Don't bother 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Drinks were about as watered down as any I have ever had. If you are charging $8 for a drink you need to put a reasonable amount of alcohol in it. Nickle and diming on this low cost item is just plain dumb. You can make customers very happy with a stiff drink. Food was very average. Ambiance was nice but music a bit loud. Hostess was somewhat curt and condescending. I wouldn't go here again.

Pros: Decent ambiance; good location
Cons: Weak, overpriced drinks; snooty staff

Dont' waste your money 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

In our quest to try something new we stopped by one beautiful evening. We were seated prompty in the outdoor seating area. Though the hostess seemed annoyed that we waited at the hostess stand outside at the entrance of the sidewalk seating rather than the hostess stand inside, why put a hostess stand outside if you want customers to come inside for direction?

Then 15 minutes later our overworked waiter came by for our drink order. There were only 5 other tables out there filled. The inside was empty. This poor waiter was scrambling to keep up. The waiter came back w/o the drinks (which we needed at this point) but took our appetizer order... we still had high hopes. He eventually came back with both the appetizers and drinks & apparently all the other tables food/drink orders.

We did notice that they had 2 hostesses wandering about with not much to do. & overlooking the annoying dragonfly emblazoned Mercede's were 2 managers chatting, using their cell phones loudly & doing anything they could but take care of the customers. Call us crazy but if your waiter is drowning because your either 1. didn't hire enough staff for the evening or 2. someone or someone's didn't show up you would either 1. delgate drink orders or something to the superfluous hostess. Or crazier yet, take on some of the duties yourself so your patron's aren't so annoyed that they leave after the appetizer to go elsewhere.

We were appalled at the horrible service (not the waiters fault) and apparent lack of attention to any detail. If they spent half as much time taking care of the customers as they did making sure their car was painted just right, they would have had our loyalty. Of course we might be in the minority in believeing that value for our money is important & lack of attention often translates to lack of attention in area's that negate all those apple's a day.

Pros: Close to downtown
Cons: Service, price

We'll be back! 5 Star Rating - World class

Athough it took awhile for server to bring our drinks, the martini was yummy. Dessert was super delicious. We were accomodated to sit outside in a timely manner. Would come back for the food. it smelled great in there!

Pros: outside or inside seating available
Cons: music gets louder later at night

great food, great service 5 Star Rating - World class

Normally, I dont rate any restaurants at all, but last night's experience at Dragonfly was exceptional. I know it was the fourth of July, and despite the chaos and them being busy, our dinner experience went by smoothly. I came in with five friends with no reservations, and asked for outside patio table if necessary, and in spite of being busy, we only waited a good 7 or ten minutes for them to locate, clear and set up a table for us outside. We were directed to sit by the bar as we waited, and the bartender asked us how we were doing and if she could start us off with a drink. (After being carded YAY :) and we had a good laugh about it!!!) A moment later, we were directed to our table followed by someone offering us water and then waitress came. She was able to answer our questions regarding certain dishes, and we opted on (as recommended) the Kooteigh (potstickers), and Crabby Cheese Crunch (crab rangoon) for appetizers and the Honey Walnut Prawns, Mongolian beef and the Fiery Chicken and Duck Fried Rice for our main entrees. We waited for our appetizers for about 5 or so minutes while sipping our drinks, Can I say the Lychee Martini is to die for?! Anyway, over all, we got the service we deserved. I must emphasize that they were busy last night, parties of people coming in and out, having drinks at the bar, I believe they had an event going on as well because there were free food and samplers. But despite it all, we were taken care of, or at least someone made sure that our water goblets were never empty, we were asked how our meal was, our entrees were hot and just DELICIOUS, and enough for 5 hungry people. Its a really nice thing that people know their duties, and it showed because everything ran smoothly.

Pros: ambience, food, service, lychee martini, saw their lunch special
Cons: valet took a little longer to get car back, then again, they were busy
