If you value your own child/children, your time and schedule, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!.
They will call you to confirm if your children are comming in to see a doc on the day of appoinment but what they wont tell you is that they do not have meds to treat your children. They will try to re-schedule you "once you are there" and will tell you that your kid is on their top of the list so whenever the meds/vaccine comes in you are the first person get a call from them. LIES AND LIES!
Trust me, you will have easier time getting a huge concert ticket than get a med for your kid from this place.
Once they get their meds in, whoever just happens to be there get the med, and yes we have confirm this with few of our neighbors.

It gets even funnier when I ask them what the problem was with the shortage on the meds, one of their nurse told me that they could not deliever them since weather was too hot and they need to be "kept cold" (are they being delivered by tasty cake truck? ) but will deliver them sometime week after..... seriously....
and ofcourse no calls for a month now and I know two other kids got the meds that my child was supposed to get a week ago.

I can go on and on but let me conclude by saying this, I run my own business and I belive that it is very unorthox to talk trash about other establishment. Nevertheless this is one establishment that either needs to be shut down or major staff changes required to stay open. I was being a sucker for going there due to my overwhelming schedule sice it was closest from where I live but this ends today.

one more thing, if you are expecting a friendly treatment from nurse to your kid, forget it. there was a time where i actually wanted to slap that nurse in the face.

I have been complacent far to long with these people. From long waits,to not giving referrials.I have been a fool. One incident my teen age son feel at a picnic and had to get stitches at an emergency room. When it came time to have them removed it took him to Ambler Ped.After the long wait the NA look at my sons knee and said what stitches and walked out the room. When the Dr came in he said " I'm hear I'm hear to remove stitches that are there" ( smug not joking).Once he examined my son ( who has been a patient for 12yrs ) he removed the stitches and said I should consider plastic surgery because the scar was below the hem line. After he finished and gave me a referral for the PS and repeated the hem line, line again I informed him my son handsome as he is a boy and looks like a boy. Now the referrial issue a month ago.At gym my son got poked in the eye.The School Nurse call and said I should have a doctor look at him right away.I took him to his eye doctor ( Ambler was closed for lunch ) and because it was and emergency it has to be covered under my HMO not my I plan. He was treated and was fine. They told me to get a referral from Ambler Ped and only charged me my deductible.Ambler refused the referral saying I should have waited and taken him there( it cost me two hundred .I have been blessed and my 2 sons have had few Medical issues so I have been complacent but don't you be.After years of copmlaining after every visit for 15yrs i feel like a fool but.But I made a new appointment with another Dr.I have gone yet but feel better already.

I have had a good experience with Ambler Pediatrics. Specifically the doctor and nurse practitioners being spot on with the care they provided. The diagnosis was always correct and they are not quick to overprescribe. You will be treated with a bit of disdain if you do not vaccinate on schedule or do not follow the exact AMA guidelines. But, they will see your child regardless.

One plus is that my calls are always returned promptly, my child seen anytime I need him to be seen and I have never had a wait at the office.

Nurse is a bit brisk but capable. The doctor is experienced and has great affiliations. But, they are traditional in their care in every regard.

My son really likes the doctor and is very relaxed about being at the office...the office itself is quiet and laid back.

We were eager to use Ambler Pediatrics as our child's pediatrician when we were first pregnant w/ our first child. We met w/ Dr. Serota, asked all of our questions and he gave us all the answers we wanted to hear.

Pretty much from our first visit after our daughter was born we had issues.

1. After telling us during our prenatal interview that vaccinating on a schedule that didn't match the AAP's wouldn't be a problem... we were pressured and treated with disdain regarding this topic.

2. The doctors or nurse practitioners were late for EVERY one of the appointments we were there for....1yr of well baby visits as well as additional sick visits. We ended up scheduling for the very first appointment of the day... the doctor walked in 45min AFTER our appointed time...then we waited for another half hour after that!

3. The information they shared was incorrect or outdated. I was handed a 9mo handout at our well baby appointment that told me I could turn my daughter's car seat around forward facing as soon as she hit 20lbs (the minimum requirement is 20lbs AND 1yr...but the recommendation is to keep your child rear facing until they outgrow their convertible seat ...generally 30-33lbs). I pointed this out to the NP and she assured me it would be changed, it wasn't. At my daughter's 1yr visit she was only 17lbs, 15oz and Dr. Serota told me that I could now turn her forward facing. When I told him that we wouldn't do so until she outgrew her convertible seat he literally rolled his eyes at me!

4. When my daughter had a reaction to Augmentin just after her 1yr visit we were told that she didn't have an "allergic reaction" to the medicine, just a "reaction" and that it would be fine for her to take it again. When I told that to our current pediatrician she asked me what the difference was. I had asked the same thing and was told that unless my daughter had hives (she only had a rash that occured immediately after dosing), that she wasn't allergic to it. My current pediatrician said that any reaction is an allergic reaction and that my child should never have Augmentin or amoxicillian again.

Having Ambler Pediatrics as my daughter's pediatric practice truly was the worst case scenario that I could have ever imagined. We now attend a practice where we are treated with courtesy and respect, where we never wait more than 5 minutes for our appointment, and where everyone ...office staff and doctors alike... are professional and know their stuff.

I strongly encourage every parent to stay FAR away from this practice!
