Great experience!
I loved this experience! My husband and I went for a date and then the next week took several families for a birthday celebration... I loved the unlimited nature of the creations and I was able to make several creations to try. After making your creation, it only took a few minutes for it to come to the table. On our second visit, we actually had 6 children in tow and they had a great experience. They loved making their own creations and it was a great way to get them to eat a lot of vegetables. They loved creating with the sauces and comparing creations with their friends!
I would highly recommend it!
Pros: Environment, fresh ingredients

Entertaining eating experience
A few weeks ago I finally got to go to experience this restaurant my husband patrons on a regular basis, since it's next door to his office. I have to say, all the good things he said about this place was an understatement for how excellent the experience truly is. The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining how the stir fry bar works. They even have recipes that are tried and true that you can make if you don't feel you have the nerve to try one of your own. The great thing is that if what you made is not good, then try again. That's the best thing about it! We made small portion so that if we did messed up we didn't waste a lot of food. While we were there the chef/manager was preparing dishes for a panel of Hot Stix employees (managers?) that were tasting the dishes he brought to them. The whole experience from the food, atmosphere, and the staff, was absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Pros: Food, atmosphere, friendly staff
Cons: Not one closer to my home

crossing my fingers
This is a great concept. My boyfriend and I checked it out last night, and though I have a couple of complaints, it was mostly a good experience. I agree that the price can't be beat. I love the endless recipe choices, and the fact that it's all you can eat, so if you make a bad concoction, just try again. Our server was a very sweet, nice girl who paid us lots of attention, and she recommended the fried cheesecake for dessert which was a beautifully presented, absolutely delicious treat. The interior of the restaurant was very stylish and in a nice new setting over at the Lindberg development. They also have complimentary valet parking.
So, what I didn't like was the rice that had sat out for too long, there were barely any other people there (but a ton of employees), you have to pay extra for pita bread (and only get one piece at that), and what I thought was just an off-tasting sauce that I was trying may have actually been a burnt taste from the grill, since my boyfriend also thought it tasted burnt and he had used a different sauce. But these things are all correctable, and I would assume it's mostly due to growing pains. I just hope this place gets more business, so it can stick around.
Hot Stix, if you are reading this, take a cue from similar restaurants up north. Serve complimentary freshly made rice and pita bread right to the table. And clean the grill better between customers. And think about joining Diningperks. Turner employees get these restaurant gift certificates all the time and would use them at your restaurant. Good luck!

Fabulous food, great sauces, healthy and reasonable!!!
If you "like" Chow Baby, you'll absolutely "LOVE" Hot Stix! The sauces are incredible! I've now been there several times and can't resist making my stir fry into a salad because of the oriental dressing. It's the chef's very own and I'm hoping he'll bottle it!
Just like any new restaurant, there are growing pains but the staff is working hard and they're very pleasant! They now have their liquor license so it's a great place to get a healthy meal and enjoy a glass of wine. The decor is really cool. It feels like an upscale Buckhead restaurant but only $11.99 for dinner - all you can eat. You can't beat the price. If you eat a healthy meal, you won't feel so guilty getting the desserts which are hands down some of the best I've eaten. They have a fried cheese cake that is delicious. My favorite is the mango pie. It's a lot like key lime but better because it's so unique. The unsweet iced tea is different, too and really good if you're a tea drinker.
We've taken several friends to the restaurant and no one has walked away disappointed. I think it's because of all the choices you get. If you mess up your bowl, just get another! It's a great concept in a great location with free parking!

Great experience
Just tried Chop Stix today for lunch first time. Ditto the below users comment of, "WOW!". I had already heard that the food & experience were great, but after trying for myself, I was equally impressed! The atmosphere was very inviting and very Asian-themed (lots of red), very "hip," to say the least. There was actually a wait (for a table) at lunch-time, which was a good sign that this brand new restaurant was already doing well. We were then seated and the server fully explained the step-by-step process of "how" to go about putting the massive concoction of food (noodles, rice, veggies, sauces, meats GALORE) together in 2 separate bowls for final cooking by the chefs, and delivery to our table. This is all-you-can eat (lunch), so recommendation is to put together small amount(s) first time around, to allow for room for round #2 to sample all the other fine and interesting items on the large do-it-yourself buffet. Though I had NO room left for dessert, their mango cheesecake looked delectable (imagine a key-lime pie type dessert). Last, try the (sweet) peach-flavored ice tea, very yummy! Give this place a whirl, you shouldn't be disappointed, and will leave the place feeling quite full, but with a smile on your face realizing how TASTY & CREATIVE the food, and your experience, just were. I can't wait to go back, again and again ... all for the all-you-can-eat low price of $7.99. Bon apetit!!
Pros: Very tasty food, tons of buffet-line food choices, nice Asian-themed / hip atmosphere
Cons: A few dishes were dirty (clean plates), service sometimes lacking (but not bad)
