I was quoted 1 price and billed a 30% higher price. Trying to get a return/refund is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Must have their special return packabe(still waiting 14 days later). The customer service reps are poor at best.
JD Power gives them an award for outstanding customer support. JD Power should be embarrassed to call this companies customer support anything but poor. Just look at www.consumeraffairs.com to see the long list of dissatisfied customers.

I have to concede that most of my transactions, and there've been dozens over the two years I used them, went flawlessly and drugs often arrived within 2-3 days, well within the 7 days promised. This is how they 'earned' that second star.

Then there's their customer service for the occasional glitch. Here, too, things usually go well. But the times we remember are not the episodes where we spend twenty minutes for a well-meaning representative to pursue several avenues to handle our problems ("may I put you on hold again, sir?"), but those requiring several hours over several phone calls over spread over a few days without a satisfactory resolution.

Recently when I tried to renew a prescription, they told me it'd be about $174. I know better ?? last time it was $8.13. Repeated questions led me nowhere.
(PrSolns: "That's because you have to order a three-month supply, nothing less."
Me: "But I've been ordering two-month supplies."
PrSolns: "Oh...you can't order more than a month at a time."
I didn't make that up ?? that's a real conversation with one customer service rep.)

Solution: After several hours, give up, call physician, have him fax a prescription to Costco, pick up one-month's supply for $3.02.

So you go to the web site ?? quick question, easy answer, available in seconds, right? Try it, see for yourself. Go to the login page, enter login information.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait.
At last ?? logged in. Make an inquiry, for example, enter a drug whose price you'd like to know.
You're taken to another login page. OK, play along.
And wait.
And wait.
Finallyt...it looks like progress, you fill in the last bit of information about the drug for which you want pricing: "We are sorry. Pricing information is not available right now." You click "search" to try another med and you're taken to a login page.

Their web site? Best of luck to you.

Guess what. Yep. Having heard it hundreds of times (this is not an exaggeration ?? when you're on hold for 8 minutes, only to be put on hold again for another 5, etc., the two-minuteses add up pretty fast), I can hum it in my sleep. Both minutes.
It's a very well-known piece ?? if my classical music background were just a little better I could name it for you.

My solution? After two years of general satisfaction and a few absolutely nightmarish experiences, I bailed. I'm with another mail-order pharmacy now.

After reading the reviews defending Prescriptions, I felt that I had a few words to say about working for this company. First of all, the "advocates" that the customers speak with actually work for West Corporation (please search for reviews regarding working for West Corporation, nothing good that I could find). Next, we are graded in 6 different areas, one of which is average handling time/calls. The average handling time that an "advocate" must maintain is 5 mins if less than a year of service and 4 mins and 40 seconds if over a year of service. Hmmm, that may seem like a lot of time but in reality when dealing with seniors that really isn't enough time to adequately address their needs and concern. "Advocates" are told to tell the caller whatever it is that they want to hear just to get the caller off the phone in a timely manner.
In regards to the length of time it takes to receive the prescriptions, it is true that the prescriptions must be verified/clarified with the md. However, the customers are informed that they should be notified if theres a delay with any orders. Hmmm, that rarely happens and when it does happen seldom is there any information for the advocate to advise when a caller calls to check the status of an order.

There is more that I could write about "working" for this pitiful company, but will delay that for later. Since delay seems to be a common practice for this company. I will notify you if I choose to send more information, but hmmm that may or may not happen. Bottom line...after working for this pitiful company, one question you may have is would I use Prescripton Solutions' service. ummm.....NO!!!!!!!!!

