I've been going to Snellville Pediatrics since we moved to the area 9 years ago. The doctors there are great (namely Dr. Mahon & Dr. Deganian) but over time I think they have grown too large. The wait times are bad, but the attitude of the staff is what really has turned me off. Twice I have actually had to request different nurses after the ones we were assigned made rude & condescending comments. Last year my oldest son was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, and so we needed to call in to get prescription refills on a monthly basis. This is done via a message system where they indicate it will take 24-48 hours to have it filled and then they will call you back to let you know it's ready. The first time, I called and left a message and after 4 days, no one had called. I went up to the office to inquire about it, and it wasn't filled. The person at the front desk rudely scolded me and told me I "needed to wait for a call back before coming to the office". After another 3 days (and by then he was down to one pill), still no call back. I go to the office and pick up the prescription only to find out (via the date on the prescription) it was written the day after I called the first time. Subsequent calls to get refills were NEVER returned, so I had to just assume when it might be ready. The nurses/clerks at the front desk are unfriendly (for example, I was greeted with a "Yes?!" just for standing at the window after signing in for an appointment). The staff is ruining the reputation of great and well-established physicians. My children's previous appointments will definitely be the last.

After waiting in the lobby for an hour with my newborn for nothing more than a weight check we finally chose to find a new pediatrician! They have more patients than they can handle. The Doctors were fine but the staff was horrible. It would take up to 30 min to make an appointment by phone as they sent you from person to person only to end up with a voice mail system and no return call. Never was able to schedule my child's flu shot. after leaving two messages I tried to make an appointment in person only to be told that I could not do that I had to call!

I no longer go there because of the long waits and how they double book clients. The doctors were fine there but the wait was not worth it. It is always at least one hour in the waiting room and expect more time in the exam room waiting too.
