Normally, I dont rate any restaurants at all, but last night's experience at Dragonfly was exceptional. I know it was the fourth of July, and despite the chaos and them being busy, our dinner experience went by smoothly. I came in with five friends with no reservations, and asked for outside patio table if necessary, and in spite of being busy, we only waited a good 7 or ten minutes for them to locate, clear and set up a table for us outside. We were directed to sit by the bar as we waited, and the bartender asked us how we were doing and if she could start us off with a drink. (After being carded YAY :) and we had a good laugh about it!!!) A moment later, we were directed to our table followed by someone offering us water and then waitress came. She was able to answer our questions regarding certain dishes, and we opted on (as recommended) the Kooteigh (potstickers), and Crabby Cheese Crunch (crab rangoon) for appetizers and the Honey Walnut Prawns, Mongolian beef and the Fiery Chicken and Duck Fried Rice for our main entrees. We waited for our appetizers for about 5 or so minutes while sipping our drinks, Can I say the Lychee Martini is to die for?! Anyway, over all, we got the service we deserved. I must emphasize that they were busy last night, parties of people coming in and out, having drinks at the bar, I believe they had an event going on as well because there were free food and samplers. But despite it all, we were taken care of, or at least someone made sure that our water goblets were never empty, we were asked how our meal was, our entrees were hot and just DELICIOUS, and enough for 5 hungry people. Its a really nice thing that people know their duties, and it showed because everything ran smoothly.
Pros: ambience, food, service, lychee martini, saw their lunch special
Cons: valet took a little longer to get car back, then again, they were busy
