Best kept secret in Atlanta for sushi is the Sushi House in Buckhead. It's a great find dont let the location in a shopping center fool you, they have great fresh sushi in a hip, relaxed atmosphere.
Starters range from the piping hot edamame sprinkled with sea salt, to crunchy cool seaweed salad, and the shumai (steamed dumplings) that melt in your mouth. Sushi House has a long list of specialty rolls beyond the standard Philly roll you see everywhere. If you like spicy, try the baked Florida Roll with spicy tuna & topped with salmon; or to really turn up the heat, the Emperor Roll with seaweed salad, tempura flakes, chili sauce, sesame oil with yellow tail and tuna, topped with avocado and salmon. Yum!
Doing the low carb thing? The sashimi is always fresh with a pretty presentation, and the Geisha and Kuki Rolls leave out the rice with cool cucumber or asparagus to add a great crunch. If your friends who arent into raw fish are along, there are plenty of options for them to enjoy, from the Super Shrimp Roll filled with shrimp temp, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado & spicy mayo with a shrimp topping to traditional and tasty Teriyaki (salmon, beef, chicken) or Tempura (chicken, shrimp) dinners.
