Our preschooler takes ballet classes at Adagio. We have been impressed with the teachers; my daughter can't wait for her ballet class. The girls listen to a story, dance, and wear a beautiful outfit at the end of the class, which they show off to their parents. However, I have found the school's make up policy to be unfriendly. There are only a couple of classes earlier in the day that the girls can attend. Considering that the classes are not cheap I think that there is room for improvement.

Our daughter has taken dance at Adagio Ballet and Dance School from its founding. We adore the teachers, we adore the program, and we have always been very impressed with the rigor of the instruction and care of the teachers. They believe in fundamentals, they believe in hard work, and they believe in having fun at Adagio - which is why our daughter has stayed with the program all these years. Our daughter also has made close friends at Adagio, and her skills have transferred wonderfully in athletics and more generally in social life: she is more poised and confident as a result of her training at Adagio. We are very lucky to have this dance school in northern Virginia - I have no hesitation giving Adagio 5 stars!

As the owner of Adagio Ballet I must tell you, we have worked VERY hard for our success. We started off as a one-person shop with a handful of students but in just a few years we built a great reputation in Arlington. My wife Svetlana, who created the curriculum spent days and nights, year after year, writing and refining new ways to teach dance to children. As we grew, our great staff continued adding onto this base to create a Ballet and Jazz program that balances entertainment with technique to perfection.
We proudly own and operate one of the finest dance educational institution for children in the area! Come and join our dream!
