Hi every body! Thank you for your good reviews:) I am sorry that there have been so many mix ups with who is working here now! I am the new spa treatments specialist at the spa. Sorry to inform you that the stylist listed in the other review was let go, due to some poor work ethics. Hello everyone! I just started working at this salon and I agree about the disorganization but I hope to help that! I have been doing hair for 4 years and I love it! Anyone who comes in to see me I will give you a free haircut with your first color service and for every 3 referrals you send to me I will buy your next cut! The salon business is hard and so please give the salon another chance!

I didn't get an answer right away when called to schedule a massage but when I called back in a couple of hours I got an appt to come in right away within the hour. Ashley is an excellent masseuse and while I believe the rates may have gone up since the last time I had a massage - she was very nice and it was well worth it to move my shoulders from up around my ears to their normal unstressed placement. I thought it a little strange that the owner? seemed to stay in the next room for my entire visit and got an ugly look in her eye when I asked about Amy while paying for my services. I first went to Chateau Rouge because of the online reviews for Amy - I have wavy hair that's difficult and wanted to find a stylist that could deal with it well. I'm not great about going in for styling often but I'd seen Amy three times in a year and really thought she was great - loved my hair stylings, she saved me with some corrective coloring when I made a bad home color choice, she always was friendly and pleasant to me and chatted with me nicely (though I'm pretty dull I have to admit). I didn't feel rushed in and out and just enjoyed the whole experience. Amy told me to mention her name for a discount when I asked for another service like massage and I was surprised when I was told on the phone Amy was no longer with Chateau Rouge. I think I last saw Amy in May or June? I asked where she'd gone and no one could tell me. I'd really like to find her again if anyone know where she's working?.

I recently went into Chateau le Rouge for color and cut because I noticed that they had a special on CitySearch for $75. Amy, the stylist there did my hair and she was so knowledgeable. She was very thorough with the consultation and I felt she knew exactly what I wanted and the end result proved that. I am going back and am so glad that I found a place so close to my home in Mayfair.

I recently visited Chateau Le Rouge with a gift certificate that I was given by my husband for my birthday. I had a facial done by the esthetician. She knew what to do with the problem I have with sun spots and recommended a product that is helping. I go back to her now every other week for micro-derm. I also had a massage and it was great. The room was so nice and relaxing. I drove in the past by this place several times and never knew what it was, but the outside of the building does not do it justice. It is beautiful inside and the staff was great. I will be going back next week to get my hair done.

The pictures don't do it justice! Beautiful, fun, classic, inspirational & relaxing space. Gail was so sweet & the massage was amazing! Massage room is a sanctuary. Guy was fun & enthusiastic while willing to experiment on my hair! He definitely took his time & discussed what I wanted in detail. While educating me on styling & maintenance. New client special was totally worth it! Will go back again! It has it all, great ambiance, spa, nail salon, barbers & stylists. Who knew such a treasure was hidden on Colfax? Highly recommended!

I've been searching all over Denver for 3 1/2 years for someone to cut my wavy/curly hair and now I have Amy! She's an awesome hairstylist and colorist and a great listener. I believe that Amy just recently got her license but she cuts like a super-pro. It's too bad that a disgruntled employee are ruining the reviews. The salon is beautiful and although I haven't tried a massage there I felt relaxed just looking at the beautifully-decorated massage room.

My first visit was great. I have a hard time finding a salon I like. I have even been to the top rated salon in Cherry Creek and was not impressed. It started with the phone call to make the appointment - the person who answered was very courteous and helpful. When I arrived I was greeted right away. The salon was clean and busy with clients. The stylist came out to get me promptly and was very polite and friendly - very professional her name is Danielle. She has been doing hair for 8 years. She was very knowledgeable about hairstyles, color and products they sold. I recommend this salon to anyone looking for a good salon/stylist. The prices are awesome. They offer all kinds of packages and specials for new and returning clients. They offer spa and nail services too, which I will try in the near future.

I went to Danielle at Chateau Le Rouge two weeks ago to see if she could fix my hair from the last job I got at different salon. Which mind you my hair was breaking off!! Danielle saved me, she took care of my hair by giving me a conditioning treatment, it was a process but, she saved me! My hair looks and feels AMAZING. She also gave me some great highlights for spring and my haircut, WOW!!!! The salon is great prices are totally reasonable and the products are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend this place I get compliments all the time! ---Danielle, GIRL YOUR THE BEST!!!

I tried to make an appointment at this salon, nobody picked up the phone, I left a message, nobody called me back. I then went to the salon to try to make an appointment, I walked in, no one was even there. No receptionest, no stylist. I stood there for a while and nobody came to greet me or see if I wanted a service done. Horrible customer service, and just plain wierd. I have never been to a place that is open, yet nobody is there. After 2 attempts of trying to go there I gave up. I know its under new managment now, who ever is managing this place need to get it together, so people dont waist there time calling and going to a salon where nobody works. It was a wierd and annoying experience. I told my friends aout my experience, I know alot of them used to go there, and they wont go back. I found out later that it had happened to them too.

