Fountains Day Spa

After months of stress, decided to treat myself to a nice long massage for my birthday. I picked the RIGHT place. Wow. Amanda was an amazing. I've had a lot of massages in my life and her deep tissue was really, really great. She is very intuitive about the right spots and her pace and pressure were perfect. Do yourself a favor. If you are looking for a great massage, go there and request Amanda. Highly Recommend.

I cannot say anything but the best about the Fountains Day Spa. I have been there three times for massages, facials and manicures and the service is impecable. The 100-minute massage, which I have had twice now, is the most relaxing and fabulous experience. provided to me by Edith. She is incredible. Everyone at Fountains is polite, pleasant and from the moment you arrive, you feel totally at home.

I have had the opportunity to visit Fountains Day Spa on numerous occasions over the past several years and have to say I have never been disappointed! I love to treat myself to a massage at least a few times each year and Fountains has become my spa of choice. I especially like to visit around my birthday (which just passed!) as a way to pamper myself. I visited earlier today and had the most wonderful Combination Massage. The atmosphere is so relaxing--from the moment you walk through the door to the serene ambiance of the massage rooms. The staff gives you a cheerful greeting when you arrive and makes you feel right at home. They even took my coat for me and had it waiting when my session was completed. My massage therapist, Patty, was amazing! I think she worked every knot out of my shoulders and back! I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! I look forward to the next opportunity to return--perhaps in anticipation to the hustle-bustle of the holidays! They are well known for their wonderful facials and I look forward to having one. I would highly recommend Fountains. And don't miss out on their great emails with monthly tips and daily specials!

I got a gift certificate for this spa and, having never been to a spa before, was a bit apprehensive. But the experience turned out to be totally awesome. The room was cozy, warm and inviting. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. Patty, my masseuse, was terrific. She got all the knots out in my back. I'm definitely going back!

I have been on several occasions and have tremendously enjoyed and benefited from Edith's strong hands and technique. Having studied with an orthopedist, it is quite apparent to me that she aptly applies her knowledge and has eliminated some of the neck and back pains I have suffered for years! She is by far the best licensed massage therapist I've had the good fortune to experience, and I've been to Canyon Ranch and various other local spas without the results, quick and complete, I have achieved with Edith. I highly recommend her and Fountains Day Spa in Alexandria.

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Fountains. We received couple's massage instruction from Johnathan. It was a very informative and soothing experience. We plan to go back again.

Step out of the hustle and bustle of Old town, Alexandria into the tranquility of Fountains. I loved the delicious tea that I was served while waiting for my massage. The massage was wonderful and overall experience top notch. I would highly recommend Edith. I have revisited several times with Suzanne (the owner) who knows me and my skin. Now I don't even have to give a history...she knows it and remembers it. The foot reflexology is great (thanks to Francis!) and was effective I felt great afterwards! I wanted a little more relaxation so I sat in the relaxation room. Overall, the place seemed small, but very, modern, peaceful, clean and staff friendly

I got my first brazilian from Sarah and I must say....I had anticipated the pain to be excruciating but to my surprise it wasn't. I mean, yeah it hurt like a mother but you know....you should expect it when getting waxed (especially down there!). I didn't know what to expect but Sarah was nice, honest, and explained things to me beforehand.

She talked to me throughout the whole experience, which kept my mind off the pain.
She is a master of technique!!

Sarah is THE ONLY one to go to for a fast, practically painless bikini wax. Her prices are ridiculously reasonable and she knows exactly what she's doing. I'm going back next month!

My husband bought me a gift certificate for a package called the "Stressbuster"...and that's exactly what I needed! (massage, facial, reflexology, and lunch)
First off this spa is a converted home, which is new for me and now looking back it was the perfect setting. It felt like a comfy bed and breakfast meets day spa. The staff was warm and welcoming~not at all uptight or snobby, very relaxing.
I started off upstairs with Leah for my massage and reflexology~I can't say enough about what that girl did for me! My back, neck, shoulders...I even feel taller, is that possible? Next was lunch, a delightful salad with fruit in a -dare I say it again comfy, relaxing area. I forgot how nice it is to have some quiet time! Someone came in to check on me as I ate lunch (this is important to me, I have a restaurant background) Anyway, after lunch I went downstairs and down the hall to my facial with Angela. We talked about what my skincare needs and she customized a facial to my skin type. (she also fit in a much needed eyebrow shaping!)
It was so nice to have someone take care of me. They really paid attention to detail~beyond my expectations. I left feeling like a new woman! This place is perfect little gem.