When a new med is recvd there is a process it has to go through before it is shipped out. becasue we get thousands of requests daily its going to take longer than the local pharm ...duh... ne ways what people dont understand is that in order for a rx to be processed, there are certain guidelines that have to be met adn if they are not the rx an not be filled. at that time we attempt to contact the md for clarification. dependng on how long it takes for them to respond back, if they respond, belive me there are a lot that dont, thats when processing starts. we can assume that you are takign the same med the same way for liabilty adn your safety. so if the md dsnt put a qty, a strength. typ like pill or cap, day supply its incomplete, if threy dont sign it its incomplet. if the source is nt verifed, its incomplete. we personally have no need nor do we gain ne thing from holding your meds outside of an headache and another thing people SCREAMING AND CUSSING OUT THE PERSON WHO IS TO BE SENDING OUR YOU LIFE OR DEATH MEDS IS NT A SMART MOVE! AND DONT GET MAD IF WE DONT PERSONALLY CALL YOU EVERYTIME YOUR MED IS DUE. ITS ON YOUR BOTTLE, YOUR REFILL LIST, AUTOCALL, AND WEB IF YOU USE IT. OUTSIDE OF PUTTING IT IN YOU MOUTH, YOU HAVE A CONSTANT REMINDER. also if your upset abotu the way the copays are set, contacting our corp office wont help b/c YOUR INSURANCE SETS THE PRICES WE JUST FOLLOW IT. so after talking to them, they are goin to say call your plan...jus saving you some time. and despite what you hve read we are very dedicated to the point we talk to you all mroe that we do our family. we are work tryign to get your orders processed, listenidn to your stories getting cussed out or discriminated against goint beyound to get things corrected w planb and mdo if we can help and we get bashed! please believe i;d rather be at home w my child then listenign to you people complain,or working over 60hrs a week or battling the weather so we can be there 24 freakign hours TO SERVE YOU! so before you automatically pass the blame to use, make sure all your ducks are in a row and then we can talk about it

This company delays shipments of meds every time. I don't know if it's because they don't have enough employees to handle the load or some other reason. They say on their web site that you should receive your order within 7 days of when they receive your prescription. Don't believe it. First of all, they record the doctor's FAX as received one day after he sends it. If the cost of the drug is above a certain limit, they will call you three days later with a recorded message saying you have to pay before they ship. Then, after you finally get through to them after being placed on terminal hold, the clock finally starts. Then they place it "On Hold" for at least 7 days. It then finally moves to "In Process". It can be In Process for another 3 days and finally it's shipped. Then, of course, it's up to the post office. I've never gotten a shipment in less than two weeks and it's sometimes taken three weeks. They won't send overnight when the shipment is late due to their own fault unless you pay for the shipping. I'm in this plan because Medicare says that the AARP is the lowest cost plan for me. I'm ready to start ordering from my local drug store even if I have to pay a couple of bucks more, get my meds in 15 minutes and get away from this grief.

I can't understand how a company like this exist. Escalating a problem is almost impossible. Associate do not provide corporate office address when requested. They confirm order yet a week later they state they never received it. At the end they say they transitioning to a new software. How can one trust them???
I have over 20 different calls and I don't know who on first base.

Prescription Solutions is one of the most frustrating companies to deal with I have ever encountered. I was recently forced by doctors in our area to convert from Aetna to Secure Horizons and that was a bad move. It is almost impossible to contact Prescription Solutions by phone or email. After you go through there phone system that takes seemingly forever you find you will have to wait 45 minutes or more to talk to a human. When you finally get that human they are no help. They have never yet answered any of my emails that I have sent.
As bad as Aetna was, they are far, far superior. At least they answer their phones fast and always give you a reply by email.

Prescription solutions is not what they adverise--I went to dr on 2/9 as I just had gotten an insulin pump and was not sure which type of insulin to use--he said Humalog, which I have been injectiong for a long time--He faxed an rx to prescription solutions that day--I waiteed
for the Rx and when it did not arrive I called them-response was they
needed to know if i t was injected or used in pump--i advised and they asured me it would be set right out--when i still did not receive it I CALLED BACK--RESPONSE WAS THEY NEEDED TO KNOW IF i
I WAS USING ANOTHER COMANY--I SAID NO AND AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE SENT OUT OVERNIGHT===I STILL DID NOT
RECEIVE IT AND CALLED BACK--ADVISED DR DID NOT RETURN THE FAX THEY NEEDED TO BILL--DR SAYS HE FAXED IT BACK TWICE==TODAY I CALLED BACK AS I ONLY HAVE ENOUGH LEFT

This place is not run by people but by machine. I have a simple question about an order. I had to be the phone with a computer for a least 10 minutes, going through prompts and computer answers, only to get to a choice to talk to a human. I was then told I had a 40 minute wait until a human can talk to me! The question was about an order they screwed up according to their on-line system!.

