The phone number listed is a calling center, not the store. They transferred me to customer service. I've been on hold for 10 minutes. The customer care staff you speak to also serve in-person customers--so it can be a long wait.

I had to refuse delivery of a dishwasher on March 5. When I received my statement HD had not yet credited my account. The reason is the delivery people do not report to HD that the customer refused the item so that HD can process a credit immediately. The customer has to call HD to report it and wait for HD to verify that the order was refused before issuing a credit. HD keeps your money until they do this. I would say poor follow through. And I'm still waiting fo rmy $700 refund.

On a positive note, the customer care representative was quite apologetic and polite and very straight-forward with information.

Home Depot has a reputation for treating its employees poorly. Instead of laying them off when the economy is bad, they cut back their hours until the individual quits, thereby avoiding unemployment compensation taxes.

I think I'll pass on them from now on.

Mostly what you expect from Home Depot. I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the service at this particular Home Depot is spotty -- you do actually have to ""hunt"" an employee down, wait a longish while for one to come to you even if you call for one -- you are often on your own at this Home Depot store. Once an employee does come to help, they are mostly really helpful, but you do actually get the impression that they are ""pressed for time."" \n\nThe nursery is hit or miss regarding plant selection. The $11 orchids can't be beat!\n\nHome Depot carries the most inexpensive automatic watering system in Seattle. Easy to assemble, it has made my garden THRIVE in the 100 degree summer we had last year. Get it and be happier with your garden. You can go to any Home Depot -- this is just the one that I frequent as it is closest to my home in Greenlake.\n\nFinish your visit here with a cheap but great snack at the taco coach on the side of the parking lot. No kidding, great breakfast burritos and cheap soft tacos and other authentic Mexican meals, very inexpensive and very good! A side benefit to this home depot!

Pros: good selection; well run store

Cons: not staffed fully; can not find a helping clerk very easily

I would not tell anyone to go here unless you were desperate to save some dough or you were lost on aurora. The staff literally hides from you. The only seeminly helpful staff are at customer service and they are generally swamped with angry people waiting in a line.\r\nAVOID at all cost the pegasus product line. No phone help should you need to find parts. Other plumbing stores will laugh at you for buying this product line. \r\nPerhaps if the home despot would stop funding race cars and hire and retain professional staff they could get back to their original quality and staffing. \r\n

Pros: lots of stuff (when you can reach it) but do you really want crud?

Cons: no staff, generally out of things, poor lumber quality and maybe 2 checkers
