I was having back pain-had gone on for several months. Tried massage therapy; went to a chiropractor twice a week for a month. I got absolutely no relief. One massage therapist I had recommended I try the Kati Basti at Pranaa. After the first visit, I actually felt better. It took a few visits until I was pain-free, but I was: PAIN FREE. And to stay that way, I go back every few months just so my back doesn't get out of sorts again.

Kati Basti is a back treatment where a bowl is built on your back. It is then filled with warm oils; the oils are removed as they cool and more are added. At the end, your muscles are warmed and relaxed.

I have tried both of the therapists, and I like them both, although I do see Ritu Bhalla the most. But I can recommend them both, especially for the Kati Basti.

I have tried some of the other treatments as well. Shirodhara is having warm oil that is drizzled on your forehead (plan on showering before going back to work or out on the town). Swedana is very pleasant on these cold winter days - your body is in a steam tent that is very relaxing. I haven't tried them all, but there is a list at their web site pranaa.com

There are also yoga classes (all levels) available at Pranaa in addition to other spa treatments.

So if you have a back problem (actually the Kati Basti will work for other parts of the body as well), want some pampering, or just to try a new approach to body/mind, I would recommend you give Pranaa a try. The doctor or doctors seem to have mental problems themselves. English is poor. she stares like she's having a panic attack and their ugly as hell. Why don't they perform ayurveda on themselves first
