I purchased a new BMW and signed my contract on 5-27-2013. I had a horrible customer service experience that the new car General manager could not resolve. I took it up to the President/owner of the dealership and it could not be resolved. I then called BMW USA and filed a formal complaint on 6-14-2013. That same day, I got a call from the General Manager stating that the President/ owner of the dealership was not happy that I got BMWUSA involved and that they wanted their car back. I explained that I was uncertain of the legality behind their verbal request and was then threatened that my deposit would be returned. Upon further investigation with BMW USA financing, this dealership never submitted my signed application for finance even though I signed the contract 18 days prior and also wrote them a large deposit in which they cashed. I have filed formal complaints with the BBB, the Florida Office of Financial Regulation as well as with Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Buyers Beware. I will be returning this vehicle to the dealership immediately and taking my business to a BMW dealership that is deserving of my business.

I just purchased my son's first car at BMW of Sarasota. The sales associate was THE BEST, the whole presentation of the dealership and their management team....FANTASTIC!!!

We currently own 2 Bentleys, one in Miami and the other one here in Sarasota,we are trading one of them tomorrow for a BMW 760Li. The general sales manager, Mr. Ruiz has been the most knowledgeable and helpful individual I've ever encounter in all my years buying cars (over 150) all high line.

I would recomend this dealership to anyone that is serious in buying a BMW...please ask for Mr. Ruiz and the whole world will be placed at your feet.

Before I bought my brand new BMW B7 Alpina from BMW of Sarasota yesterday I did exactly what you are doing now, I checked their feedback from other users and I just had to see what was it all about, beside, they were the only BMW dealer within 200 miles of my city that had the car I wanted.

Well, to make my story short. My wife and I showed up and asked the receptionist for the sales person that spoke to me over the phone the day before, his name is Eddie Cintron. This guy really knows how to handle a high roller like me, he showed us the car that by the way was immaculate and as he told me so over the phone. I purchased it within 5 minutes. The sales manager that was in charge of my sale was Mr. Marcos Ruiz. If I would have not been retired I would hired this guy on the spot, he is worth all the money, he made us feel like at home. I can not beleive that I wrote a $152.000 and I didn;t regreat it like I have in the past from other dealers.

These guys are the best.

BMW of Sarasota is absouutely the WORST dealership I have ever dealt with. Be warned and DO NOT buy from them.
I was disappointed in the Finance / Business Manager and his pushy manner. He rushed through the paperwork regarding financing through BMW of North America. I was never offered the three different options of low interest financing, two years of maintenance, or $500 a month credit for three months. It was never discussed and I was only given a contract to sign for 3.9% for 60 months.

I understand that this dealership also sells high end Lamborghini sports cars and my BMW X5 is a much smaller sale; however I should not have left feeling demeaned, and substandard.
Two days after my purchase of the Certified Pre Owned BMW X5, the check engine light came on.
I took it for service at BMW of Ft. Myers. The staff advised me that the battery needed to be replaced - apparently the battery had a recall and should have been taken care of before this car was sold to me in Sarasota. The car also had a tank venting valve replaced. I also asked them to replace the rear climate digital display and front ashtray, both of which were not functioning properly on delivery of the car. Another concern with my X5 purchase is the fact that when I purchased this CPO vehicle, I was given only one working key.

BMW stresses that their CPO program is so thorough: ??Not every BMW becomes a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle. In fact, there's an entire certification process, including a rigorous inspection. They must pass an extensive examination - a thorough and rigorous inspection by BMW factory-trained technicians.? If this is the case, then why is my car in service two day??s after delivery with these five problems? Also, the ??rigorous inspection? completely overlooked routine maintenance which should have been taken care of several months ago.

Oh did I also say that the owner of BMW of Sarasota will be doing NOTHING to rectify this...certified letters have been mailed to a variety of leaders at BMW of North America, and...NOTHING!!!!!!What a shame.

Became suspicious of the dealership due to the demeanor of the salesman and the sales manager and went to DMV and had them do a check. The vehicle had been titled. Went to the dealership and confronted the salesman and the sales manager and the sales manager presented me with a Car Facts document that he said I signed proving that I knew the car had been titled. I told him I have never seen this document and that is not my signature. I signed immediately in his presence and we verified that it was not my signature. I also told him to look at the date at the bottom of the internet printed document. The date was 10/12/10. I then told him to look at the date on all the contract documents. It was 10/9/10. I then said why would I go into your dealer ship 3 days after the original purchase and sign a Car Facts Document. I then contacted BMW North America and BMW Financial and they gave me the runaround for two weeks and then said I would have to go back to the dealer. Dealer did several things to try to further gain financially including not giving me the Holiday Rebate that I had coming. I am amazed that such a high profile company is willing to risk their reputation by using such shady tactics!!! I will never buy another BMW again!!! Buyer Beware!!! I read all of the good reviews and they are obviously placed there by the dealership. Notice how many have the dealership website added at the bottom. How many genuine reviewers would include this? One review states that "last Saturday we walked into the dealership to purchase a 1 Series" It states that the service after the sale was extrordinary. Dealership would have a great deal of servicing to do after 1 week wouldn't they??? More deceptive tactics BMW of Sarasota??

BWM of Sarasota has everything to do with BMW! New BMWs used BMWs, excellent BMW parts and high quality service on all BMWs. They have some great finance plans too.
