Since 2008 the association that runs Montgomery woods has let it get worse. There are cable wires above ground that people and children can get hurt on there's trash even old tires on the grounds that haven't been moved for 2 years. The committee that runs this association is more interested in collecting dues then up keep the roofs are old faded and falling apart garage doors are rusting on hinges and rotting the wood decks are so covered in rot and mold they are actually green. The boring bees are in the area in mass from all the rotting wood. there are bare patches where there's no grass and landscaping that has died doesn't get replaced. If you contact the association about repairs all that does is make your life miserable they give reasons why even though the contract states they have to fix the rotting broken down buildings or parts there of. They say its the home owners responsibility and then stay on them till they fix it out of their own pocket. It's comparable to being ran by a Newark landlord. Princeton is a beautiful area Montgomery is a beautiful and proud community this is a horror that this exists as is. I know because I'm a home owner. If you want to pay for association dues while being told reasons why you have to fix what's wrong out of your own pocket this is the place to be. And if you do the slightest thing listed in that same contract they ignore they will send you notifications

The townhouses in Montgomery Woods are about 20 years old and starting to get tired. That said, you can't get access to the incredible school system for less money. The 5 models are 1200-1800 sq ft and prices start at about 300k as of early 2008. The association fee is expensive and you dont get much more than landscaping for it.
