I have used the folks at MacAdvantage for about a year - from dealing with the coffee I poured on my keyboard to a crashed hard drive to better sound for itunes. They are wonderful - very knowledgeable and very patient for dealing with a computer doofuss like me. They had opportunities to charge me for stuff they did not take - they really try and give their customers what they need.

The Apple Store referred me to Mac Advantage when my hard drive failed and the genius at the Apple store couldn't access or recover my data. Within 48 hours the tech at the Mac Advantage had recovered ALL my data - music, photos, email, artwork and financial records and set me up with an automated back up so that I won't ever risk losing data again. Fast & Affordable. Excellent service from initial contact (they answer the phone!) to check in & quick turnaround. Bravo! Call to verify address. They were moving to a new location!

Within 12 hours of drop off with Tam all my data was recovered & restored. (This was after being told it was unrecoverable by techs at the biggest nationally known computer tech squad. The geeks had been unable to recover any of my data and still charged a fee!) How I found Tam was this: I mentioned the data loss to a financial officer (whom I also consider a friend) at my credit union. He highly recommended Tam for Data Recovery. The bank officer told me Tam had set up the whole computer network at the credit union, including an automated backup system. Truly World Class Data Recovery Service.

After hours and hours on the phone with Comcast and Apple over several weeks, and after having another company send a tech out who spent several hours trying to figure out the problem, we still had intermittent internet connection. A client recommended Tam at the Mac Advantage Apple Store - and within a few minutes of his arrival - the problem was solved never to return.

When I bought my Mac Pro at the Apple Store, I paid to have an extra 4GB RAM installed at the time of purchase. About 13 months later, one of the RAM chips went bad and I was surprised to find out my RAM purchased through Apple only had the same 1 YR warranty as my Mac Pro - and not a lifetime warranty as I expected. So I had to pay for a new RAM chip. A month later, I had Mac Advantage add four more chips of RAM and it was about half the price, came with a LIFETIME warranty and the RAM was identical to the 1 YR warranty Apple RAM! (same manufacturer\/type) Besides, they're a local business and just great to work with.

Words can't convey the gratitude we feel for the exceptional skill of the data recovery specialist at Mac Advantage Apple Computer Repair & Data Recovery. When our server hard drive crashed & our company's IT guy came to restore our data from our backup drive - he found our data hadn't been backing up for 6 months - and what was backed up was a scrambled mess. After two days of trying to restore our data, he gave up and called in a local data recovery company. After several more days with no success and a $300 invoice despite their failure, the data recovery company who was windows/pc oriented referred us to Mac Advantage Apple Computer Repair. They are Apple Computer specialists who specialize in Macintosh Data Recovery. Within a few hours of dropping off our hard drive, the Mac Advantage tech called to say they'd recovered all our data! Three techs tried - they succeeded. I like that they are confident enough in their abilities that they only invoice if they are successful - unlike others, there is no charge for a failed attempt.
