When I had trouble with my car a little while back, a good friend of mine had recommended Tru-line to me. Unfortunately the ownership had changed from Steve to Tracy since he and his family last had work done there. I brought my car in for them to check out anyway ? they assured me that the diagnostics fee was only $30, and if any repair work was done at their shop the $30 would be applied towards the repairs.\r\n\r\nI left my car there in good faith that the new ownership would maintain the outstanding reputation the shop had enjoyed under its previous owner. When I went to pick the car up the following week I was fronted a bill for $127! I was told that the mechanic worked on the car for an hour and a half only to find that the diagnosis was anything but conclusive, and that further tests should be run! When I contested the outrageous bill and reminded the new ownership of the before mentioned diagnostic fee ($30) I was simply told : ?I don?t recall that conversation?\r\n\r\nMy bad experience should serve as a warning to anyone contemplating going to this place ? and if you do decide to go?get EVERYTHING in writing before you hand over your keys.
