Great Urban Upscale Night Spot
Great upscale night spot in Houston's museum district. The DJ played great R&B urban adult contemporary for the mature audience. Buffet dinner was provided and it was great with four assortments of enjoyable and tasteful food. The environment is welcoming. The aesthetics of this completely renovated victorian mansion are beautiful. You'll have a great time. Ask for Bryan, the owner/manager he's the perfect host. This is the type of upscale place Houston has needed for a long time. Enjoy!

WILL RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!
I ALSO ATTENDED ON SATURDAY AND ARRIVED ABOUT 10PM AND WAS VERY DELIGHTED WITH THE DJ AND HIS MUSIC SELECTION. I ACTUALLY WENT OVER TO TALK TO HIM AND ASKED ABOUT A FEW SONGS THAT HE PLAYED THAT I NEVER HEARD BEFORE, AND HE DID MENTION THAT HE WAS UNDER THE WEATHER AND THAT HE WOULD NORMALLY ANNOUNCE THE UNFAMILIAR SONGS OVER THE MIC BUT HE WAS VERY HOARSE. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY RELAXED AND VERY TRENDY. THE WAIT STAFF MANAGEMENT AND BAR STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. I WILL BE A FREQUENT CUSTOMER TO THIS NEW ESTABLISHMENT. THIS IS A 5 STAR ESTABLISHMNET
Pros: DJ WAS VERSATILE WITH THE MUSIC
Cons: PARKING IS NOT ALL THAT BUT PAY THE PARKING FEE IT IS VERY WELL WORTH IT ONCE YOU ARE IN.

Great adult atmosphere!!
I attended a birthday party this past Saturday (10/25/08) and was impressed upon entry. The decor was nice and the atmosphere caters to a mature crowd. The service was prompt and the drinks were reasonably priced. I did notice that at midnight the crowd thinned out considerably. I plan to return with friends very soon!!
Now, for the music...... I arrived about 10pm and I didn't hear the dj say one word on the mic the entire time I was there. (He did make reference to those celebrating their birthdays but that was it.) He didn't mix his musical selections very well and he played way to much old school. This is such a nice place to relax and and unwind however; the dj will have to pick up his game and rotate a wider variety of music.
Pros: Atmosphere, decor, location, service
Cons: Dj's musical selection

Let's All Support This Spot
The Chateau reminds me of the old Wunder Bar,kind of upscale. The same Wunder Bar crowd.
A nice place to meet after work. All of you professionals, such as automobile sales people, realtors,
attorneys ect..... I have only hung out once, maybe it'll become a nice spot for me to hang out. I like to
have conversation with my friends and laughter. It's located in a very nice spot Mid Town, near the Museum
District which is a plus. The only thing that I recommend is that the Wine selection improves.Quality is good
quanity is great. I love my juice and I don't mind paying for it. An price friendly chardonnay and white zin is cool, but what about a pinot grigio or pinot noir instead of merlot, which is really always heavy. I don't want
to go on about my juice. So let's go to the next suggestion, when you say jazz, I was thinking maybe your
more experienced artist from tje Houston area, such as Kyle Turner or Dean James, those guys may cost
a little more, but you'll see a more stable crowd. Stable crowds means, stable clientel, stable business.
I like this spot. I would love to hear quality entertainment here. Guys you know that a way to a lady 's heart
is great jazz, well this lady anyway. Just pay 10.00 to 20 .00 sometime, it's worth it. Especially to keep our
African American establishments going, like the others. I f you know what I mean. Nubian Doll

The place to Chill, with your Boo!
The music was very enjoyable. I too had issues with the dj, he talked endlessly on the mic throughout the songs. Not Good! But the club floor plan is nice. The dance floor could have been just a bit larger for bigger parties, but overall it worked for those of us over 40't. I went on a Sat. night, got there around 11PM. I would say about 70 people were there, (3) in there twienties, (6) 30's, all others 40 +. That's right! no kids, and very little rap.
I plan to make another stop by on a Friday. it just may become my next hang out. See You there!
Nice Way to go Chateau!!!

Pros: It only cost $5.00 at the door
Cons: DJ over talking.

...I think I saw my mom here
My girls and I went there last night and we are around 25 years old. Entering the club was very upscale, very nice. The price of drinks was cheaper than average. In the main room I was blasted to 1950. The crowd was older..I think I saw my mother there or possibly my grandmother. Don't get me wrong the club is very nice if I was 40 or 50. The music was a nice range from ol school to new school. I did not like the dj, he talked on the mike too much. When he talked on the mike, you could not here the music. He talked wayyyy to much. Other than that, we had a good time. I'll come back when I get older..ohh its nice for couples--don't go by yourself. Peace.
Pros: Mood
Cons: The DJ
