My friend and I planned a pamper yourself day. She had been raving that I had to try getting a pedicure at the Bellagio Day Spa & Salon. I had never been there but she assured that they were amazing and worth every last penny. So I called around 12 noon to make an appointment for the two of us at 5:00 pm. The girl that answered said she would have to call the other store and get an extra technician to come in as they would be short staffed. She explained that she would call me back in a few minutes. Almost an hour later after not hearing from her I called back. She said she was just about to call me and that she had us set up for two pedicures at 5:00 pm (this is not the same receptionist mentioned later.) After running to all of our other appointments my friend and I showed up at the Bellagio at about 4:45 pm. We were told that the girl had never set our appointment because they had no record of it. After a few minutes of re-arranging the staff found two chairs for us and the wonderful experience was supposed to begin. We chose the Bellagio Pedicure which is their most expensive along with a French pedicure polish. I immediately told my technician that I have bad feet and I would really appreciate if she took the time to make sure they were smooth. She agreed and then as time went on I realized that she was done with the smoothing process and my feet were not smooth. This is something that is expected. The normal place that I get pedicures from charges less than half the price of the Bellagio and they make sure your feet are smooth every time. So after some convincing from my friend I asked the technician if she could please smooth them out some more because I was not satisfied. She started to but really didn??t do anything extra she complained that she was tired and her arm hurt. If this is the case and this is what you do for a living then you have a serious problem. She should have found a different technician for the job if she was that tired. It was about this time that the girls began to prepare to paint our toe nails. Then we realized that we had not received the Bellagio Pedicure but the European Pedicure. After our nails dried we made our way back to the front desk. I explained all the things that had made this a horrible experience and just how unsatisfied I was at one of the most upscale salons. The receptionist (who I might add was amazing and should be working for a better company) listened to my complaints and called the manager/owner? (not sure) over. This man had the audacity to hand my friend and I each a ??grab bag? as some might call it. A little gift bag with some body lotion in it. They did charge us appropriately for the European and not the Bellagio Pedicure. The receptionist asked the manager if she could charge for the pedicure but not for the French polish which was an additional $8.00 a piece. He replied no. A discount would have been nice for all their errors or to build up the business maybe offer a gift certificate to come back so that they can prove they are normally not this horrible. This guy thought he could smooth over whatever wrong had been done with a stupid lotion?? At the very least he should have asked another technician to make me happy and finish what I had asked for. Even the receptionist looked shocked that giving us lotion was all he was going to do to correct the problem.
