My family go to this restaurant as often as we can. They have a wonderful selection of melt in your mouth pastas. They're all very good. They have wonderful salads and yummy Italian bread too! Save room for dessert!! You have never tasted Tira Missu like Agio's restaurant has. It's simply wonderful!
Our family was doing the typical Disneyland vacation and we were looking for the not so typical place for dinner. We stumbled upon Agio and our 13 yr old daughter chose the place based upon the menu. As soon as we walked in the first thing we noticed was the atmosphere; quiet, relaxing but family friendly. Next, was our server, Joel-he embodied excellence. He was efficient but not pushy. He added to the atmosphere by always being in the right place at the right moment. Finally, the food-the food was to die for. We all had a little of everything. From appetizers to something off of the kid's menu (which by the way was free). Everything was delicious. We started with the tasting platter appetizer which consisted of calamari, bruschetta and spinach artichoke dip-all were cooked to perfection and were the right portion size. We were also served bread with balsamic vinegar and oil along with pesto while we waited and that was magnificant! My youngest daughter ordered quesadillas off of the kid's menu and they brought it out along with our salads so she could start eating right away (very considerate, I thought). I ordered Capellini pasta which is angel hair pasta with pine nuts and then I added jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were really jumbo shrimp, too not little bitty things like some restaurants add. It was more than I could finish and it was so delicious. My 13yr old daughter ordered chicken paremesan and it was wonderful. It was two nice size breasts of chicken with a wonderful breading served on a bed of angel hair pasta and the chicken breasts melted in your mouth. She was in heaven. My husband ordered the market inspired fish which was Sea Bass and it was the most heavenly piece of meat we have ever tasted. It literally melted like butter. It was served with a soybean risotto and a sweet cucumber mix. Our daughters who don't care for fish loved it! Finally, because the dinner was so fabulous we had to try dessert, so we had the chocolate pyramid and the tiramisu. We weren't disappointed. It was a great way to end the dinner. Needless to say, there was no dessert left to take home-but there was some dinner left for the fridge AND we did go back the next night for more of the excellent food and service. We were blessed to meet the chef, JC so be sure he is the one cooking and Joel is your table attendant! Sadly, we do not live in California so we had to leave this wonderful restaurant behind. But we will return the next time we are in Anaheim and we recommend this place to anyone who visits southern CA.
