My family loves to go to Dixie Picnic. We have been there for breakfast and lunch only and aways had good food. the box lunches are great to take back to the beach and the best part are the upcakes they bake daily.

My family stopped at Dixie Picnic for breakfast on our last day at the shore. I wished we had discovered it sooner. The building is a quaint little house just a couple of blocks from the beach, and the food is simply unbeatable. Our breakfast were homemade and hearty, and so tasty. I believe my husband and I both got the "Same Old Same Old"--two eggs, applewood smoked bacon, toast, and some of the best home fries I've ever had. My 4-year old daughter was delighted to find out she could order chocolate chip pancakes, and boy, were they ever tasty. They also have french toast, breakfast burritos, eggs benedict, omelets, and other treats.

We plan on returning to Ocean City this coming summer, and I'm hoping to sample the fare that they are most known for--their box lunches, ready to be taken to the beach. Each consists of your choice of sandwich; potato, pasta, or fruit salad; a deviled egg; and a Dixie Picnic original "upcake," which is an upside down cupcake with frosting on the top and sides. Sounds great! They also have a dinner menu, including ribs, pulled pork, crab cakes, and burgers. This is good honest well-made food at a reasonable price.
