After a MVA, I located a vehicle to purchase at Auction Direct in Raleigh. My sales associate offered that I could put $100.00 down to hold the car for 3 days while we ironed out the insurance details. During the 3 day time period, my husband unsuccessfully tried to sit and drive a similar vehicle; FYI: the vehicle is a smaller SUV and he is 6'6". He didn't fit which never crossed my mind. I contacted my sales associate via cell and email, and she had the audacity to send me a completely inappropriately NASTY email in return. Seriously???? I was nothing but pleasant and inquired if there was anything else in our price range. I will be contacting the service manager so he can deal internally with Ms. Nastyness.
Ironically, the sales associate's last name is quite fitting as she was moody as all get out.I won't be back.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. THEY ARE A SCAM! All set to trade in and buy new car from them, but when I started questioning the warranty it went downhill fast. Wanted to buy extended warranty and was told that computer made "mistake in my favor" and I was super lucky to get a great warranty for half of what I should pay. Come to find out that sales manager knew it was a mistake (from the first minute) and knew that warranty co could revoke warranty at any time should it ever figure it out, leaving me with potentially thousands of dollars worth of repairs. He told the salesperson to tell me this, and the salesperson WILLINGLY CHOSE NOT TO DISCLOSE THIS INFO TO ME. When confronted with this situation the salesperson did not deny it, and acted like he could not care less. The sales mgr acted like he was doing me a favor by "gambling" a $22,000 car paid for with familys very hard earned money by saving me less than a thousand dollars on a warranty that was not even legitimate. Was also then told that this had happened "a handful of times, and only one had ever been revoked". So... they knew it was wrong, they tried to sell it anyway, they had done it before, they will do it again. Needless to say I told them where they could stick thier "gamble" and they lost a customer. BEWARE!!!
I bought a 2008 kia rio from the raleigh store, and it was the biggest mistake. Yeah at first they make you feel welcome, and you really do enjoy the experience. But i basically wasted 11000 dollars on a good experience. As soon as i got the car, the rain guard started falling off, and the trunk lever was broke. Then the brakes started making a god awful noise, in which they claim is "normal". Then my 4 cyclinder car started getting 12 miles to the gallon and now ive spent the last month and a half, at the kia dealership trying to figure out why. MY ADVICE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

When I bought my last used vehicle 5 years ago, Auction Direct was not yet here in the Triangle. After buying a used car from them last week, I don't know why anyone would buy a used vehicle from anywhere else! I did my research ahead of time and narrowed my search for an SUV to either a Toyota Highlander or a Honda Pilot. I started at Autotrader.com to determine what these two cars were selling for in a 75 mile radius of Raleigh. Then I went to Auction Direct USA. What an amazing place! Clean, comfortable, friendly receptionist, it had the feel of "no pressure." A trait that my past experiences with dealerships lacked. Then I met my sales associate John Turner. I have to say, that I have met my fair share of car salesmen, but, after meeting John Turner and shopping at Auction Direct USA, my stressful "car buying" stereotype was shattered. John directed me to both the SUV's I was interested in and had me test drive them to be sure which one what I wanted. After I chose the Honda Pilot, we started checking the vast inventory of all 4 of their locations. Unfortunately I could not find one in my mileage or price range. Here is why EVERYONE should buy from Auction Direct, John had me fill out an order form. I listed everything I wanted including my price, years and mileage. Then with a "no obligation" deposit, he submitted it to the cooperate office. That very same day a buyer called me and said he found me a car that was coming up on auction in the next two hours. I got emailed photos of the car with all the specs. It looked promising so I told them to "go for it". Well needless to say he got it, and for $300 less than our top price. Then it was off to Raleigh, where it underwent a THOROUGH 85 point inspection and an amazing detailing job by their team. John called me in, handed me the keys and said: "you have 3 days or 500 miles, enjoy!" And off I went. Well I certainly didn't need that much time to decide. I went straight to my mechanic, and after a half hour of inspecting the integrity of the vehicle and a positive "thumbs up", it was off to pick up my wife and daughter for an afternoon spin and ice cream. With my paperwork in tow, I sat down with John the next evening and said 'let's do it'. He asked me "if everything was to my liking, because if not, we can get the ball rolling and find you another"? I had done my research and with John and his team at Auction Direct USA, it was not necessary. This was the car I wanted. 25 min. later, I left with the exact car I was interested in and at an amazing price. Thanks John Turner, and Thank you Auction Direct!
