i hadn't gotten a massage in years (i had a few bad experiences) but found myself with quite a bit of foot pain and swelling in my 6th month of pregnancy. Donna did an amazing job! She knew the limitations of prenatal massage and was very aware of some the typical ailments. She knew i was nervous about getting back into massage, so she asked a lot of questions, walked me through everything before she did it, really put me at ease. My foot pain was fixed in 3 sessions and i continue to see Donna for the stress that carrying a baby puts on your back.

Donna does such a super job. I started seeing her because I was having back pain. Less than 20 minutes into my first treatment Donna recognized that my problem was not in my back, but rather in my hips. She's been helping me loosen up my hip flexors, has helped me with stretches I can do on my own so I can keep increasing my flexibility in between appointments. I love how she listens to what I'm saying and figures out how to help me. It's so obvious that she cares about what she does!

Donna is amazing. She has a firm healing touch and seems to intuitively know where tension is. I have had many, many massage therapists before and Donna is the best. Not to mention if you like to talk during a massage she is very funny and insightful too. Whenever I have any sort of injuries from dance or any other activity I like to do, Donna gives me relief from the pain and a faster healing time *while enabling me to do what I have to do*. Try Donna once and you won't go anywhere else. I like her deep tissue myself.

Donna does amazing work! She offers a complete, full-body massage that's tailored to your individual needs and condition. I have chronic neck/shoulder pain, and after a session with her, I'm feeling lose, relaxed, and pain-free. Her knowledge of the body is extensive and her hands are intuitive. An hour-long massage by Donna is very affordable, especially with her monthly "wellness" plan (which I have yet to see offered by other massage therapists in the area). And the range of muscles she massages goes above and beyond what other massage therapists normally work on during their regular "one-hour deal." You get far more than your average shoulder rub at Thrive. The works - hand, scalp, and facial massage, joint-realignment and pressure points, besides the usual muscle groups that carry stress! She can work out any kinks or imbalances you might have. In a fast-paced, go-society, a little bit of regular retreat and rejuvenation is key to keeping you active and healthy. Take care of your body and mind, and let yourself truly unwind and re-balance with a massage by Donna.

Donna is the best of the best. I am actually addicted, because how amazing I feel for days and weeks after each session. I have a very active job and lifestyle, which lends at times to intense body tightness or even injury. I have been to over 100 massage therapists and none has had the skill of Donna. She is the Yoda master of massage, because all she can find and release any tension, stress or tightness in your muscles within minutes. If you are athletic, have chronic pain or need to work out some tension, go see her, your body will thank you.

Donna is great. I have the chronic computer neck and back pain issue that a lot of people have. She is very attentive and is really great at finding the source of the pain, not just rubbing some oil on my back. She is highly knowledgeable in body physiology and can track my pinkie numbness all the way back to my shoulder. I'm really grateful that I found her being so new to Portland. I thought my last massage therapist was good. Donna blew her out of the water. If you are a chronic pain sufferer Donna will work with you to minimize it as much as possible. Also, her membership program makes it easy to afford monthly massage.

Pros: Donna's unmatchable skills

Cons: The therapy room is adjacent with a fitness studio so it can be loud and distracting.

Donna is an amazing massage therapist! I've had low back trouble for years, and tried everything to cure it - chiropractic, acupuncture, yoga - all of these things helped, but did not stop the issue from recurring on a regular basis. One session with Donna and all of that changed! Its been a few months since that first visit, and no back pain in sight! I have a very active career teaching Power Yoga, and Donna has continued to be a valuable resource in my life and practice, I don't know what I'd do without her!
