fancy restaurant 4 Star Rating - Very good

Really nice fancy restaurant. Unlike many fancy restaurant this place doesn't seem to carry to much hoity-toity-ness because the service is still friendly and attentive without looking down on you.

everything was excellently prepared and presented 4 Star Rating - Very good

Though it was the the most expensive 2-person meal I have ever enjoyed (or at least paid for!) I cannot say I regret a single cent. Everything was excellently prepared and presented, and many things were thoughtful and surprising. Professional yet warm service.

I'm sure I'll desperately wish it was a cheaper experience when it comes time to pay my rent next month.

Pros: food,service
Cons: pricey

Different in a good way 4 Star Rating - Very good

I see mixed reviews on here so I was confused whether to try this place or not. I decided to try it because I loved the decor and the menu sounded so interesting. I love trying new food but I was afraid because I don't like Indian. I was pleasantly suprised. The food was great. The crab and pasta appetizer was amazing. The staff was soooo nice and the bartender was a doll. My only complaint would be the drinks could be a bit more potent and prices a bit lower but that's NYC.

Pros: Food, Ambiance
Cons: Weak drinks, could be priced a little lower

very disappointing. 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

seriously, i was surprised by all the great reviews. actually, i had super high hopes in this restaurant and was more surprised by how dissapointed i was! our waitress was really sweet but i felt really bad for the stupid dress she and the other female servers were forced to wear! our drinks were promising- i had something with st. germain and egg white and soda.... and my boyfriend had a zombie drink (apparently the actual name of the drink isn't allowed by citysearch for some stupid reason) that was super strong ( only one allowed per customer...but it's served in an awkward tiki glass). our first appetizers were also good- samosas with rabbit and absolutely delicious pigs feet. but then we got greedy and ordered more apps... sweetbreads that were coated in pink peppercorns... the sweetbreads were tasteless and except for the peppercorns, all of the textures in the dish were identical... and gross. then for entrees we had duck and the matter paneer... both super dissapointing. the duck was very cold and covered in super limp spinach... the matter paneer was seriously chunks of ricotta with the most boring sauce ever and very very soggy peas and carrots. seriously, it's been like 20 years since i've had veggies that soggy.... the last time was baby food... when i was a baby. we were so unhappy with our cold entrees that we didn't even want to look at dessert menus. furthermore, with an open kitchen, it was amazing how unhappy and sullen the kitchen staff appeared... and also how confused they all looked! i'd come back here only for the drinks and a few of the first course items... but with all the other restaurants in nyc i haven't tried yet, that won't be anytime soon.

Pros: service, decor, drinks
Cons: food, price for bad food...