I recently purchased a Hyundai Sante Fe at Auction Direct. It was a very pleasant experience. No high pressure and haggling about price. I felt that I got a very fair deal. My salesman, Alex, was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I have already recommended Alex and Auction Direct to my friends!
I have personally bought two cars at Auction Direct, a 2007 Saturn Outlook and a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. My girlfriend also bought a Scion TC there. We both dealt with Manny Saint-Lot and he was one of the best salespeople I have done business with. He was endlessly patient while I tried out almost every car on the lot and he responds to phone calls and emails extremely quickly and efficiently. Most of all I felt like he really wanted to help me find the right car for me and not just make a sale. He has followed up with myself and my girlfriend after the sale to make sure we are happy with our purchases. I would highly recommend Manny and the rest of the Auction Direct team to anyone looking for a car in the Triangle.
We have been to a few dealers in the last couple weeks. Since it's our first time buying a car and getting a loan, that became the big obstacle. Auction Direct USA was the only dealership that really took the time to call banks individually to make a deal and get us a loan. Thanks to the hard work of Alex Rivera and Brandon Olds, we are driving off the lot with a 2008 Hyundai Accent which is far better than we ever expected. I suggest everyone visit Auction Direct USA if they are looking for a nice car with a good service experience.
My and I husband had the BEST EVER car buying experience. We went to several other car dealers and really got a bad run around. When we came to Auto Direct, the moment we walked into the door, the atomosphere was warm and inviting. The people who help us, Alex Rivera and Brandon Olds are super. We got a great car, but our best experience was the friendliness of them. We left Auto Direct knowing we had obtained more friends into our circle of life and they will forever be remembered for their great service and willingness to make things happen for us. I would recommend Auction Driect, Alex, & Brandon to everyone who is in the market of purchasing a car. I promise if you go and ask for Alex & Brandon and you will be extremely happy with your purchase. I promise you will be forever grateful!
We found the exact color and style of car my wife wanted. She was very happy. The sales consultant Manny Saint-lot and the team was very helpful with the financing options and got us a better rate than we were able to get from our own resources. Manny has followed up continuosly and we have been very satisfied with our dealing with Aution Direct USA!
We had a wonderful car buying expereince with Auction Direct and I would (and have) highly recommend them to friends and family. Manny was a pleasure to work with and made the process very easy. I recently went back for service and have nothing but great things to say about the service department.
Manny, my sales rep was very knowledgeable about the whole process. He made me feel comfortable with my car buying experience. The staff there are very polite and the atmosphere is very chill. No pressure was applied for me to buy a car. I highly recommend buying from these people.
Personal service, without the pushy sales pitch. Manny Saint-lot treated us like we were part of the "family". He was very patient with my wife while she decided on which model to buy. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a low mileage, used car. And we will definitely go back there for our next car. And bye the way, the prices are the best in the Triangle.
My experience at Auction Direct has been great since day one. I purchased a used SUV in October 2010 from Alex Rivera. Alex was very helpful when it came to deciding on which car would be best for my needs. Since then I have had a few issues and unlike most used car dealers Auction Direct has done everything in their power to make sure everything has been fixed and that I have no further problems. I would like to give a big thank you to Timmy Roberson, Brandon Olds, and Alex Rivera for making sure my experience at Auction Direct is a positive one. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a positive, hassle free used car buying experience.
Like Carmax, but prices are better :-)
They shipped the car for me from New York to North Carolina for a refundable fee, I got several days of no questions asked return policy, and a warranty long enough to fix things should the vehicle be a lemon.
The sales people aren't just "low pressure" they are "no pressure".
What's not to like? They have a wining formula going there.
I bought a used SUV back in August 2010 from Auction Direct. I wanted to say that they were by far the best place that I ever bought a car from. I usually hate going to the car dealerships because I get "the run around", but they worked with me and helped me get what I was looking for. They also have the best prices! The Toyota that I wanted was about $1500 less than the one that was across the street at the big dealership. I would highly recommend you check them out.
Oh and don't forget to ask for Manny, he really was the best!