No Stylists

So this place is advertized as a spa and salon, how when there are no hairstylists there, no products, i agree with the ghost town thing. Im not sure they sould advertize hair unless they have hair people. Plus its on colfax, who the hell whants to go there. I will never go back, or call, they never answer the pnone, or return messages. I would not recommend going there!!

I went and interviewed at this salon. The manager saw my website and was amazed. She loved me and wanted me to start asap. I was interviewed on tues Aug 11 and I was going to start work on Friday. She was supposed to call me and let me know the deal for Friday. Well she never called to I called her. Her responce to me was," I knew this wasnt going to work, you are way to demanding" So she went from loving me and telling me she had turned down multiple stylists, and I was going to be perfect for her salon, to me being to demanding, She has problems and the salon will never make it with her aditude. So beware stylist dont even go there, she is a wierdo. I have been in the business for 10 years, and have never experienced something like this.

What Happened??

So I came into this place about a month ago and they had hairstylists, massage therapists, etc. I walked in yesterday and the door was unlocked, but no one was in there. I heard voices upstairs, but there wasn't a soul around. Now I see that the hairstylists are gone and their girl that did my massage last time I was in is gone. What happened to this place? I heard rumors the gal that does facials and waxing wanted to run the place and got the owner to get rid of the manager and hairstylists. If that is the case, the owner made a huge mistake. This place is a ghost town!!

This place turned out to be pretty flippin cool. I gotta say, when I realized it was on East Colfax and saw the building, I was a little nervous. But I didn't let the $75 color and cut special hold me back. Can I just say, GREAT EXPERIENCE! close to my house, beautiful interior, nice people and the local park hill neighbors to boot. AND PARKING! I'm glad that they are close and they are good. I always want to support a local small business, but this is well worth it. I am going back to try out that $39 massage. I had to after looking at that gorgeous spa.

I like this place for a couple reasons. One that it's in Park Hill (I'm pretty sure it's one of the few if only salons in the immediate area) and another that it's beautifully designed and has a lot of potential to grow into one of the best salons in Denver. From what I understand, there have been some hiccups in the startup of the business but the staff has weathered it all with a lot of grace.
Amy is a great colorist and stylist--my hair is getting compliments for the first time in a while. It's extremely damaged from past dye jobs, but Amy worked with it and managed to get it to a consistent and natural color. Believe me, I'm a difficult client in a lot of ways, but I always leave Chateau happy.

I have had nothing, but great experiences at the salon. Amy has been doing my hair since before she started there and has always done a great job! She has a great personality and always takes her time and listens to what I want. I had been looking for someone new to do my hair and I will contiune to reccommed and go to Amy. I am looking forward to also trying out other things that the salon offers.

I recently went into this salon and got my hair cut by Guy. He was great and I really liked my haircut. The salon is really cool inside. They even have a lounge area for clients to watch tv. Everyone seemed to be really nice. The only downfall was that I wanted to make an appointment to get a facial and I was told that their skin specialist was no longer there. But, the manager was nice enough to offer me a discount on my next service and even remembered to call me days later to tell me they have a new esthetician so I was able to make an appointment after all. I had a pretty good experience here and I would recommend it.

I was in Chateau Le Rouge today because I got a gift certificate from my husband for a massage for my birthday. I was amazed. My massage by Gail was EXCELLENT!!!! The best massage I ever had!!! Amy who is the manager there made time for me in between clients to trim my hair. I really liked how I was treated by both Gail and Amy. The salon has a french decor look and looks great! I also bought a handbag in their boutique. The spa is beautiful. Very relaxing. They offered my a spa special to bring back my mother for Mother's day. I was pleased! You are missing out if you don't stop by this great place.

I have had GREAT experiences with Amy

I have had only great experiences with Amy. My first time having her cut my hair was early Feb. She took about 3 inches off my hair and it looked great. It was really fun to work with her despite the difficulty of taking so much off. I have a tatoo on my neck that needs to stay covered so she totally worked with what I needed and had suggestions to still make the cut stylish. I went back in a few weeks later just to add more drama to the cut and she charged me very little because in her words "it wasn't a full cut". Nice touch. Amy spends so much time with me each time and we have a great time. My last visit, she gave me tons of tips so I can get the most out of my hair cut. Amy is always sweet, fun and polite. Amy is the kind of girl you'd love to have as a girlfriend. I find it hard to believe anyone has difficulty with her...maybe the problem other have reported isn't necessarily Amy?? I have recommended her to all my girlfriends. Half the fun of going to get my hair done is Amy and I always leave looking my best.
Pros: fun styist, great cut, spends lots of time w/ me, never rushed, fit me in last minute

Danielle at Chateau Le Rouge Salon was one of the most dazzling, talented and focused hairdressers I've ever encountered, if not THE most. I can't recommend her enough. Danielle Sanchez is hands down the best stylist I have ever been to. I recently had highlights and haircut by her, and once again, she has done a TERRIFIC job, so I feel compelled to sing her praises!! Danielle is a Master Stylist with many years experience she spends a great deal of time talking to you about your hair analyzing the color, style and texture. Most importantly, she REALLY LISTENS! I have relatively thick awkward wavy hair I have learned a lot of styling secrets. She gave me a cut that is easy to maintain and extremely flattering. I love the results and atmosphere every time I visit Danielle at Chateau Le Rouge.