Where physician/doctor is stated I substituted Rx Solutions pharmacy. This is the most incompetent mail order pharmacy I have every dealt with. Guaranteed to give you stress, anxiety, and anger. They may be the cheapest but the cost savings is used up by the excessive amount of time you will spend trying to get information and trying to correct their mistakes. Mistakes: They mail Rxs to the wrong address. They take 4 weeks to credit money and insurance after one returns/refuses mailed Rxs (they were mailed to the wrong address.) They ignore your request to fill 90 day Rxs only. Rxs almost always arrive late due to their requirement of receiving payment first for Rx orders over $75. They will not bill you for orders over $75. If a VISA is on file they bill directly to the VISA and then ship. 'Advocates' are regularly inconsistent with the information they give you over the phone. Advocates are powerless to do anything. I learned to bypass the advocates and speak to a supervisor. You will not be able to receive any accounting document by mail or on their website that shows you the dates and payment amounts they have received, the dates and amounts of Rxs paid, the names of the Rxs paid, and the running balance. You have to keep track yourself or trust them. Each Rx is referenced as an order # and an order # may contain more than one Rx. There are more incompetencies but this gives a good picture.
MY TIME AND MENTAL HEALTH IS WORTH MORE THAN THE COST SAVINGS THEY CAN PROVIDE ME.

The cost of their drugs are way higher than local pharmacies and in one instance triple the cost which no doubt was a fraudulent overcharge which they refused to correct.
Their customer service reps are incompetent and lack any reasonable knowledge.
Do not deal with them if you can help it

The cost of their drugs are way higher than local pharmacies and in one instance triple the cost which no doubt was a fraudulent overcharge which they refused to correct.
Their customer service reps are incompetent and lack any reasonable knowledge.
Do not deal with them if you can help it

I have to agree with Stephanie...as an ex-employee of Rx Solutions. I agree with everything she said but want to add my own two cents worth. Seriously, folks it's get's really old having you to listen to you about your insurance plan and why aren't your meds covered when your in the donut hole. Rx Solutions is not your insurance company, so if you have questions about your coverage ask your insurance provider. Do you go to your local pharmacy and annoy the heck out of them the way you annoyed us? Secondly, why on earth are you calling us when you know you can't comprehensively handle your own affairs. Get someone else to speak on your behald behalf most of you are too senial to make any sense about what exactly it is you are trying to do. Lastly, the employees are there to help with your rx orders not to socialize with you....isn't that what retirement communites are for?

Was charged full price instead of co-pays for 2 drugs until Walmart got it corrected in their system. I'm enrolled in a state program that uses Presciption Solutions. Sent in forms and receipts to get refund of about $60.00. and I was refused. Their explanation was very confusing and said the drugs aren't covered even though I now am paying just co-pays for them. I was told I could appeal but you would not believe what was involved to do that.
The State program customer service rep told me that the drugs are covered and I'm entitled to a refund but I'm not going to go though what they request to try and do it.
I feel they just want to keep my money.

OMG for the last 8 months I have been trying to get Prescription Solutions to reissue a check to my mother. My mother over paid 275 dollars and change. We received a nice letter explaining that she had been overcharges and a check. Wow sounds great doesn't it? Well when we tried to cash the check it bounced. I called Prescription Solutions and they said the check was good to try to cash it again. I did and again the check issued by Wells Fargo bounced. I called customer service twice in 2009 and my sister called twice this year and each time we received the same answer. We will reissue a check. Guess what NO CHECK. And each time the rep has no idea why. So one more phone call and off to small claims court with these unprofessional monkeys! I believe with the letter from them with the documentation they provided with the bounced bad check they are going to lose more money in paying for my attorney, filing fees etc than if they just made the darn check good. Please do yourself a favor - AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

If you want ur meds on time then you should order them ahead of time ...you have 21 days to do so, so why call 2 days before you run out?? Duh! I have been getting my husband's meds fromn prescription solution until recently. I ordered Humulin N insulin and Novolog Pens for use on a sliding scale. They called me and asked how much Novolog he would be using. I told them he's on a sliding scale and it depended on his blood sugar. This was supposed to be a 90 day supply. The Humulin insulin was right but they sent 45 Novolog Pens enough to last 4 years. The charge was $545 for the Humulin N and 2100 for the Novolog Pens. Can you believe that. He is already in the donut hole and it's only Feb. This will be the last order from them.