I was a first time car buyer and a girl at that!! I was extremely apprehensive to begin the car buying experience as I thought some sleezy car salesman would for sure take advantage of the fact that I was a young girl. I was most definitely proven wrong at Auction Direct. Manny Saint-Lot was the salesman that I dealt with and could not have asked for a better experience!!! It took me over a week to make a decision on a car and I ended up having one shipped from another location. During this time he did not call me or email me or bug me in any way. He let me work at my own pace as this was a really big decision for me. The no-haggle prices concerned me until I checked the Kelly Blue Book value and realized that I was saving a few thousand dollars. I have recommended Auction Direct to a few of my friends and family!! Ask for Manny!!
My experience with Auction Direct was absolutely outstanding. This was the first time that I ever bought a car out of state, and technically sight unseen. But because of the managers (sorry I can't remember your name) more than willingness to accomodate my every request, my stress level remained fairly low from the time that I told him over the phone I wanted the car to the time I finally set eyes on it. I live in CO and the car was in Raleigh N.C. so I wanted to be absolutely sure that this was the car for me. Online there were 30+ great pictures of the car so I was able to really see what kind of shape it was in asthetically. But I wanted to have a pretty damn good Idea what kind of shape it was in mechanically before I made the 1700+ mile trip, so the manager graciously offered to have Manny take it to the local Ford dealership to have it completely inspected front to back top to bottom. Once Manny was put in charge of taking care of me he kept in constant contact with me to keep me updated. He even called me from the dealership on his personal cell and put the service manager on so that I could explain exactly what I wanted to have done. Manny also offered to pick my wife and I up at the airport which incidently would have been at 2 Oclock in the morning thanks to delayed flights. We were able to make other provisions to get to the hotel from the airport so Manny didn't have to do that, but there is no doubt in my mind that he would have if we needed him to. But he did pick us up from the hotel that morning in our beautiful 04' Excursion which we love. The car was exactly as it was described with the exception of the non-operation of the passenger side second row seat. But the service did not stop there, Aution Direct offered to have there mechanics repair the seat if they could. But because my wife and I new that we had a 1700+ mile trip ahead of us we opted to not take them up on their offer. But we did ask that they buy us a couple of tanks of gas which in a 30+ gal tank that equated to almost $300 bucks. Thank you to Manny and the manager at Auction Direct USA Raleigh, N.C.
I would like to comment about my experience with Auction Direct USA in Raleigh, NC. Rarely do you find a company so willing to help you find the car you are looking for and deliver it with no problems whatsoever. The entire staff there was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to find what I was looking for. I would especially like to commend general sales manager Tim Roberson for renewing my faith in companies and proving that friendly and helpful service is still available. They have exceeded my expectations and I will certainly deal only with them in the future.
MY car buying experience at Auction Direct usa in raleigh nc, was by far the best experience buying a car that i had ever encountered!
I liked it so much i did it twice, The sales associate really took time in finding what my familys needs where in a vehicle and then showed me several options that fit those needs. After an exciting
test drive, he assisted us by helping us research our decision. He even showed us prices from other local dealers incomparison with theirs. They where absolutely the lowest the price! We were very hesatent to fiance with any car dealers due to previous experiences.
After consulting with the Genral Sales Manager Tim Roberson we decided to fiance with them he made us feel very comfortable with the information that he provied and even beat our own banks rates.I jujust want to say that Auction Direct USA truley is a world class company and give great thanks to Jay and Tim for thier tremendous help. They now have a customer for life! Thank you from Christine
I came in not really aware of what my options were. I was trying to spend 15k in my mind because I thought that was all I could afford for the payment I wanted to be at. Once my salesperson, Jay, sat me down and went over my scenario, he educated me to the fact that I could buy a car around 18k or so. I was so very happy because I have been finding it difficult to find a car in the 15k price range. I am not a person to buy on the spot, it's just not in my nature. I didn't know if Jay was pulling my leg to get me "happy" on a vehicle and then surprise me with the true payment. But, he really seemed honest and the sales manager that came to speak to me while I had been there really seemed to care about what I wanted, not what he wanted me to do. So, I went back a couple of days later, found a car for 18,900 and, believe it or not, my payment ended up being 20.00 less per month than what I wanted. I could not believe how friendly, honest, and easy it was to deal with a car dealership. I left with a smile on my face and I am still smiling. I would recommend this dealership to anybody looking to buy a vehicle. They really have earned my business for now and in the future.
DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER!!
Back in December I found a car that I really wanted on Autotrader.com and called Auction Direct to ask more questions about the vehicle. I specifically wanted black interior and there were no photos of the car. The guy told me he'd walk to the back and check to see the color. He called me back and told me that it was in fact black. I then started asking questions about the car (does it have a navigation system, scratches, etc). He told me yes it has a navigation system and it is the premium package and answered everything I needed. I was flying to NC from Atlanta so I had to be sure. Everything was set. I then spoke with the manager to put down a deposit so that I could come get the car the next weekend, booked my flight, and went. They picked me up in Raleigh and took me to my car. Looks great, except I opened the door and it was TAN not BLACK. There was also no navigation system. The interior looked terrible. They asked me who told me about the car and I gave them the name and it turned out to be a guy in NEW YORK THAT HAD NEVER SEEN THE CAR IN HIS LIFE! He was lying to be the whole time about what the car looked like just to make a damn sale! After all that, these people still tried to sell me the car!!! I finally just made them take me back to the airport and after $500 I had wasted a day and got no car. After bitching to the managers and owners I got them to pay for my flight back, but I still would NEVER trust these people. DO NOT buy a car here. Go somewhere else!

I have lost a lot of respect Auctions Direct. When researching online you are asked to feel out questions and explain exactly what you want. They then call and setup an appointment. When we got there the person we scheduled the appointment with had not read our report. They essentially wasted our time. I am not upset they couldn't do the deal, but upset they were not honest up front. They still had us come come in like any other used car salesman would. =(

I bought two honda accords from this place and have not had any problems with either car. I had both checked out uder the hood by a freind and all was good. However do look at ALL the paper work becuase they gave me a extended warranty for 2,000.00. And did no want it. But you can cancel it. I trust their cars plus know a guy who can check the engine with a computer so No need for the warranty. Everyone was very polite and professional. Loved my accords. may buy another from them.
I have been shopping for weeks and keep getting the typical car dealership game of "salesperson to manager" etc. I am tired of this! I was leaving Carmax and saw Auction Direct on my way home. I went thru the front door with the same feeling I have had at all of the other dealerships the past week. To make a long story short.....I bought a car from auction direct and had the greatest experience I have ever had buying a car. There were no games or gimmiks. My salesperson actually seemed to have my best interests in mind. His name was Steven and he did not care that I was buying a $10,000 and under car. He was great. His sales manager Brandon was even more accomidating when we got to the "numbers part" of the purrchase. They treated me with respect and did not try to pressure me. I definitely recommend Auction Direct!

I purchased 2006 BMW 530 from Auction Direct USA on March, 2008. It had clean car fax report and low miles so I was very excited and purchased the vehicle for asking price. After one year went by and I wanted to trade this car in with another car at a different dealer. The dealer priced it real low with reason that the vehicle had been repainted. I took the car back to Auction Direct and told them that they sold me a wrecked car. At first they refused but after when I told them that two different dealers had given me same comments about the condition then later they admitted that the car had been repainted but they also mentioned they did not have to disclose it as they are were not legally bound to it.
I learned not to trust them again and also learned not to completely trust car fax report either.

I bought a Honda Accord in the beginning of May. When I purchased the vehicle my sales person and I noticed that I did not have a manual or a keyless entry. He and the manager both assured me that they would order these items and have our parts dept call when they come in.
The very next day, I received a call from Tom in the parts dept telling me the order has been placed and when to expect a follow up call to program vehicle to my keyless entry.
My only complaint is that I would of liked to have a manual and keyless entry at time of when I bought my Accord but I thought Auction Direct handled my issue in a very professional manor.
I now have items that was promised.

Been shopping for a vehicle for a week. I've had both good, bad, and ok experiences with the 3 car places I went to before I stopped at Auction Direct.
What I noticed most that stands out to me is my sales person. He took his time with me when I drove three different vehicles.
Decisions like this never came easy for me. So when I found a place like Auction Direct patiently help me find the right vehicle for my family and I, it should be recognized.
I bought a Buick Rendezvous with a third row that I love.
