I was shopping in Grand Plaza and stumbled on this optometrist. What a great frame selection! The doctor was great and like the other reviews said she goes into lots of detail and explains everything. Not your quicky costco or Lenscrafter exam. I got my new glasses and am very happy with them. I would recommend Grand Vision to anyone
looking for a good eye exam in North County.

Very happy with my experience at Grand Vision. Dr. Fu was very
competent. Answered all my questions unlike my last doctor. I will
bring my daughters to see her from now on.

I've worn bifocals for the last 10 years. I had a really bad attempt at wearing the no line bifocals in the past, so I was strongly set against them this time around for my new eye exam. Dr. Fu was really... I guess "thorough" is the correct word to use here. I really felt like all of my questions about the lenses were answered well, and she really took the time to make sure I understood everything. I decided to give the new type of no line bifocals a try, and although I was a bit skeptical at first, I was happily surprised. When I got my glasses back, I could see everything, including my computer screen (which had been giving me trouble with my old glasses). I'm glad my wife made me go see Dr. Fu, and I will be recommending her to all my friends and family.

I used to see a different doctor once a year for my regular eye exams. For years, my eye sight was getting worse, and he told me it was just old age. Finally, last time I saw him, my vision was so bad that he referred me to a specialist. The specialist ran a bunch of tests, including an MRI, and he referred me to yet another specialist. That doctor did some more tests, and in the end, no one could tell me what was wrong. I was getting really frustrated and upset, and I thought I was going blind.
My daughter took me to lunch one day, and while we were in the shopping center we saw Dr. Fu's optometry sign. Out of desperation, I thought, maybe I should get a second opinion. I walked in, and they scheduled me for an eye exam later that afternoon. When I went in for my appointment, I can't describe in words how I was treated. I felt like they really cared, like I was a person. Everyone was warm and friendly.
I told my entire story to Dr. Fu, and she really listened. The first thing she did was check my glasses prescription. Then she did a test with some yellow eye drops, and found out that I have a really bad case of dry eye. She started me on some prescription eye drops and had me start taking fish oil vitamins. At first I thought that this was not going to work. But as my vision got better and better, I became a believer. I can't believe I wasted so much time and money (not to mention how worried I was) on all these tests and doctors when Dr. Fu found my problem right away.
I still don't see as perfect as I did when I was younger, but I see better than I ever have in the last 10 years thanks to Dr. Fu. I can't even explain how it feels to think you are going blind, and then find out that everything is ok. I am sending my entire family and all my friends to Dr. Fu from now on!

This was hands down the best vision exam I've ever had. Dr. Fu was so nice, and she was really thorough - she took her time to explain everything to me, and answered all of my questions and concerns. My other doctor never checked my eye health, but Dr. Fu did, and told me why it's so important (My mother and sister have glaucoma). I had the retinol pictures taken of my eye, and the staff member helping me (Stephanie?) even offered to email them to me.

I just got my new glasses back last week, and I love them. I got the transitional glasses with glare coating, and I didn't even know until I picked them up, but apparently I have a 2 year warranty against scratches. My insurance covered everything, so I only paid a $20 copay. Everyone was so helpful - these people really bent over backwards to help me out. Thanks Dr. Fu!

I've been trying to find a good optometrist for years. Finally stumbled into Grand Plaza in San Marcos while shopping and found Grand Vision - so glad I did. Dr. Fu is extremely patient. Spent a long time explaining to me every detail and things I should watch out for, unlike the 5 minute "drive through" exam I had at Lenscrafters last year. The frame selection is also very extensive, and I was very happy with the progressive glasses I ordered. Definitely recommend my family and friends to them.

I will never go back. The first pair of glasses I got were not comfortable so I switched to a less expensive frame. They talked me into an anti-reflective lens which was terrible. They were scratched within a week. Took them back for regular lenses, waited a week and picked them up. One of those lenses had scratches in it. So I am out another week waiting for a replacement lens. I have never had so much trouble in my life. I should have gone to lenscrafters.

The 5* reviews I found on the Internet for "Grand Vision Optometry" led me there to find out that the place deserves the 5* - People there are nice, they have a nice selection of frames and they let me look and try all I wanted to find the frames I like; the Doctor is so nice and patient with the measurements back and forth to make sure I pick the right numbers...the glasses came out good and I concluded I had a nice experience with them which deserves this positive review to help other people go there with confidence - they will be pleased with the result.

I stopped into "Grand Vision Optometry" when I went to Nordstrom Rack about 1-2 weeks ago. They had a lot of glasses to choose from, and I ended up getting a really nice pair of sunglasses that they were able to put my prescription in. The people there were really nice, and when I stopped in today to pick them up, everything was perfect!

So I went to see Dr. Fu because I could never see very well with my contacts. I guess my old doctor ordered me the kind of contacts that don't correct for astigmatism - he never even told me that I needed astigmatism contacts. The new contacts that Dr. Fu let me try on made me see things really clear. I'm really happy with my new contacts. I also really like the glasses that I got. And Dr. Fu was really nice and helpful.
