Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I hardly ever write reviews but I was so impressed with Dickey's I just had to. The food is great of course, and they have 4 different sauces that you can put on your food so it's just how you want it. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly and accommodating, they make sure you have everything you could ever need. It's a great place for families, really laid back, you certainly can feel good about bringing kids here.

I was so excited to find out that there is a good old fashioned BBQ place in Durham when I moved here. The food is really authentic like its been cooking all day, but comes out fast. I got my food in under 3 minutes, no joke. And everything was delicious, there wasn't a thing that I would have changed about it. When you go, you have to get the hush puppies, they are cooked to order from real dough, not little preformed frozen things. I will definitely be back again and again!

We love to go to Dickey's. The food is really good, portions size is good. Prices are very reasonable, under $10. I love the Brisket. Kids eat free on Sundays, what a deal!

The barbecue is great. Excellent variety. The scene is calm and it is a very kid friendly environment. The serving staff is very accommodating, and quickly corrected my order when it was brought out wrong. They need more chicken varieties on the menu, but if you enjoy pork, this is the place to get some good ole BBQ.
