Finally!!! A repair shop that knows how to fix vehicles. I had my car at the dealer $$$$ without fixing the problem. GnL had it diagnosed and fixed and on the road running Great! Will be a great customer at a great shop. Loved my experience

Who likes any car repair? But I'm so happy that I found a place that knows what they are doing. I 'm car sharp myself so I know when I can trust a shop, and I want it done correct, not cheap and have more problems later. Like I said I'm happy. I dont care about fancy facilities, I want to know they can do the job. Taking my mom there soon.

This place has been ran this way for many years, they will quote low and then when you go pick it up, bang inflated to around a 1/3 of the cost more and when questioned about the cost they replied, well we used quality parts and if you want us to put cheaper parts in then.... really stopped using this rip off practice years ago.

My husband and I have had our cars in for both small (e.g., front floor heater vent wasn't putting out heat) and large (e.g., major transmission work) repair jobs at G&L. The service has always been efficient and friendly. The work has always been accomplished in a timely manner and they are always on top of things if I simply drop by for a quick fix on something small (e.g., small inside door panel needed gluing in place). I have had instances where the final price was over the amount I was told over the phone, however, they have always substantiated the difference. I have also had occasions when they did work for me and didn't charge a penny. Great bunch of guys to work with.

Not only did they quote me a low price and then jack the price when I came to pick-up my vehicle, but they did the same to my 77 year old mother who lives on a small amount each month. They quoted me $600 and when I went to get the car it was over $900. My husband was furious. Then my mother took her car in and they charged her $6000 to do some minor repairs! My husband said my mom could have bought a whole new rebuilt engine for that price, along with a new transmittion. Her car is now leaking tranny fluid and doesn't have any money to repair it.

Not only did they fix my problem and they able to do it while I waited for it. Then I expected the bill to be real high but It seems one of my vacume hoses needed to be replaced. I was out of there for less then a hundred bucks WOW . I will make this my shop forever thanks G and L from all us senior citizens.....

They could have easily fixed what I ""thought"" the problem was, which often happens at dealerships. Instead, they saved me money by getting at the root of the problem while eliminating return trips to the shop, which would have been very expensive. I thank them for keeping my family in cars that run safely and well.\n

I could not agree more with the previous reviewer: I have had the exact same experience there. They definitely will give you a cheap quote over the phone but then when the bill comes, get ready for a surprise - it will be nowhere near what they suckered you in with. They are indeed very friendly and maybe that's how they manage to overcharge people without getting their customers mad enough to find another shop. They will not even discuss the overcharge - they just offer some vague excuse about how it took ""longer than they expected."" I would not recommend this shop to anyone: they are deceiving and the world has enough dishonest repair shops - I will never go back there.\r\n

I have a 1993 Chevy Bereta that I bought at an estate sale. It started and drove fine for about 45 minutes and then died at a light. It started up every time but when I put it in drive or reverse, it died. I called several places,,,, who do you trust???,,,, they all said bring it in for a diagnostic etc. I called G and L and the man I spoke with told me right away what the issue was. He called me back an hour later after doing a rescue of an elderly woman in a stalled car and gave me a price. I took my car in and they fixed it. These guys know what they are doing. My car runs great!!! Thanks!!

Cheap labor rates but they make up for it with the time they charge. Estimates arent worth the paper they are written on and when you confront them they tell you to leave. Go pay the more expensive shop and it will cost you less on the final bill.\r\n I feel Dirty.

Pros: nice receptionist lady

Cons: mechanic thinks hes ""the one"" . Place looks like a wrecking yard, showing them the exact problem doesnt help your labor times