I will not comment negatively unless this matter is not resolved. My adventure with Auction Direct started in February and is still going on. The salesman was nice; basically everyone is. During the process, I overheard something about my "deal" and immediately insisted that it wasn't part of my deal. That was settled. The frantic part for me was the signing of paperwork. In comparison, I closed on a refi of my house and the closer went through all 150 pages that I had to sign. My car signing was a rush as noted by the witness signature which is totally illegible. Maybe a word or two was said during the signing. My excitement level was very high as I was leaving with a car I wasn't even considering. It was a total surprise and I am happy for it. I love my 2007 Red Mustang Convertible GT.
BUT AND THE BIG BUT! BUYER BEWARE AND LOOK CAREFULLY AT ALL PAPERS YOU SIGN, ESPECIALLY THOSE CONCERNING WARRANTIES THAT WILL ADD THOUSANDS TO YOUR CAR PRICE AND IT WILL BE FINANCED OVER THE TERM OF THE LOAN!
Also make sure products you pay for in these warranties can be verified.
NOTE TO AUCTION DIRECT. PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING BY RESPONDING TO MY CONCERNS.

This company employs deceptive sales tactics in its advertising & negotiations. We purchased a 1 year old vehicle for approximately $30k, less than 1 year ago & were misled throughout. Unfortunately, we trusted the AutoCheck report, the info provided by the salesperson, the multi point inspection report from Auction Direct, & the test drive.
The vehicle has been into our local dealer on numerous occasions since our purchase. Clips on quarter panels have "popped" loose from previous undisclosed damage, after only a couple of months. The rotors on the vehicle were shot at 17k miles. We purchased the vehicle w/14k, dealer warranty only covers to 15k. Other problems have also been uncovered.
Ultimately, we ended up paying slightly below retail price for a pig w/lipstick. Auction Direct USA's statements regarding the vehicle were consistently misleading. Nothing negative was ever disclosed by anyone, @ any time, during the process. Needless to say, I will never buy another car from Auction Direct USA.
I bought a ywo year old ford fusion and I love the car. I got a very good deal, my sales person was very knowledgeable and he even introduced me to the service manager. the service manager took the time to explain their hours and proceedures. I will go there for all of my maintenance services and they even offer detailing for a reasonable price. It does not make sense to me to purchase a new car when I can get a two year old car with only 20,000 miles on it and it looks like new. I saved litterally thousands of dollars off the new car price and my neighbors all think i bought a new car. Thanks auction direct. (raleigh NC)
You can get a great deal on a car at Auction Direct but that's where the deal ends! I've had some of the worst experience trying to get my car serviced. I have had a hard time getting through to someone and had to leave a message about my issue on a few occasions which was pointless because I was never called back. When I do get someone on the phone they're extremely polite and take my appointment yet give you no idea how long it will take to have the work completed and don't seem to have a problem with you sitting and waiting for the majority of day. Worst case experience: I made an appointment, when it was time to bring the car in 2 days later, they held it for nearly 6 hours and only after I called them to check on the status did they tell me they can't do they work! If you tell them what you want done when making the appointment, shouldn't they be able to tell you if they can do the work then??? You may be able to get a decent car Auction Direct, but if you like feeling like the company you buy from actually cares about you business once you've bought the car, GO ELSEWHERE!
The dealer closed before I could get the wash/dent removal I was promised by the salesman. In addition, I was promised they would order floor mats missing at time of sale. After several calls and emails 2 weeks later, I've lost patience with the lack of response. I've left emails and messages but it takes them several days to acknowledge my call at which time I get a generic promise to resolve but no actual delivery of promise. It's frustrating-I'll have to drive over in person and try to resolve. At this point I'm having a bad after sale experience.
We recently went to Auction Direct to look for a Jeep. We found what we were looking for and filled out a credit application. We Auction Direct submitted the loan app the over priced the loan amount we were quoted. They claimed they gave us an out-the-door price, then when we were notified by the bank, we noticed that they had written the loan for $5,000 more (in warranties/taxes). This resulted in loan denials, no one in their right mind would have loaned us 21,000 for a 2004 Jeep. They told us the cost would be 16,000 (+/-) out the door. Our bank told us up front that the most they could lend for this Jeep would 17,000 dollars. They ran our credit so many times, that lenders were telling us denial... too many inquiries!
