price. What more can anyone ask?

My Girlfriend and I went here for our One Year Anniversary and it was well worth it. The food was great and we loved the atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but for a business that just started you expect a few flaws here and there. -Nothing that can't be fixed. They even gave us a complementary dessert. THANKS GUYS!!!

I gotta say. I was EXTREMELY dissapointed when I heard Bombay was closing. But I thought I'd give them a chance with their new restaurant. After all, as good as Bombay was, it wasn't bringing in money for the owners. So when they finally opened and got situated, we gave it a try. And I have never been SOOOO dissapointed. The service was horrible. A southern girl who had NO idea what she was doing. And I'm a grown man, unless your twice my age, please do not call me "sweetie". On the jambalaya dish it said it contained pasta. So we asked what kind. She said she'd check. No problem. 5 min. later she comes back and says, "well its not the macaroni kind. its more like the long kind" we said, you mean spaghetti? she says "no no, the chef says alfredo." i have NEVER in my life heard of a chef who doesn't know what fettucine is, let alone one who calls it alfredo pasta. When our food comes, it's been drenched with salt to the point where i can't even eat it. Just horrible.

The atmosphere was worse. Loud obnoxious smoking rednecks at the bar looking for cheap beer. I don't know what crowd they expect to get, but on that side of town, if you put cheap beer ads out. You get WV's finest. No offense to anyone, but this place isn't really "family friendly."

All in all I would say go if you want to just get drinks and smoke. And if your dog's hungry, you can order some of there food.

The renovations make the restaurant much more inviting, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. I would recommend the ribs which were fall off the bone delicious! Although the food may not be completely authentic they put a nice Louisiana style twist to their menu. I would also recommend the pasta jambalaya which was great!

If you are looking for cajun cooking, you won't find it here. The only difference in the old Bombay restaurant and the new Bourbon Street is the use of different names for the same dishes.

We walked into the restaurant and were told that they would not take our dinner orders until 6:00 p.m. We were told we could get something to drink. Since everyone was driving, we tried to order iced tea or coffee - guess what!! They don't have either one. I saw no etouffee on the menu, no bread pudding - nothing that would indicate that they even knew what cajun food was all about. The jambalaya tasted like a really hot (not cajun hot) chicken bryani. We saw several people walk out because by the time 6:00 rolled around, the place was getting really full - all the dinner orders hit the kitchen at one time. Too bad if you had to be somewhere at a certain time, it wasn't going to happen. You had to wait forever to get your food.

I would not recommend them.