OMG I see I'm not the only one frustrated with RX Solutions....I have had one problem after another with them over the years....and the latest thing I noticed is that they have these African-American women from North Carolina answering the phones....and they sound like a bunch of "uneducated idiotic morons!" They can't even pronounce my address and city correctly and butchered my medication name when they tried to pronounce it. They have forgotten to send meds, have sent them late, and have also "claimed" to have never rec'd faxes from my doc who also had proof that they sent it. I go to refill a med and they tell me they have to call the doc and get back to me. 3 to 4 weeks later, I realize I'm nearly out of meds...call them back and they have no clue as to why there was a hold up! Ugh. They're not worth the money I'm saving.

We purchased Synvisc. Our insurance carrier mistakenly paid our claim payment to Prescription Solutions even though we had already paid for the script in full. In 5 weeks of phone calls to "customer service", we've yet to get Prescription Solutions to own up to their having been overpaid. Each time I call, I get a different person who doesn't know the ones I've talked with before. This latest adventure with the company mirrors our experience with them a few months ago when we needed to get a receipt for our payment. They are a nightmare bureacracy when faced with anything that requires true customer service. I can only imagine that such behavior is intentional. They are not threatened by customer dissatisfaction or anger. I will avoid them at all costs from now on.

Customer service is the luck of the draw. If you get Garcelle, ask for somebody else before you even get started. She is nasty and will definitely mess your order up. Prescription Solutions gets an unsatisfactory from me just for her conduct alone.

our insurance co requires us to use them if we want discounted 3 months prescriptions.at this moment i'm trying to straighten out with them why they lost a script faxed from our doctor's office 6 days ago. the doc has a confimed receipt of this fax. the customer service person i spoke with, aisha, was rude and defensive plus she gave out misinformation. i had to speak to a supervisior. bottom line, the doc has to resend the fax.this is the 2nd consecutive order in which problems occurred.in june a more serious error happened. a reorder of a prescription was phoned in, it's number and name/dosage was given to & then repeated by the operator. several days later a WRONG prescription was received! upon calling them to let them know of the error their person said my account would not be charged for the wrong drug (you bet or they would not be paid) and the right prescription would be mailed. the attitude of their phone person was one of total lack of caring re the damage that could be caused by their error or the seriousness of their error. this is in my opinion a terribly inept operation, from the phone people you deal with on the customer service side (not the ones you speak to inorder to place an order who try to be courteous) and their pharmacy people. they appear to lack the ability to process items correctly and to do business in a professional manner.my advise would be to avoid doing business with them if you can. i've already lodged a complaint with our health insurance carrier and if enough people do so perhaps they will change their mail order pharmacy.

And God forbid something should happen they have got a clue as to how to resolve it in a quick and timely fashion. Every month or three, I call to order medications, and they tell me how much money to send. In a week they have my check, but by then the prices have changed, and they do not send a bill except with the order, and they won't send the order if the bill says you owe money. We have had pain medicine held up for two weeks over a $2 balance. Not once does our order get messed up, EVERY time. Today I spoke with a friendly supervisor who could not fix anything either. But at least this time he will send the $60 drug I ordered Feb 28 (today is April 16), but why the hold, I don't know. Our account has a $183 credit on it, so that wasn't the problem.

Prescription Solutions is a mail order pharmacy . Their staff are very helpful and organized and if the staff person you are dealing with doesn't have the answers to your questions, they will find someone who does. Their ordering process is efficient and I have never had an error with any of my medications. If you get the chance to use them, I am sure you will be pleased with their service.
